Dear VJ family, I want to share the happy news with you guys!!!
 
After 700+ days from filling the paper work to til date, I finally received my passport with visa today!! yeaaaaaa.
(I didn't receive any sealed envelope or package, maybe because my medical was submitted online)
 
This site truly helped me a lot...I was able to research and find so much information on this site and I appreciate it. 
 

Finally got an interview date in Tokyo. Aug 17. DQ'd May 20.

I am sorry. Probably now they can proceed only spouses interviews. But I am sure they will resume all types soon 🙏🏼

I woke up this morning to the news that our expedite was approved!! I'm so happy!!
 
We already had a conditional expedite accepted on March 31st, stating that it would be sent to my Embassy (London) once they resume normal visa services. 
Because our reason for expedite was partly time sensitive, we decided to chance it and submit another expedite request last Monday, fully expecting them to refuse it. We noted in our email that we already had a conditional expedite but were requesting it be escalated to unconditional. We also added in why we felt me being expedited was in the national interest which I personally think is something they take very heavily into consideration and is what tipped them to accept it in our case.
 
If anyone has questions I'm happy to answer.
I hope this helps some people and gives hope to those who are considering submitting another request. I know not all Embassies will reconsider it, but it might be worth a shot.💙

DQ June 1st.

Hi. I wrote them on ConsulMO@state.gov on 24.06 and got the robotic answer about not able to provide the specific date of resuming services. I want to write them again tomorrow.

We have an interview July 21st in Stockholm! Medical is scheduled for the day after. Our case was randomly expedited (we didn't request it, but I think they wanted to start scheduling interviews) so now we need to update whatever paperwork we can before we head to Stockholm. 
Started this process in August 2018! And today is our 3rd anniversary 🥂

Did you already realize that they’re reopening just for students? Yes I was happpy and excited too but no anymore. My friend called US embassy in Warsaw, Poland today, woman was extremely grumpy and she said that k1 is under the proclamation from March ( this about travel ban). She even said it might not be processed till end of the year (does she know how long the ban will be on?). The thing I’m trying to say is don’t get too excited. Most of embassies is only reopening for students. Sorry for negativity but after 4 months of being positive I am done
anyways I’m very happy for New Zealand as far as I see they’re reopening for everyone.
but embassies in banned countries can only dream about that

Hi all! We received our interview letter! DQ May 11, interview August 4th in Amsterdam 🥰

Our interview notice was received today! 
 
Aug 25 interview. Amsterdam consulate. DQ'd in last week of May.
 
 

We just got our expedite approved. Hoping to hear soon about getting an interview sorted!

I got a call from the embassy today for my interview by the end of the month ! Finally after two years of waiting. Good luck for everyone and keep your hopes up ♥️

We got our interview date - July 24 Ankara, Turkey ! 
 
One question, we will bring some evidence of our relationship (photos, albums, etc). Will we get that evidence back or do they keep it?

So sorry. We also sent request to expedite our cases for same reason. Girls need continue their school programs. But didn’t have response yet. We sent 1th of July.
