Hi. My fiance's visa was "issued" according to CEAC on February 24, 2021. How many days until she has it in her hand? It will be sent via DHL. The embassy is Nairobi Kenya. See correspondance from the Embassy today in reply to my question on if it would be mailed today.
 
"Thank you for your email.   Please wait for communication from DHL once they have received the visa at their offices."

this is a country specific question but DHL usually does it within a week.

Honestly a few days, you are so close. Turn on the dhl tracking so you can monitor it

It could actually help by showing that the relationship is bonafide. I know of a case where the visa was approved without being asked for paternity. A safeguard is the beneficiary writing a letter to attest that the baby is his, if needed. That should do it.

I just want to give a brief update on our CR1 application. I believe it will be helpful for those who are stuck in DS5535. 
CR1 VISA 
Naturalized U.S citizen wife married with Tunisian husband
PD: September 2019
USCIS Approval : April 2020
NVC case created: April 2020
DQ: JUNE 2020
Interview : August 2020
We had all our documents ready for the interview. Interview was approved but DS5535 was given. He was told by officer that everything looks good but he needs an additional security check. My husband had travel history to Turkey twice. He was told that he will receive an email which will have an attachment of Supplemental Questions form. He was also told that the form will be sent to Washington DC. 
He received an email aproxx in 1hour. He filled out the form and send back to Tunis embassy via email. We got a confirmation that the embassy has received the completed form. After that the wait has started. 
Next day of interview we got a CEAC date updated. Which means that they sent the form to DC. After a month we got another CEAC date update. I (petitioner) sent an email to embassy about the CEAC date update but, I was told that there was no update on our case. After 76 days (weekends included) of the interview we got another CEAC date update. Again, I emailed to the Tunis embassy regarding to our CEAC update and my husband received an email after 2 days stating that his AP and the security check is complete, he can drop off his passport for visa issuance. 
We did not involve congressman in our process. Only communication during the DS5535 process was between us and the embassy.

Hi everyone, I hope you are well. I have been following this thread since September 2018 and thought it is time for me to post here and give you some positive news. 
 
I am Not from a banned country, and been living in the UK since the age of 17. 
 
We have involved our senator and attempted to contact various organisations with no hope. Throughout the AP process there wasn't a single update unless we or the senator inquired. It was only updated twice, once 4 days after my fiancé sent and inquiry (which we didn't know if it was related as it was updated the day he inquired and then 4 days later) and then on February 4th 2020. 
 
Total waiting time: 1 year 5 months
 
Here is our timeline: 
Timeline:
November-23-2017: Application submitted
May-13-2018: Petition approval
June-6-2019: NVC notice
September-13-2018: Interview at the embassy, been given the DS-5535 
September-15-2018: Sent the completed DS-5535 via email
January-16-2020: request of passport
February-4-2020: Email requesting new documents after not a single update throughout the AP
February-13-2020: new medical
February-21-2020: fingerprints and re-oath at the embassy
February- 27-2020: received passport
March-15-2020: Arrived and we are finally living the happily ever after we deserve.

Usually a second medical, sometimes a second interview and then the visa if everything goes well

What happens after DS5535 is approved? Is there always a second interview? How long does it take to approve visa? Etc.... any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Do you know anyone whose ds5535 ap got over in few months?  Need motivation. Esp f4 visa. 
 

There is no set pattern that I could figure out while I was waiting. I am sure the lawyer will say that same. This whole process seems to just an excuse to put people wait randomly.

not be given anymore to visa applicants once Biden is officially in office as the president?

I was worried too. I was following this forum and a lady filed for her husband and she got a positive decision. It encouraged me to do the same. I too had a positive outcome. If you been waiting for over a year for admin processing and money is not a concern Go ahead and file WOM. 

Dec 11,2020 got ds-5535. Returned it same day. 
no response since then. 
Terrified we just hit the black hole. 
Dont know what to do. 
 

Had an Interview on October 20.Given white slip 221g to fill and send DS 5535.On November 30 status changed from immigrant to nonimmigrant.
Today my status changed to Issued.
