Today, my daughter received her PH passport with her visa stamp. Monday they will do CFO-PDOS, then we will purchase her airline ticket.

This is a VISA and will be a Temporary Green Card also called the I551 stamp valid for 1 year, this activates when she enters the US. She needs to see an Iimmigration officer upon entry to the US to get it activated.

She can download it and fill it out ahead of time, with your help, then copy to the actual form on the plane.  Is she travelling alone?

Side note, my family and I (3 USC, 2 Filipinos on tourist visas) went through LAX three years ago and CBP was very helpful!  I was looking lost around the kiosks, wondering how I would do a family of 5, and a Filipino CBP agent spotted us and took us over to a desk for processing.  They had "helper" agents around the kiosks.  Good experience!  I hope your step-daughter has a good experience too.  She can look for a Filipino agent if she needs help.  I think there are a few.  The others should be fine too.

My step-daughter will be immigrating next June / July, with her mom.  We will travel as a family again, so this time it will be 3 USC and 2 Filipinos with IR1 / IR2.  I'm sure we will need assistance!  She will also be travelling close to her 18th birthday but in her case it does not really matter.

Keep us posted on your step-daughter's travel!

The "upon endorsement" is referring to the CBP blue "ADMITTED" stamp https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/temporary-i-551-stamps-and-mrivs

Will she enter the US very soon? Because I recall from the other thread that she turns 18 in October (i.e. for citizenship through INA 320 she would have to enter before her b-day).

There are two kinds of kiosks: APC and Global Entry.

She will be flying alone. I will be outside security waiting for her to board our flight to Denver.
I used an APC kiosk at LAX last July.

Yes - still use the visitor lane.   1) She  doesn't have an US Passport yet and 2) she needs to be inside the US to become a Citizen.  Once she has been admitted and walks past the last checkpoint she will be good.

I doubt there will be any issue at LAX.  IR2 is pretty straight forward.

I'd pay extra to get the passport expedited.

That would be correct - because this is an IR-2 via adoption!

Yes - we paid right after we picked up the visa.

My ssn arrived 9 days after I entered the US, in early August. I would suggest if it doesn't arrive in two weeks then schedule an appointment at the SS office.

You can enroll her in school without a SSN. They will just use some random numbers in place.

She isn't required to have the SSN for school.   But get an appointment / go to SSA a few days after she arrives to make sure she gets processed.

No - she will have to use the Visitor Line the first time.   After that she can use the USC / LPR lane and kiosks.  She can also apply for Global Entry after she get her green card and ssn if she is going to be traveling a lot.

I doubt it.  They will probably want to manually verify it is a valid stamp.

Well that is good news for you.

Hearing that makes me wonder about the letter you received from USCIS ... sort of a "why bother sending it".

You, or your kids will not need the N-600 as that is for applying for their own Naturalization Certificate .. they have U.S. passports  < That is all the evidence that is needed to prove U.S. citizenship.

Thanks for the update.  This will help others that come behind you.   Truly do appreciate.

Congratulations!  Happy to hear the good news although I have already known your petition will get approved by USEM as they have always honor the 🇵🇭 adoption law (retroactive date of adoption to the date of filing).  Thanks for the update and have a happy  family reunion. God bless po.
