I just checked mine out of curiosity and the N-400 is gone, I-751 still there but it is stuck on "Card was mailed" so maybe still considered active. I already got the physical mail with the oath date, so less of an issue but it seems to be a glitch for more people, hopefully soon fixed.

If you followed normal filing timeline and filed your ROC around January 2023, with the 48 months extension your green card should be valid until 2027 which is more than enough time for your naturalization to be processed.

Just used the fee calculator and if you input I-765 on c9 category for adjustment of status it still says it's free, so there's some confusion there for sure.

On the I-765 page it says $260 if you have adjustment of status ongoing.

@Iza414 For the travel document, $630. It's a hard fee to swallow but it is harder to be stuck in the US with no certainty when travel will be possible again, so think carefully about this one - make sure you know the processing times for your local office and take that into account. My local office usually take 6-8 months for an interview, that could be doable without AP but if it was 12-18 months I might reconsider it.

Yes, you will receive a form with one box checked. It can be approved, couldn't be approved or need to retake the test etc.

@Anto_JE I filed online and focused on financial commingling: shared bank accounts, insurances, retirement accounts, property/leases, utilities in both names. I also added 10 photos from ROC submission to present as additional evidence.

@ambyuk I interviewed on April 11 and most people get a date within a month, I know @samdog did for example. I requested more time for the oath and have now been scheduled for mid June.

Scheduled oath for June 14, which is a special ceremony at the St Louis Arch 🎉

I requested that my oath to be scheduled mid to late June if possible due to surgery and the officer did put me in the right pile for it, extremely thankful for that. I will be recovered and got a nice special ceremony. The end is near everyone!

No. You can apply for naturalization while ROC is processing and those two will run in parallel. Make sure you have all the documentatuon for these attempts at filing ROC since it seems like there were at least 3 filings (or attempts to file) because that can make your approval more difficult.

Most people have N400 and I751 adjudicated together at the citizenship interview or in short sequence around that time.

Please fill your timeline so you can get more accurate responses.

That probably means they you to send up to date marriage bonafides for you to be approved since your current file is now 3 years in the past. Lots of cases get approved with no interview after replying to an RFE in these circumstances.

My ROC has been transfered to the local office and the N-400 is now actively being reviewed. Considering how these combo interviews usualy go, I think the officer that did my interview was just being nice when he gave me the full approval on the spot instead of "can't decide today because I need the ROC first". I'll take it!

I will keep the approval notices which amounts to...4-5 pages? But that's all, everything else if I ever need it I already have scans (AOS, ROC, N-400) and there's always FOIA.

I asked to have the oath late June due to surgery and hope that it doesn't create too many problems. I rationally know the online status doesn't mean much but it's still on Interview was Scheduled grrr. I do have an approval on hands so I know it will be fine.

It says you are ineligible because your application is incomplete. I wouldn't hold my breath on it and move forward with a new one, another vote for spousal visa

The time provided on your online USCIS account is not reliable. The numbers go up and down without any reason, guide yourself by the processing times provided at

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

This is an average of all processes and also gives you a date where your process will be out of regular processing time, which is when you can start taking action. Hopefully your case won't get to that point though, regardless do not take the online account number as indicative of anything.

I am still waiting on online status change but I have a feeling I won't get the oath until much later...

Approved this morning, had my spouse with me at first for the ROC part. A couple of basic questions of when we started dating, marriage, honeymoon. Then the officer asked for him to leave and started to ask the civics questions, read and write. After that we went through the yes/no questions, confirmed my information and I got the N-652 with approval.

Waiting for status to change and oath scheduling now!

All pages, your scanner most likely allows you to pick the file type and PDF might be preferable. Maybe if the file is too big, lower the resolution of the scan.

I did quarterly statements, so 4 per year.

You're trying to find a rational explanation for a USCIS process. That way lies madness, I'd just file the RFE and be happy it's done

Does it really matter? Will there be an answer that will satisfy you? Every time you interact with immigration, including CBP they take your biometrics, as an immigrant you don't get a lot of say of when and how your image and fingerprints are going to be used. Since your at the end of your journey, with a couple a weeks until the end, just focus on the light at the end of the tunnel and let the rest fall away. You're done!

Things that trigger RFE the most:

- Partial information (sending one or few pages of bank statements / other documents instead of full document)

- Missing evidence (no financial comingling evidence or no lease information etc)

- Not covering entire period of time. I-751 asks for evidence from start of marriage until I-751 was filed. Plus anything new since you filed I-751 because you got RFE now.

Another less stressful explanation is that they need you to send updated evidence from date of filing until now, it's been a year or so. I'd take that as sign that the I-751 could be approved soon after they receive the RFE.

Ok, this is a great thing to learn when dealing with immigration: answer what was asked. Don't say anything extra. It will make things straightforward.

This is advice you pick up by hanging around forums and people sharing their experiences, so find the AOS monthly thread for your process and read the posts. I'm mentioning this because I stated some examples of standard questions you might be asked and you replied with both families backgrounds and issues. The answer to "have you met family?" is yes/no if yes, when. Nothing else is needed and might save you extra questioning for volunteering information.

The more financial mingling the better, photos and affidavits are secondary evidence. Treat it as a job interview where you need to put your best foot forward. The immigration officer doesn't care about your love language and anxiety, they care if you got married to get a green card or not - this is very matter of fact what is being probbed in the AOS process. Not really, interviews are part of the immigration process. Understand the forms your filling, have a conversation with your spouse about the answers you both have for basic questions like where did you meet, habe you met family, names and dates for important things etc.

You don't have to worry if your relationship is genuine. After AOS you will have ROC and possibly naturalization if desired. Get comfortable with immigration forms, norms and procedures. You can't let anxiety ruin a straight forward process, even if it's stress inducing and infuriating as times.
