it’s 48 days for me and i’m still waiting. there is a report under immigration timelines, if you run that and sort by noa2 ( you can also filter by country ) , that will give you an idea. it is about 2 months. our next big day is aug 2. this is just my observation… if your case is “at NVC” before the day shown on NVC processing time, then your case has a very good chance to go to “In Transit” the next shipping week. i think we have a pretty good probability for Aug 2. good luck
yes, the waiting is getting harder as we get closer!

My fiancee arrived on ESTA about 2 weeks ago for a 2-month visit.  We got our NOA2 like a week before she flew.  When asked about her plans in the US, she said she was visiting some friends from college and spending the holidays with her fiance and his family.  We expected more questions but that was all.  POE was at Dulles.

A reasonable summary is that most visit without issue.

Yes. Quite depressing. Still remember when I first came to VJ and my approval estimation was in November.

I'm mostly keeping a close eye on Japan's border policies because it seems like they'll probably open up before my visa moves past "Received", so if they do then I will likely fly over there so we can spend time together while we wait. Would also be ideal to help with packing/preparation and such.

Probably a very unpopular opinion, but we have no idea what goes on in the USCIS. At the end of the day, for them this is just a job that they may have been doing for years. From a realistic point of view, do you think you could continuously work with urgency and the weight of thousands of people waiting and applications that never end? Like, never end. They are not doctors savings lives, they are just normal people. And I imagine that they need to subscribe to the mindset that people filing just need to wait. I totally understand that it's hard and I definitely have my days, even weeks of wasting too much time and spinning down the rabbit hole of internet searching desperately looking for an answer that does not exist. The most important thing is that people are getting approved, they are receiving visas, and they are entering the US. I'm by no means defending USCIS, but I think perspective is important during these next few weeks/months or you're going to stress yourself out more than necessary. I think venting and complaining is important. But to the best of our ability, let's be patient, celebrate each other, and stay positive. You've made it this far already!

@Saivarshini I assuming thats why? Because my NOA1 of April 5 is clearly past the processing date on their page... If I was inside processing times, I wouldn't have been able to submit an inquiry lol

You are definitely not alone!! Yes, he lives in Tokyo too. That's so cool! I was also living there for awhile and recently moved back home.

Even though they have started March filers, the number of working days this month is shorter because they will have their holiday break. This pushes most of March to be approved in January. Leaving us, February, maybe even March. But we are on the earlier end so once they get towards the end of March, we can anticipate it to be soon for us.

Aww, so nice that you posted a photo! I am also an April 5 NOA1 filer! Very unfortunately, I don't expect that we will get a reply about our application until mid or late February.

As for your other questions, I am really not sure. However, I imagine that talking to a lawyer would not speed it up. I think talking to your state's congressperson is the best you can do.

I also sent an inquiry. So we just need to wait, stay busy, and hope for the best when our time comes. I'm really getting the understanding that undertaking this (applying for a visa for someone to live in the US) is a long and challenging process. A lot of people get depressed or compare their timeline to others who sporadically get approved, etc. More seasoned individuals who have gone through this seem to understand better that it's a waiting game, so just take it easy and wait. At least, that's the philosophy I am taking since we really don't have any control over it. While the USCIS is moving SLOWLY, the important thing is that cases are being processed, so I chose to celebrate that fact and wait for my time. But, I do have my days too.

As of Sunday when the chart was last run:
    104 approvals (all very sporadic)
    21 RFEs
    3373 still waiting

I’ll run it again this coming Sunday
