Congrats!! 🎉🎊🍾
We are so happy too 💃 😊 Also the interview schedule for July 17 at the US embassy in Serbia 🇷🇸 finally!!!!! Oooooooo yeaaah!! 😍
Good luck!!! 🍀
It’s so strange because I just checked Serbia’s website and they said routine visa services are still suspended. I wonder why they don’t update their page?

Thank you Nenz.i
(i'm sorry for the forum, I don't know how to do multiple replies in the same message...)
France was pretty much impacted by the Covid, so if our Country has its US Embassy reopening, it is a good sign for most of us.
Take care,
Alix
Did they post anything on the us embassy website in Paris regarding visa interviews / reopening?

Congratulations !
In our case, eventhough, our file was still "at NVC" on NVC's website this morning...
I have just received the interview email !!! 👍 It is set for July 22nd in the morning.
I am very happy (of course) and anormally calm about it (I think I have not processed the news).
😋
Wooohooo!! I’m so excited for you!!! I’ve been following your journey through the way. Hopefully things start looking up for all of us.

I find something so crazy..the clubs in Greece opened today - yet, the embassy hasn't opened yet..HOW IS THIS LOGICAL?!!?!?

I believe an approved expedite will put you in the front of the line for an interview once they resume visa services, but if you are granted an emergency interview it will happen while visa services are still suspended.
Ohhhhh I see. Okay thank you so much for your response!

I have a question and sorry if it’s a stupid one. If you get accepted for an expedite from the embassy, what does that exactly mean? You will be scheduled an interview first after the embassy opens?

Have you tried this page?
https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Greece&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=
Thank you so much, but I already tried it and no one ever posts in it ☹️☹️☹️ The last post was from sept 2019. Im assuming since Greece isn’t too big it’s not too popular with visa applications??? Just a guess lol but thank you so much for your help.

If you read the article it states that many embassies are already open and some are already in phase 2 of reopening so no its clearly not tied in to thw executive order. Just because one embassy is opening on that date doesn't mean everyone is following that timeline.
What is interesting to me with that article is that a large amount of consulates are open in phase 1 and not one has started interviews again so it seems like a phase 2 or 3 activity.
How do you know which embassies are in phase 1, phase 2, etc? I can’t find the website

So I heard back from NVC about my second expedite request. Turns out they keep track and won’t even send your second request to the embassy for them to answer.
Usually you get two emails:1. Saying they sent your request to the embassy for them to review.
2. Email is either a yes or no.
Today I got the first (and only) email from the NVC sayin that I already had previously requested an expedite and the embassy had already said no and blah blah blah (I stopped reading after I saw what it was about).
So apparently requesting a second expedite doesn’t work since NVC won’t even forward it to the embassy.
The only positive thing I got out of the email is that it says “If” something we’re to change that’s different from my previous request then I could ask again. I guess I’d have to fall in a coma or become extremely ill for it to be considered lol.
anyways, sorry I couldn’t bring better news but I figured it help anybody hoping to try a second expedite.
How long did it take you to hear back for an Answer on an expedite? I only got the NVC email last week telling me they will forward my email to the embassy.

Does anyone know where I can find a Greece interview page for people who are waiting to go for an interview?

So Should we Mention that the taxes are pending ITIN for 2019 on part 11: Additional Information of the i864 or anywhere else?
I didn’t, I just stated it on the portal with a document explaining I didn’t have it yet because of everything going on.

"Should we 1) Mention that the taxes are pending ITIN on part 11: Additional Information of the i864, or just attach the 2019 tax form/W2 and move on?
Also 2) should we attach w2 from previous years (I know previous years are optional!) With the previous year tax transcripts or just the tax transcripts enough?
Thanks in advance for all you do!"
I uploaded my mother’s tax transcript from 2016, 2017, and 2018. Followed by w2 for 2019 and w2 for 2018. For 2019 tax transcript I wrote an explanation letter stating that due to Covid 19 we were unable to retrieve that.

Thanks for the info, very helpful. But I still don’t understand how USCIS can open here in America when we have the highest number of cases yet other countries who have way less have to go thru a Phase period. 🧐🤔
Agreed 🙄🙄

Did you receive an interview date?
-

Yes, we received an email that said they are willing to expedite and that it's sent to the embassy.
We also received an email from the embassy already with an interview date
That is awesome. Did NVC send you an email saying they are reviewing your expedite?
Also, When is your interview date if you don’t mind me asking?

Hey everyone I thought I’d let you know what the woman from NVC told me on the phone today. She was actually the nicest lady ever and I thanked her for her kindness because it was very informational and she took the time to explain the situation to me without getting annoyed despite me asking a few questions. She basically told me that there are currently SOME embassies that are offering interviews in different countries (I didn’t ask specifically which ones because I didn’t want to over do it) and that each embassy will open up based on when they feel it is safe for the people in that specific office to go into work and when the people who are coming into the offices are safe (so if someone in a country is traveling a while to go to the embassy, their health won’t be affected). She specifically told me that it won’t be the “US embassies re opening” altogether and that each one will decide when.

I’m actually curious. Has anyone on here received any interview letter from NVC/embassies?

Hey guys I just wanted to let you know I got DQ’ed this morning. First submission was April 7. I uploaded more on April 17th. Then I completely forgot my mothers w2 from 2018 so I uploaded that on May 14. I got an RFE on May 22 and dq’ed today. Don’t lose hope people. I know my wait was shorter than others and this whole process is frustrating but hang in there the DQ will come at some point!!!

Hey guys,
So I check daily on google to see if there is any information about when embassies are opening up. I found this website which I think will be updated when they figure out which embassies will be opening. Not sure if it helps so much but it lists 3 so far that are opening.

Case Complete to Interview July 2020
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

Can someone tell me what happens after your case is accepted for expedite? We are interviewing in Greece but essentially does your case go to the front of the line? Does the embassy contact your directly? Us embassy in Greece tells me they haven’t received our case yet from NVC. NVC has told me that they will forward our case to the embassy but once they resume normal visa operations. I’m just a bit confused.
