If there's no rule to return it to Ontario, perhaps run it through the dishwasher and then mount it on your wall at home.

pulll up the site for car importation
i know it has to satisfy US emssion standards
as for furniture we took a load into Canada when steph moved up to Btantford
no one at border even checked it but i would prepare the load so the CBP can easily look thru it to check inside without unloading it
anyone with Canadian passport can drive it thru
make sure all paperwork for Uhaul and his towing vehicle is in his name / NY is sticky when it comes to insurance and tiltles and registeration

Is the car owned outright or financed? If it's financed, you need permission from the lender to permanently import it into the USA.
You need a letter from the manufacturer stating it meets US requirements for import. You need form HS-7 and an EPA form. You will need your bill of sale.
If someone is driving a UHaul for you, you will have to just explain that to customs when you activate your visa and import your vehicle. Your friend will enter as a visitor. You'll need the list of contents in the UHaul and the rental paperwork from UHaul.

Hi, i had my second interview 2 weeks ago in montreal. the officer kept my passport along with other documents and said i will get a decision in two days and will get my passport in 3 weeks. next morning i received an email asking about my study information, which i did 7 years ago in US. i already provided the information right away. but till today there is no change in the ceac. when can i send an inquiry to the embassy regarding my status?

No. No one has any idea. And how would we? You haven't filled out a timeline for people to even know which embassy you're talking about.
