Any msc filers get approved recently? I'm over 500 days and still says case received. I applied for n400 Nov 10 22. Still no movement

    I-751 MSC

    1) applied jan 25, 2022

    2) Biometrics- march 7, 2022

    3) No update after biometrics

    5) I 751 was in MSC(NBC) since the beginning . I-751 never got transferred after applying N400 on Jan 25, 2023. May be because my I-751 was already at NBC(its just my thinking)

    N-400

    1) Applied jan 25, 2023

    2) biometrics-  scheduled feb 16 but did earlier by walking in westerville Ohio around feb 10, 2023.

    3) Case status changed to "being actively reviewed on the same day".

    4) March 28, 2023 scheduled for N400 interview on may, 17, 2023

    5) Aprroved both files on the interview day.

how did you get a hold of someone on USCIS? What number did you call? I already had my interview (combo) and my 751 packet still isnt at the field office - I am recommended for citizenship but can't get officially approved until they have my 751 packet.

    800-375-5283.

say infopass and u will be connected to agent. Some agents are good and give u some information. Some are just like reading thw same stuff that u see on ur online account.

Congrats!!! Based on your experience, what documents did you bring on the day? Did you have certified copies? Did you bring any portrait photos? Thanks a lot!

Just the printouts of vacations photos, tax transcript downloaded from online irs account, joint house title, bank accounts, child birth certificate, car insurance, health insurance, life insurance..nothing was certified..just downloaded everything from my online accounts and printed it...i was never asked for any evidence by the interviewer

    5) I see no indication of combo interview on the notice. But as we all are doing the same thing, I will also go along with my spouse.

**** Got call from columbus field office on saturday that they got some appointment issues and that they had overbooked and if I could come on 15th instead of 17th may. I agreed(happily). Again, they did not mention if it would be combo. Today, I went with my spouse. After security check, I checked in with a lady.  After few minutes, Officer walked over to me in the waiting area and asked me to follow her. She(officer) was very nice. She asked me " were u sitting with ur wife in the waiting area". I replied "yes". She said "glad I saw her". I asked her if she wanted her with me. She replied "no need". Started test..reading, writing and then civics. Passed. Confirmed basic info like my full name, spouse full name, dob, child(boy or girl). Page given that says N400 recommended for approval. Then she opened my I-751 file, repeat same questions basic stuff like names, dob, address. Approved it and informed me that I would not be receiving the physical green card as N400 was approved. Came home, checked statuses of i-751 and N400. I-751 still stuck on fingerprints taken(since march 2022). N400 status got two updates(photo attached). Never asked for a single evidence that I took with me for n400 or i751

Thank you :) Good luck to all:)

hi Jazi, I sent mine to Texas as I was in Atlanta then. Now I am in OH... I checked with Emma live agent (not a very nice one). She told me my I-751 is in NBC now. Since I will have my interview in a month, I hope this is enough time for NBC to transfer my file to my FO.

Ok...my i751 was already at NBC since i filed in jan 2022. My n400 interview is next week. I called uscis customer care to ask them if they any info on my i751 if it already transferred to my local field office. They said YES. To make sure, they are not saying stuff randomly, I asked them the date when did it get transferred. They provided me the date. You can also call uscis and confirm it when u r near ur interview date. Good luck

  6. Hey guys. NEED HELP. I have N400 interview coming next week. I was going through my N400 application nad noticed that in part 10 question number 3 and 8 where they asked how many times you have been married, I had entered 1 in my info and 0 in wife's info. I think it should be 1 in both(if they are asking including current marriage) or 0 in both(if they are asking for any previous marriage). Please advise if I messed up and should I inform officer before the interview.

Mod please delete if wrong sub. I just want to ask Jan filers with pending I-751 about the case transfer. I finally got scheduled for N-400 interview in June. My field office is Columbus OH. However, there has been no update on my I-751. Only case received on the website but I received receipt and biometric waiver. Although I will prepare for the combo interview, should I call USCIS asking if my i-751 has been transferred? I really don't want to be in the nightmare situation: pass N-400 but have to wait for I-751

     Thanks!

    Read my post above..

  8. Hey guys. One more good news. I have my N400 interview on may 17th. I was just stressed out if my local field office(columbus ohio) have my pending I-751 file as well because i never got any online status for i751 being transferred to different office(its originaly in MSC). I just called USCIS customer care today and they confirmed that they could see that my I751 file was already with my local field office. I asked them when did they receive it and he again confirmed that they had received it on april 17th. Everything is set now. All i have to do is pass my interview :)

Since my husband's N-400 interview is Wednesday, we got all of the documents together over the weekend. We are bringing the required docs as listed in the interview letter and a mix of old and new marriage evidence, just in case they ask for anything.

Here is a list of what we are bringing, in case it helps anyone. Or if anyone notices something we're missing, please let me know!

    •  H's Green Card
    •  N-400 Interview Letter
    •  H's Driver’s License
    •  H's Australian Passport (new and old)
    •  Marriage certificate (original & copy)
    •  W's divorce decree (original & copy)
    •  W's birth certificate (original & copy)
    •  Tax transcripts for the last 3 years (2020, 2021 and 2022)
    •  Apartment leases (All from 2019 - Present)
    •  Joint bank account statements (new ones since filing N-400)
    •  Joint HYSA statements (new ones since filing N-400)
    •  Credit Card statements (new ones since filing N-400)
    •  Joint Water Bills (Selection of old ones + new ones)
    •  Roth IRA Beneficiary Letter
    •  Documentation of W's Beneficiary/Benefit Elections
    •  Documentation of Joint Car Loan
    •  Documentation of Joint Car Insurance

Can't wait to be done. Also, since we are hoping for same day oath, we nabbed a passport appointment on May 25th to get the ball rolling on that as soon as we can.

Do u also need copies. I thought original would be enough. My interview is 17 feb

  10. I started gathering my original documents for my n400 interview(I751 pending) on may 17th. Just checking if I am doing it right.

So, I have original documents like my child's birth certificate, wife's naturalization certificate, marriage certificate but for other documents like tax documents, bank statements, I just printed out irs transcripts from my online irs account and bank statements from my online bank account. Is this the right way to do it?

I dont need these printouts notarized..right? Also, I have printed out 3 months recent bank statements from my both joint accounts..is it enough or should i print out more than that like last 12 months?

Anything else i need to bring to the interview? My education cerrificates?

Thanks in advance for the help.

  12. Could somebody who already had their interview confirm -: 1) when taking civics test, does officer give four options or only question? 2) if we get options, does our answer have to be from the options? Or we can just give correct answer even if our answer is not in the options. For example- which state borders mexico..let us say, in options, arizona is given but i say new mexico..is it allowed?

I have yet to see a case ( correct me if I'm wrong ) were they had a combo interview without their I-751 saying "Case transferred to another jurisdiction" before the interview.

    Anyone seen this?

I never got any notification about the i751 changed to another jurisdiction. But also, when they change the jurisdiction, they sent the case to NBC(MSC). My I 751 is already MSC when I filed. So may be this is the reason it did not get ransferred because its already there. Just guessing :)
