Bink reacted to JeanneAdil in Breakup... Days before K-1 Interview. What should I do?
If this is me-  I would do nothing fast
The USC could change the mind again and then have to start the process all over again if you wrote and cancelled interview yourself
but i would think long and hard if i really wanted to be with this person
you don't need to come here with no family,  no friends and be left alone some time in the future
its heartbreaking,  i know ,  and so sorry this happened to you

but if this is over one little argument,  give it a few days and see what happens

Did your status changed from "at nvc" to "ready" directly? Or it passed through "in transit"?

For those interested in adding your names to the lawsuit, you can Google about Milligan v Pompeo round 3 to find that information from the attorney site. The deadline to join is February 15th.  We are here to share information and make people aware of such option, not attempting to sell or advertise for a service.

It's worth mentioning that there were discussions about including unmarried couples for exception to the travel ban I believe two separate times during the white house briefings. But they only said they will look into that option.

Finally   NOA2 December 29th!  After my last post I had just sort of given up on obsessing over it, checking the website&app at least twice a day, I just figured I would worry about it later in January.   I was driving home from work tonight, on the phone with him and he asked me what it meant when the website said "Approved".  I'm so happy, and so so relieved.

*(Yes, he knew what approved meant, he was just being a giant adorable butt  )  I hope this next part doesn't take 274 days!

Join us in the DECEMBER 2020 K-1 NOA2 to NVC to EMBASSY thread and download the PDF file on the first post of the first page for tips, tricks and hacks to follow your case to the embassy. I'll post both links below:

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

I know it's pointless to complain and all that, but this does peeve me a bit. Almost zero transparency in this process, and we have to put our lives on hold indefinitely because of it. Even after submitting an inquiry and waiting two weeks for a response the best we can get is one criminally short sentence to the effect of 'it will get done when it gets done'.

Yes, patience patience patience, but it sure would be nice if the system could be improved a little bit. Would be nice if the mere idea of improvement weren't absurd to the point of being unthinkable. What if we could get one simple, small detail about our cases? Rather than 'done when it's done', what if we could hear 'it's still in the filing cabinet' or 'it's awaiting results of background check'? Oh I know I shouldn't even write such things but it's nice to dream I guess.

Edit: Feel bad for wasting space on this thread, so I did work through some of the case numbers to try to gauge progress. It's quite time-consuming so I only did a limited assessment , but those of you in the 2090091000-to-2090092000 range might be interested to know that the number of Unchecked petitions is down to about 88 from the 140 posted on the 7th by Olga88. I see approvals up to 80 from 52 as well. So about 50` petitions in this group had some action in the last ten days, if I'm looking at things correctly.

Note: the USCIS Case Tracker app lets you set a range of WAC# before and after yours to see the status of those cases. Very slick tool to ascertain where you are in the processing timeline of USCIS compared to others. Use the first one in Android for best results.

USCIS updated their timeline for the California Processing Center (unsure of the others) to reflect March 2020. It's no longer April 2020. This is the new reflection of the newly announced 6.5 to 8 months processing instead of the 5 to 7-month processing. So it seems this is actually more in line with the data provided by VJ. They are still processing March 2020 applications.

I'm sure some will say, "well, at least they are working on it!". However, in my opinion, it's disheartening. Logic: A good number of people tend to take vacation time in December. Before, COVID offices would be almost a ghost town. I believe this will cause a more significant slow down on processing. I think it would be realistic to prepare (read: preparation for a sanity check) for a January 2021 approval. January 2021 is speculative and hopeful. Personally, I'm bracing for a February 2021 approval.

I am feeling the same way (as I know so many others are) with the K1s not being processed. The unknown of when there will be any light at the end of the tunnel makes it the most difficult.

We received our NOA2 in March and were more hopeful back then but as the months go by, I am looking into getting married in my fiance's county, Ireland. My thought is that we could marry there and live there and then apply for the spousal visa, knowing the process would take a while but at least we'd be together over there while waiting.

I would hope that doing this would only strengthen our spousal visa in the future & have no negative impact.

Wishing everyone the best and hoping we can all be with our loved ones soon.

My date is April 2nd too! I was planning on submitting my inquiry as soon as the "receipt date for a case inquiry" marks April 3rd. Is that an acceptable move to make? Would that annoy the CSC agents? Should I wait a few more weeks to submit an out of normal processing time inquiry?
I just imagine Covid19 is making things function differently. It's hard to get backlog information.

It's nearing the 7th month from our NOA1 and still no NOA2. I'm starting to worry. Is this normal? USCIS states the pandemic didn't affect anything and the site says March 25 applicants can ask for a case inquiry.

How are you people holding up?
