  1. So following on from my post earlier in the week about receiving notification from USCIS, it came through today and have biometrics scheduled for November 7th.

The issue is I am due to head off to Australia next week as I have a conference over next weekend.

My question is does have anyone have experience with rescheduling a biometrics appointment? And if I was to do so is it hard to get a new appointment within a close timeframe?

Who gets to be the arbiter of what is and isn't a "legitimate reason"?

Definitely not an open online forum.

You will NEVER prevent a bad PERSON from getting a gun.......if that person wants one.  The next logical step is to  allow others to defend themselves or children from that bad person with a gun.

Make them harder to access and you can prevent a bad person getting a gun.

from your other post u have moved and not yet notified USCIS   green card could have gone to wrong address and they do not forward it

look up form AR 11 ,  fill it out and send it in with a letter asking about the green card

My wife’s parents still live at that address but hasn’t yet been received.

  4. My CR1 was approved at the beginning of November 2021 and I entered the US later that month (paid the fees) for a week before returning to the UK to complete my work contract. I then entered the US permanently at the beginning of April and now it's May and almost 6 months later I am still waiting for the physical green card to arrive? Is it normal to take this long?

    Thanks

  5. Entered the US on 20th November 2021 on a CR1, I ticked the box to receive a SSN on the DS-260. I am back in the UK at the moment finishing off work commitments before returning to the US permanently, however my SSN still hasn't arrived at the address I put down.

What are the current timeframes like on waiting for a SSN? Is 2 months normal these days?

Hi guys, jumping on on this. I received my visa back in November and this post reminded me to pay my immigration fee, when I try and enter my case ID and Alien Registration Number it comes up saying they could not find my a match.

Any ways to sort this out?

Ignore this comment, fixed the issue.

  8. I had my CR-1 approved yesterday at the London Embassy.

My wife and I were married on November 3rd 2020, we were both present together in the UK however married online through Virginia state. We applied for a marriage license and had a pastor who was registered in the state of Virginia perform the wedding. Application sent December 5th 2020 and then approved November 4th 2021 so 11 months all together.

Granted myself and my wife were present together when married it was still online, so hopefully encouraging news for those who have done it through Utah (which seems popular) and have consummated the marriage.

  9. Bit of a random question, but I am just wondering when you go for an interview do they ask you for the photos you are required to bring or just take new ones of you there?

For the medical it asks to bring 4 passport photos, however on the day they didn't ask for them and just took a picture of me on the day.

Reason I ask is I am meant to do Movember and grow a moustache for charity, but my wife doesn't want me to have a moustache on my greencard picture if they take it on the day 😂.

  10. Afternoon all, I have my interview next week and just trying to gather all my documents.

Do we need to take a copy of the affidavit of support along with tax returns/W2's. It says on the Travel.State.Gov website You do not need to bring your Affidavit of Support or financial evidence you submitted to NVC, however reading a few posts on here people have said to take them?
