Hello!
We just got expedited at the NVC stage on Friday, May 29th.
On the status site it says that out case is in transit. Hopefully it will arrive soon at the embassy and we'll get a interview quickly.
Good luck to everyone!
Good for you! Would you mind sharing the reason to expedite?

This gives me a bit of hope. My 2nd submission was on 4/23/20 . I am hoping to hear something soon because this wait seems so painful than the virus . I am stuck at a job that I don't like and I need that silver lining. Do you mind sharing what consulate you are applying at?
Mumbai Consulate, India. Embassies opening up for visa services seems like a distant dream now, can only hope that it happens in the next month or two. Hang in there, these times shall pass too. Good luck.

According to NVC's statement to HKS you're lying j/k - congratulations! Happy for ya!
I honestly couldn't believe my own eyes reading the DQ email, even called NVC to confirm...LOL! Hope you all get DQ'd soon and move onto the next step of this journey.

They also stated that the ppl telling me that they were getting reviewed before me are lying. Lol guess a lot of ppl on VJ are lying including the screen shots of their documents.
Got DQ'd this afternoon! Something to cheer about during these times 😊 This was our 2nd submission (submit date: 4/17/20). NVC seems to be processing cases faster than before and hope they stick with this consistency. Good luck to everyone here.

Hi, it can be one of those. we used my husband’s driver license. We uploaded it under additional documents because they didn’t asked for it on the AOS documents. We did it just in case.
Thanks for your quick reply! Will do the same.

Yeah, indeed.
I just completed the Ds-260, and uploaded AOS documents ( they only asked for form I-864, and federal tax..which we used 2019 tax return..the whole thing. I uploaded a bunch of things anyways.. proof of us citizenship, proof of domicile, proof of self employed, 2018, 2017 tax transcript) and civil documents.
🎉🎉🎉
I'm the petitioner/sponsor, residing in the US and have submitted tax transcripts for last 3 years and paystubs as proof of current employment, do I still need to upload any document as proof of domicile? If so, what document can I provide (driver license, utility bills?) Appreciate any suggestion.

I realize most embassies are closed.
Stay safe everyone 🙏💙
I believe they were open but closed early at 4pm due to inclement weather. Their phone line had a recorded message stating they would be back in office tomorrow at 8am. Let's hope they stay open and process cases!

It's our 2 year anniversary and we got DQ today! Submitted February 3rd!
Congratulations!! And appreciate you sharing. It's interesting to know that NVC does process submissions much farther than the date they post online. Gives that glimpse of hope for earlier review! Is this normal with NVC?

Sorry MRamak, I have no answer for that. Hope someone else on the forum knows more about it.
Thanks Alix64. Quick update...after a couple of calls to NVC, was told from a courteous lady that NVC now accepts these uploads provided document is clearly readable and no corners are cut out. Keeping my fingers crossed...😐

Could someone please help with this?
Appreciate your feedback regarding a 1099 document that I uploaded as part of additional AOS as a petitioner and this upload is tilted left. Considering that all other documents were uploaded fine and this one being an additional AOS, would NVC reject this and need a fresh upload? I did call NVC and was advised that NVC has not been rejecting such documents since last few months but it boils down to the document reviewer. Going back in line for this is causing a heartache 🙄

Case Complete to Interview July 2020
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
To all anxious interview seekers from Mumbai Consulate and everyone in general, I wrote to the embassy requesting an update on a timeline estimate for reopening visa services and if priorty would be for IR1/CR1 visa when it does reopen. Received the below response, kinda expected and disappointed. Echoing previous comment by @dwheels76, embassy in a specific country will mostly open for visa services once international travel to/from that country to the US begins, which makes me believe that the earliest interview scheduling will begin post August. We were DQ'd on May 11, given the cancelled interviews and backlogs, we are bracing ourselves for an early 2021 interview date (being optimistic 😊). Again, this might vary from one country to another. Let's continue to stay positive, we will get through this...yay! 👍
"As of March 16, 2020, the United States Embassy and Consulates in India have cancelled immigrant and nonimmigrant visa appointments. We will resume visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. If your appointment was among those affected, please continue visiting our websites www.ustraveldocs.com/in and https://in.usembassy.gov/ for updates on resumption of our services."
