    Hey everyone,

ive been reading and hearing shared opinions and experiences. Do you guys take your husband/wife to the interview? If so, did the letter say it for you to bring them along? Also, did they go to the interview room/window with you or just was waiting in waiting area just in case?

Thank you! I’ve got my interview this month in Denver so any feedback would be great!

yesterday my husband had his N-400 interview. I attended with him even though the letter didn't say I must attend. we put a request to do a combo interview for the removal of condition, so I just let them know at the check in window, and they let me in. the officer didn't announce it to us but she proceed with it, and at the end she said you are approved for both.

Also I want ask was that NOID from the embassy itself or the USCIS service center?

I don't understand how they can think everyone is a criminal and a liar to these ppl it seems. I try to think positive but its your whole future coming down to 1 or 2 officers. Thats too much power IMO.

mine was coming from USCIS before the I-130 was approved. You have to stay positive it will all work out at the end.

Sent another email to embassy to ask them to please review the case again if possible. The congressional response said in general that the officer recommended it be sent back. The status still says refused in AP as did their previous emails. Administrative Processing 221g.

I think it is still there and I hope so.

When the status changes or I get word that it was sent back I will file a FOIA to get the consular notes and prepare to appeal it. Thats all we got to do.

I already have a lawyer picked out and will consult with him the next 2 weeks.

Atleast this thread helps me talk about it lol.

    Trying to stay positive.

    Thanks for the replies members.

My NOID took 4 weeks to arrive. it was explained in details why they intend to deny and they gave us 30 days to respond, we did and it got approved same day. I know it is very stressful but it's doable, good luck!

hi guys! im back for an update for anyone interested.

I went to my interview yesterday. I got checked in at 720 but didnt get called until 8:25am. I got a very nice officer for my case. She made me feel like it was just any other conversation with a workmate. She placed me under oath and did the civics test first. I got 6 questions correctly and moved to all the yes or no questions. I was so nervous when it comes to the travel part but she only asked me when was my last travel and when i came back and THAT was it. She only counter the days I was out of the country. She didnt ask me anymore about it and just continued updating my file.

I had pending i751 and she said she couldnt approve my n400 without the i751's approval. She said it should only take a day or 2 to finish it.

I was so happy how the interview went but was still nervouse because i didnt get approved on the spot. To my surprise this morning, my n400 status change to Oath will be scheduled!

I guess my stars were aligned yesterday and today and got soooooooo lucky!

I hope everyone goodluck to their journey! 🥳

    @Mike E pls dont eat the crow😅

    Congratulations!

N400 is offered in multiple languages. Visit USCIS page. I'm 100% sure I sent one in Amharic to my friend's wife who never went to school and has since naturalized. That was 2 years ago.

She's since learnt English via YouTube. She can converse now, but not deep. But atleast we can hold a conversation. She came to US in 2018

My mom can't memorize things in her native language.  She never been to school in her life, so she doesn’t know how to write or read!  While she is smart in her cooking and baking and familiar with the area where she grows up, she doesn’t know her date of birth or my date of birth, her address, bank account, and so on. She was going to ESL school here for a year all what she learned is couple letters! She just got hopeless and quit! Trust me it is very difficult.

    There's more to this story.

As much as I sympthaize, lack of education doesn't shy someone away from multiple choice test of which answers have already been provided....for 50 years!!

Those test need no education. All you need to do is memorize. She could have set aside 1 month, 40 years ago and memorized them. It's just like remembering all your addresses, bank information etc. 20/ 100 of those questions need no memorization but current events eg who's the VP, President, your representative, how many US senetors. I'm sure the number of senators hasn't changed from 100, she knows who the president is etc.

Additionally, husband upon naturalization, could have told her how easy it was. Something amiss here

It is not as easy as you think. my mom is younger (59 years old) and can not naturalize because of the same reasons.

Thank you all for your advices.

@powerpuff @JeanneAdil  I am the USC petitioner, my Moroccan wife is the beneficiary. So I should be OK with the USCIS if I let the I-130 get approved and later decide to withdraw the "petition" with the NVC? To do that, should I just write to the NVC that I intend to stop the visa process?

@JeanneAdil @Jorgedig, I don't have anybody lined up for the time being. One at a time.. Same country? I don't think so. I'm originally Moroccan but lived in the US most of my life 28 years+, but I don't recognize women back in Morocco anymore. They're not what they used to be. Nowadays most are all about money, hidden agendas, Instagram ... I was looking for someone with similar cultural background. Screw that!

I might as well find me some nice southern belle with traditional values...

There are a lot of moroccan women with values, you just need to look at the right place and be honest from day 1.

Weird I looked at our letter and can't find anything that says Nebraska. I see the MSC case number which if you look it up online they say that's National Benefits Center. And the address at the bottom is a Missouri one. Where does it say Nebraska for you?

I was thinking exactly same as you, but then last week we received a letter from USCIS that they are waving the biometrics. in that letter it says service center: Nebraska.

You should provide a copy of your copy. You will need a copy of your gc for life.

    good

Send copies of the old cards. The front and back of each card should be on the same sheet of paper with an explanation that the dmv hasn’t sent new cards (in California you never get new cards with a new address, for example)

Thank you. in NY state you can get a new card but you have to pay. I may pay to have it changed.

    1. You should send a copy of the green card

    2. yes.  Are any of kids holding a 2 year gc?

    3. your evidence is lean on joint accounts and joint ownership and there are no copies of drivers licenses  showing the same address, but cases have been approved with less and cases have been RFEed with more.  Nothing you can do about it now.

1- we had to send the green card back because it was wrong, we only have a copy. should we include that?

2- all kids were born in the US.

3- our drivers licence has same adress, but we moved to a new house. we changed it through DMV but we didnt get new cards.

what should we add to make our case stronger? we bought a house last year, but its only in my name because he olny has been here for less than a year at that time.

  11. Good Morning visajourney community,

we are getting ready to file for removing of condition on my husband's green card, I have few questions:

1- we received a green card with wrong expiration date so we had to send it back and file I-90 to have it corrected, so for right now he only has a stamp in his passport. in this case, shoud we send just a copy of his stamp and biography page of his passport?

2- we filled the I-751 form, we listed all our kids including 2 from my previous marriage. is this correct?

3- im including a cover letter with all the documments we are sending which includes:

    • Birth certificate of our son.
    • Copy of our 2020 and 2021 joint US tax return.
    • Copies of our auto insurance policy.
    • Copy of our visa cards statement showing a joint account.
    • Copy of our health insurance cards showing a joint policy.
    • Copy of our Costco's Club cards on a joint account.
    • Copy of electricity bills on my husband’s name showing our home address
    • Copy of water bill on my name showing our home address
    • Copy of statement from the bank showing that my husband was added to my bank account
    • A copy of our airline reservations for a vacation that we have planned in June of 2022.
    • Few pictures of our family gathering

do you guys think this is enough documentations to prove our ongoing marriage relationship?  I appreciate your time and effort.

    Basma.

I beg to differ here 🙂

My Moroccan High School degree was accepted here with no issues and then my Bachelor's Degree (Moroccan Licence Es-Sciences) was also recognized through WES (had to do the equivalency).

I had to submit my WES transcripts as equivalent to the Moroccan degree when I did my MBA.

Moroccan educational degrees are recognized and accepted by US colleges and universities

My high school diploma was accepted as well in addition to my transcript. the college I went to gave me the option to take ESL classes based on my English score, and I had the option to take a higher level English than what I scored in the test. it all worked out well at the end.

Call first since it doesn't matter if i90 is filed today or later. Ask for infopass appointment for passport stamp.

Yes they want the main person with you. If you think you spouse may not be able to communicate well with them, you can tell them he is there with you but he doesn't speak english well and so you will be speaking on his behalf. They will ask one question like "do you allow your spouse to represent you?", all he needs to say is "YES". Then they will talk to you.

Thank you Arken. the officer said will call in an hour and I am planning to meet my husband during the call. hopefully she call during the time she said she will as I am at work and can't take the rest of the day off. do you think there is a chance she will solve the problem during that call and therfore they will send him his card?

Sadly, I suspect you might have to submit another I-90.  I don't think you have to pay the fee.  You could mark the item below:

Thank you. I just received a call from an immigration officer, she didnt want to talk to me because its my husband card. I explained that he is in class now and his english is not that good, she said thats ok and will call his number back when he get out of class. I plan to meet with him during the call so we understand excatly what she say. do you think we should wait for her call first then file the I90?
