  1. Just wanted to let you know that our visa journey is pretty much finished. My wife's visa got approved without any problems, a typical case for the Warsaw embassy - 3 hours of wait, 4 minutes interview. At the end of the interview when my wife was told that her visa got approved, she mentioned that we'll be waiting for the 2nd anniversary to skip the I-751 hassle and CO gave her the green 221(g) form with just passport marked as required and annotation that she should write that she is delivering only her passport approximately one week before the anniversary to get the IR1 visa in the passport instead of CR1. NVC case status check says 'Refused', but I guess that's normal since her passport was returned to her. Our 2nd anniversary is on the 26th of June, and we are aiming at flying to the US together by the end of June/beginning of July, unless I'll find job earlier, so I could be in the US a little earlier. My main concern before the interview was that the latest tax returns both out joint-sponsor and I had was for 2021. My domicile could also be questioned since I permanently live in Poland and only traveled to the US in October last year to get the most basic stuff like voter registration, bank account, credit card, ID renewal, but we were prepared with my signed resignation letter from my employment and email of communication with employers in the US.

  2. @Simplytex @Runner19 my congrats guys! Glad to see that all of us are soon going to be done with all that hustle.

@Simplytex You are quite unlucky, you got appointment date one day after the deadline for tax filing(April 17th), so you might be asked about 2022 taxes. Neither me or my joint-sponsor have filed tax returns for 2022, so I'm glad that we're scheduled 2 weeks before the deadline

  3. I went through the official visa issuance statistics released by DOS on monthly basis, and noticed a clear trend

    December 2022: CR1 + IR1 = 90 visas, 21 DV visas

    November 2022: CR1 + IR1 = 43 visas, 117 DV visas

    October 2022: CR1 + IR1 = 43 visas, 111 DV visas

    September 2022: CR1 + IR1 = 16 visas, 445 DV visas

    August 2022: CR1 + IR1 = 16 visas, 527 DV visas

    July 2022: CR1 + IR1 = 18 visas, 314 DV visas

There is no data for the January yet, but I'm down to believe that there could be 100+ spouse category visas issued. They clearly switched the focus from DV visas and are much more capable of scheduling many family based visas interviews.

Yes, it would be very interesting to hear of the outcome.

Many expedites were filed for Russian beneficiaries in 2022 for the same reason (tensions, war), but I don't know of any that succeeded.

I actually got the response for my expedite request, and that's a no. I don't know the exact refusal reason but I guess it's not good enough to have the case expedited. I knew it was a long shot, so no bad feelings, I might actually get that FICO score by the time I will normally have to wait for our interview, so there's a bright side of this outcome

More weirdness with our cases. This morning we got another email about our interviews being canceled(nothing was scheduled), now the Almaty case numbers stopped working in CEAC. That's how it started 2 weeks ago when they transferred us to KZ. It looks like they are transferring our cases again somewhere.

Maybe they are transferring you back to the Warsaw embassy

  6. Anyone knows if the interview letters are sent only once a month, so for Warsaw the next chance to get one would be 19th of February since the last confirmed here IL was sent on Jan 19? I'm DQ'd since Jan 21 and trying to figure out any estimation for my wife's interview.

@Simplytex if your case won't be automatically transferred to some other embassy, then I guess you will be my reference point.

We were DQ'd this morning! Email from NVC regarding scheduling of the interview (not a date, just what that they are going to be contacting our consulate) recieved as well.

The i-864 and proof of US citizenship for the joint sponsor section shows "submitted" while everything else shows accepted.

But with the emails and the DOCUMENTARILY QUALIFIED notification on CEAC, I'd say we are OK.

Great news for everyone here, really. We were DQ'd in less than 40 days!

Good luck to you all! ☺️

Congrats :) As for the 'Submitted' part, no worries, it's a common error in the last two weeks. What is your last date of submission? I mean for the required document, not the optional

    Hi everyone,

    I just discovered this thread. Here is my case;

I got DQed email on the 21st of December but 2 of my joint sponsor document status is still showing submitted. WHat do you think I should do? Still wait or send them an email?

    image.png.493db6cefdbeccdcb90522867d3428b7.png

It's a copy paste my situation, also all documents accepted except for the first two of the required for the joint sponsor. Didn't get DQed, but the FE review note didn't say anything about those documents that are still at 'Submitted', so it's 99% a bug and you shouldn't worry about it. There were many issues with the website recently, it's probably the next one.

OK, I don't understand why YOU, the foreign immigrant would be completing the affidavit of support that would be about and signed by the US Citizen petitioner, but instead of being "pretty sure" about entering zero as their current income, BE SURE by inspecting a copy of what was submitted.  If it DOES say zero, then the petitioner should upload a signed statement indicating they have no income.  If it doesn't say zero, the the petitioner should complete, sign and upload, a corrected affidavit of support AND a separate signed statement indicating they have zero income, just to be safe.

If you are NOT sure the original submission was correct, the petitioner should replace it with on that is.

The second message is not a request for anything.  If your joint sponsor is well qualified, just ignore it.

I actually made a mistake in that original post, I wrote my instead of mine. I'm the petitioner, not the immigrant

Please post the exact text of the message minus any personal identifying information.  Much better for us to interpret the message itself rather than to interpret your interpretation.

Msg 1: Please submit {Petitioner's} Evidence of Income. For more information, visit https://nvc.state.gov/fin.

Msg 2: This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.

Hi, I’m also in a similar situation. I don’t have an income and therefore I didn’t file taxes as I was a full time student financially dependent on my parents. When you submitted your documents, what did you select under the federal income tax return tab? Did you select document not available? Because next to mine it says missing and I’m unsure what to upload. My father is my household member who’s helping me meet the minimum income requirement for my husbands sponsorship. I uploaded a statement and documentation of my degree proving that I was a full time student and not earning. It says approved next to those documents, but says missing next to my Fed Inclme Tax Return. Appreciate any help!

If you were not obligated to file tax return because e.g. you didn't earn enough(around $12000), then you write a statement that you were not obligated to file for the last 3 years this condition applies. I was filling all previous three years, except for 2019 where I didn't earn enough to file and that's what I did, I wrote a statement and uploaded it under 'Explanation for not filing taxes' category. As for the evidence of income RFE that I got - I sent them a statement that I don't have evidence to provide since all my income is from outside the US and I'm not using it to sponsor my spouse. Additonally, in the same pdf, I added the most recent invoice for my services, plus a bank transfer confirmation that covers that invoice. Of course I emphasized, that it's not being used to sponsor my wife, not to confuse them too much. I hope I cleared the situation a little bit for you.

I finally got an update from NVC regarding my I-864.

They have requested I resubmit the form and this time change Part 8, section 6.B (the date) to a handwritten date. Despite the i-864 PDF making you select the date from a dropdown menu.

    NVC good job. Very professional.

Original submission was on 11 November.

And from me they want a statement that I don't have income, even though I did write it's 0 in the current income field, sigh...

  13. Hi everyone,

So, after 12 days my ceac account has updated, at least in most of the part. I got two FE review messages, one says that the case does not meet the minimum income requirement, the second asks for my(petitioner) proof of income, even though I'm pretty sure I wrote that it's 0 when completing the I-864 form. I've read some topics on the forum and I was thinking that I will probably need to upload a written statement under proof of current or self-employment category, that my income is completely foreign-based, so I don't have any proof of income to provide, is there anything else I can do?

The other problem is that all but two of my joint-sponsor's documents say Accepted. The first is her's I-864 form and the other is proof of US citizenship. Every other document says accepted, there is also no message about them from after the review, so I don't know if this is because of CEAC website issues or for some other reason. I was convinced that there should be no documents with 'Submitted' status after the review.
