This is all very true. I applied 2nd Feb and still haven’t got an interview date. Am I sad to still be waiting? Yes. Am I worried something is wrong? No. I feel like I’d know by now if more evidence was needed or there was an issue. They are just taking my application slower than others for some unknown reason that I’ll probably never know. Just have to wait it out. And in the grand scheme of things, the n400 is one of the simpler and quicker processes

Same here. Applied on 1st February. On the plus side, I-751 did get approved a couple of weeks ago.

Seems like the N400 shook something lose. Fingers crossed the interview for it will be scheduled soon.

I'm not expecting to hear something for ROC anytime soon unless my N400 will move along. Filed April 2nd and still no word about biometrics. Guess this last one is testing me 🤣

Does seem like it shook the I-751 loose. Did you not file N-400 online? I got my biometrics waiver like 10 mins after I filed the application!

  3. Hi all - quick update.

Applied for N-400 in early February. A couple of days ago I-751 updated to transferred to a new USCIS office (presumably the field office) from WAC. Update today that case was approved, so no combo interview necessary. N-400 still showing actively being reviewed, so hoping for an interview quite soon given the sudden I-751 movement.

Good luck to all Nov 22 filers with cases still outstanding.

  4. @Cornflake - Likely an error since you’re clearly the petitioner. If it’s any consolation, we’ve heard nothing on biometrics either from WAC. Did file a SR and got the usual canned response - case within normal processing time, blah blah blah.

Other WAC filers have indicated it’s not uncommon to wait up to 6 months or so to hear anything on biometrics, so I wouldn’t fret too much.

What did you get as a response?

Got a canned response - case is still within normal processing time. The prevailing advice seems to be to keep sending them in until you get some action, but we didn’t send another one since we’re out of the country atm and don’t want to force the issue while we’re away.

Hoping that nothing will happen until we get back to the US. Even if we do get a notice while we’re away, it should be possible to call them and reschedule, though, with everything USCIS, that sometimes leads to its own set of problems.

As far as biometrics go, it seems that not only the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing, but the left hand doesn’t even know what the left hand is doing. But what can you do? We just can’t put our entire life on hold for potentially 6 months because of this.

Hello. How did you make SR for biometrics notice? Did you try calling them directly? Did you get any information about biometrics appointment? I got my NOA1 yesterday and need to know how do they take to send it biometrics appointment notice?

You can do it online at https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do;jsessionid=45033C2DE95E17BCFA024766EA0AB243?sroPageType=ndn&entryPoint=init and claim you have not received biometrics notice. Many seem to get a canned response (case is still within normal processing time etc.). But some members report it seems to jog them into some kind of action. Whether this is a coincidence or the request is effective is something of an open question. Probably best not to try this until at least a month after NOA receipt.

if you just received your NOA/extension, you may get notification of appointment or reuse fairly soon, or you may end up in the limbo that many of us find ourselves. Even if you do travel without receiving the notification, you can still reschedule if it arrives when you’re away. Just make sure there’s someone there to receive it and you have a way of calling USCIS while you’re away.

Just received the NOA/Extension. Received Date - 11/09, Notice Date - 11/14. Hoping we're not going to fall into the biometrics black hole. Got some upcoming travel in Jan.

Over a month now since receipt date and no updates in relation to biometrics. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't be bothered, but we have international travel coming up in January.

Does anyone know if the service request strategy still (potentially) works? @Sarge2155 would be grateful if you could weigh in. I know you have experience with this.

Same here ;) The package was delivered on 11/10 and no news since((

Good to see you again. Phoenix seems to be moving fairly quickly at the moment, so hopefully you'll hear something soon.

Hello fellow November filers! We just sent off our petition on Monday morning and it was delivered today (Phoenix Lockbox). Package was just under four pounds and had bank account statements, utility bills, photos, travel itineraries, tax returns, etc. Hope it goes smooth for everyone!

Our application hit the Phoenix lockbox on the same day as yours, so let's compare timelines, at least on initial progress. Good luck.

The kitchen sink is not a bad thing, we threw the kitchen sink at them too!

Thanks for the encouraging words Sarge. I know you're a fellow kitchen-sinker! Your posts have helped us a great deal, especially during AOS. Best of luck with your current application. Hope it all goes well for you.

  10. Hi all

Our window just opened and we filed this morning via FedEx 2nd day to the Phoenix lockbox. Been sweating over this thing for 2 weeks now, so glad to see the back of it.

Pretty much threw the kitchen sink at it. I think it ended up around 8lbs. Probably total overkill, but I guess it won't do any harm.

Best of luck to all the rest of the November filers. Will keep you all updated on our timeline.

  11. Some up to date info - I made a significant transfer UK to US recently using OFX - www.ofx.com.

Excellent rate, easy to set-up, and zero fees (for an idea of the savings over using a bank, Halifax wanted over $1,000 for the transfer with a far worse rate). They have really good 24/7 customer phone support as well. Would highly recommend.

Anyone who received interview notice mail/did conduct the interview recently, please help me if this info that you can't enter the facility if you travel abroad for the last 14 days is still applicable, or they have changed recently.

Still applicable as of last month (February 2021) - here's the relevant part of the interview letter.

my Advance Parole renewal is from October 2020 and started with a IOE receipt number and is still not being processed/approved.

They are all over the place. Some people with IOE numbers have had renewals in 4 weeks. Average seems 4 - 6 weeks. I applied for combo renewal at the beginning of September 2020 and got MSC numbers. Never got approved. Luckily I got GC approval earlier this month. Good luck.
