  1. It is possible to be approved without an interview but unlikely. Most likely outcome is a combo i751/n400 interview.
  2. Yes, the same thing happened to us, it took three weeks for USCIS to approve both the 751 and n400 after our combo interview. Not sure how long it will take USCIS to make a decision in your case.
  3. Correcting my timeline, my i751 took nearly 26th months, my n400 took nearly 14 months from filing the n400 to the oath ceremony.
  4. Correcting my timeline, my i751 took nearly 26th months, my n400 took nearly 14 months from filing the n400 to the oath ceremony.
  5. My immgration journey is now complete, becoming a US citizen today after nearly 26 months after filing my n400. My oath ceremony was completed today at the event center in Roseville. Arrived at 10 am and we left at 12:45pm. Stood in line for 2 hours before entering the venue and being sworn in with a group of 25 people or so. There were several hundreds of fellow immigrants being sworn in today there and we were all cued up all around the building..
  6. Our immgration journey is now complete, becoming a US citizen today after almost 26 months after filing my n400.
  7. Expired conditional green card plus the extension letter together worked for us for travel from Iran, and Canada into the USA. There is no issue to travel with an unexpired extension letter with the expired green card.
  8. If you are filing under the 3 year rule you should bring your spouse, if you have a pending removal of conditions (i751) along with your n400 case then 100% bring your spouse. If you are filing under the 5 year rule then you don't need to bring your spouse. Under the 3 year rule USCIS may want to speak to your spouse so it is best that they are available.
  9. In our case the i751 was moved to the NBC before we filed the n400, for faster processing. I think normally it takes weeks if they do it at all. Look for an update from USCIS 4 to 8 weeks after filing the i751. Yes it is possible, I have seen it happen here from time to time.
  10. File your i751 package within 90 days of the expiration date of your original green card 2 years after the conditional green card was issued. Your i551 stamps have no bearing on when you file the i751 to remove the conditions on your green card. So you need to file a joint i751 application package the i751 form, bona fide marriage evidence, and the filing fee sometime in October of 2022 or later within 90 days of the expiration date in January 2023 on your original green card. Nothing else changes the filing date required for a joint i751 filing date however, a waiver i751 cases can be filed at any time.
  11. You will fall under the all field offices category to determine your processing time for the National Benefits Center which typically sends i751 to the local field offices for interview. With our i751 case we went to the a combo interview 26 months after filing our joint i751.
  12. We just had the same experience with a N400 interview with a pending i751 at the NBC. We only got notice of the n400 appointment and nothing about the i751 interview, no notice or invitation. I would expect a combo interview. As it happened we made an inquiry about our i751 being out of processing time in Oct 2021, 7 months later the local field office responded indicating they would handle the i751 case at the n400 interview. We got the reply for the inquiry around the same time we got notice of the n400 interview. Take note it took USCIS 3 weeks to approve both the n400 and the i751. The oath ceremony is scheduled for June 29th. Our combo interview was on June 16th in Sacramento.
  13. Yes it is likely to be an issue. You divorce decree likely indicates you were separated months before your joint i751 was approved. You need to find better lawyers, you should have refiled with an i751 waiver application. Any yes you could have filed an i751 waiver or written a letter to USCIS to convert your joint i751 ROC case to a i751 ROC waiver case before the final devorce decree was ready, USCIS would have sent you a RFE request for the divorce decree months after your application or letter. You should consult a good immgration lawyer to look into how to fix the issue. I would not apply for naturalization without consulting a competent immgration lawyer first on how to address the issues in your case. You will likely need to defend to USCIS that your case was approvable anyway and you would have gotten your conditions removed anyway with an i751 waiver application. Sorry this happened to you but you got bad advice on how to handle your ROC waiver case.
  14. No, we got no official i751 interview notice that it was going to be an i751 combo interview just notice of the n400 interview. But in our case we sent a service request in October for our i751 application being outside of processing time for the California service center. USCIS Sacramento office responded just after we got the n400 notice indicating that the i751 case would be adjudicated at the same time as the n400 interview. You should expect a n400/i751 combo interview, that is the most likely thing to happen.
  15. Possibly an issue with entering the USA in the second year. The border agent may suspect you have abandoned your green card if he sees you have been out of the USA so much. I would get the re entry permit to help insure your ability to reenter the USA. They are good for 2 years . You're right about not staying out for more than 180 days on any stay outside of the USA. Otherwise your continuous residency will reset back to 3 or 5 years for naturalization. Your plan is likely to work but you need to document your time in and out of the USA carefully to provide to USCIS when filing your n400.. Keep in mind that international travel is sometimes disrupted so it may be hard to travel to the USA at an opportune time. Good luck
  16. You only need proof of your continued LPR status when doing the following (CGC + extention letter needed) 1) When you travel out of the USA to renter. 2) When you are renewing a drivers license in some states 3) When you start a new job. (Current employers don’t need it for a update to your I-9) 4) Maybe if you start school or apply for some loans. Your LPR status does not expire when your conditional green card expires, only proof of your LPR status expires. If you are not doing one of the activities above you don’t need proof of your LPR status. Only a immgration judge can take your LPR away from you. As long as you have an i751 pending your status remains full legal permanent resident no matter how long your case takes.
  17. Got notice today our oath ceremony is officially scheduled for June 29th.
  18. You don't have a state issued ID like a driver license? You could try to get one. But yes I think your passport would be enough. Bring any other ID like a school ID, Work ID, or state ID if you have any.
  19. Yes, you will need current photo IDs and your passport (with i551 stamp ???) and so on. Bring your receipt notice for the I-90, maybe a police report of the GC loss.
  20. We had a combo interview for both the i751 and n400 at the same appointment on May 16th in Sacramento. You should expect that as well and bring your spouse as they will need to be there. We got no notice that the i751 would happen at the same appointment for the n400 interview. Be prepared to do both interviews together, bring any additional evidence and your spouse needed for each case.
  21. After our combo interview on May 16th in Sacramento for our i751 ROC and n400 cases we got notices of approval for each. We are waiting for the oath ceremony to be scheduled, hoping for June 29th. Not expecting a new 10 year green card due to the pending oath ceremony.
  22. After our combo interview on May 16th in Sacramento for our i751 ROC case we got a notice of approval today. Both our natulzation and our ROC cases have been approved and we are awaiting the oath ceremony to be scheduled. Not expecting a new 10 year green card due to the pending oath ceremony. 18 plus months since the case was moved to the NBC from the California Service Center to get approval and 25 months overall.
  23. After our combo interview on May 16th in Sacramento for our i751 ROC case we got a notice of approval today. Both our naturalization and our ROC cases have been approved and we are awaiting the oath ceremony to be scheduled. Not expecting a new 10 year green card due to the pending oath ceremony. 25 months since filing the i751 to get approval.
