Yes, they are subject to different rules for rest and such. I guess because they are not at the controls, so lives are not in their hands quite the same way as the pilots.  Though a FA has much more interaction with the passengers, and can make the difference between happy customers and mad ones much more so than a pilot on any given day.

But it is also true that such "guy talk" is misogynistic. Yes lots of guys say it and act that way, that doesn't mean it isn't prejudiced and sexist. As smile pointed out, sexism is rampant in our country.
 
The fact that people see "guy talk" as a valid excuse is only more evidence. No one sees a problem with the fact that guys all meet up and joke about grabbing women's genitals.

hilary forgot the most important standard for women in the united states, know your place. dems and hilary should have never, ever uttered the word misogyny during the campaign. they should have acted as if women in this country are equal in all things to their male colleagues and not viewed as possessions (thats simply archaic) or someone to be towered over or compelled into silence by a louder voice, no matter what the reality is.

please. billy bush is neither a buddy or confidant of trump. but i do agree this is how rich, entitled men, in positions of power (wealth) speak about women when they think no one of importance is listening. 

sort of says a lot about the state of justice in this country, now that this is out - he'll probably loose business. even though he's done nothing wrong except get caught up in a 'viral video'

In truth I don't want to vote for most candidates, regardless of gender, but that still doesn't explain why there is an imbalance in the number of candidates of each gender in the first place.

I'm uncertain of the union rules, but I think so.  I know that for attendants you can volunteer to take a shift in the break period but not scheduled

I'm not sure, but I think there has to be adequate sleeping accommodations on the flight. Large international flights may have beds but domestic I don't think they do. The regulations require the pilots to have 'uninterrupted' rest periods of 8 hours so it's hard to see that flying/driving in a regular seat would qualify.

Pilots on commercial airlines are required to have 8 hours rest in a 24 hour period. Technically they could give you 1400 to 2200 off then fly a red eye for the 7:00 AM flight. I think the nature of the business is you have to be able to do shift work sometimes. I'm not sure of the regulations for the rest of the crew.

Apparently the 4 crew suffered quite a bit of verbal abuse on the flight. They may have preferred alternate arrangements. Unfortunate as it wasn't really their fault. 

How do you know the police dealt with him in a 'reasonable manner'? How did they respond? What did they say? Did they put their hands on him to provoke his alleged 'slapping'? This reminds me a lot of the training my husband had to receive to deal with difficult customers that would literally threaten to kill him and his family if he didn't do what they wanted. Do police not know how to do that any more? How do de-escalate a situation or how to deal with belligerent individuals?
 
And it all could have been avoided in the first place - not through the fault of the man - but by the airline.

When I was younger I would have been more likely to go for the money, but it didn't seem to happen as much. Nowadays, as I get older, it doesn't seem worth the hassle.
 
 
 
     Waiting a few hours at the airport would be more tolerable to me than having to come back the next day. I think with the current regulations they would have to offer twice your one way fare for bumping you to a flight 3 hours later. They always start lower in the hope that volunteers will take less than that though. The free tickets work if you know you are going somewhere for sure. Probably worked out better for you.

He will last 4 years because there's no partisan alternative. Either party would put Beelzebub in the oval office for a chance at 4 years of, uh , whatever it is they do in Washington nowadays. When you sell your soul to the devil, you can't let go easily.
