Tends to take longer when you are going through a third party consulate, even more now no doubt.

What is the meaning of going back to AP from refused...any idea...i have seen people going back to AP only to get their visa issued the very next day...nd whats ur status mate...which consulate...which visa?

The refusal on the 3rd/4th seemed to be a system wide glitch that freaked everybody out. So it obviously got cleared up after that and it is still in AP. What country are you from?

Also please ONLY create one post per topic NOT multiple posts.

Its not a glitch mate...DOS actually changed it from AP to refused if a person gets 221g....DOS officially stated on their website on 5th march that if a person gets 221g then ceac status remains refused until the processing is completed....then I see people going from refused to AP to issued...but here my case went to AP from refused on 13th march and m still waiting...from 18th march, consulates around the world limit their services but most of the people who got status changed to AP from refused had their visa issued the very next day...but in my case they have 16th 17th(2 days) but its still AP....so frustrating...

A U.S. consular officer has adjudicated and refused your visa application. Please follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the consular officer that your case was refused for administrative processing, your case will remain refused while undergoing such processing. You will receive another adjudication once such processing is complete. Please be advised that the processing time varies and that you will be contacted if additional information is needed. For more information, please visit TRAVEL.STATE.GOV or the website for the Embassy or Consulate at which you made your visa application.

For more information, please visit U.S. Consulate General Sydney.

Keeb..mate..it should be shorter text if it is refused...i have my interview at sydney as well...changed to AP from refused on 13th march..no updates since then..

  5. Hi guys...my visa is Cr1...I had my interview in the end of jan 2020. My case has been pending in AP since then. As u all know that all of us got our status changed from AP to Refused around 3rd/4rth march

I just want to ask anybody who got approved after that. I got few updates after 3rd march..like my date updated to 5th march...then 12th march...nd on 13th it got changed to AP again. My status went to AP again from refused on 13th march 2020.

I have noticed in many cases that when a person goes to AP from refused, the person got issued visa the very next day. But, I did not get any update after 13th march when my status went from refused to AP again. Anybody with similar case?

As per my understanding if a person goes from refused to AP, it can only mean that the case is done with the so called longer AP thing...otherwise why would the status change from refused to AP(when all other people still have refused status)....ANY SIMILAR CASES?

    Hello all,

As I posted in another thread, I'm (not so) patiently waiting for my Australian passport to be returned from the US Consulate in Sydney. 😬 It'll be 3 weeks since my interview in 2 days - so really it should be any day now.

I'm interested in opinions on what would be the implications on me travelling to the US on another passport (I'm a dual-citizen) before I receive my AU passport back with visa from the Consulate. Obviously I wouldn't be entering the US on my K1 visa? I currently have a valid ESTA and I have Global Entry through my other passport/citizenship.

I'm just getting concered about President Trump announcing further travel restrictions - namely from Australia. Our wedding is scheduled for the end of this month.

    Thanks :)

    C

I have read the following message on the website of US consulate sydney...they have not clearly mentioned like other consulates around tge world if they have only stopped processing future immigrants interviews or they have stopped processing all the immigrant cases(like cases already done with the interviews nd waiting 4 passport to get back) . The message is following-:

The U.S. Mission to Australia will limit its operations as of March 17, 2020, in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Emergency services for U.S. citizens and emergency visa processing will continue to be available, and mail-in cases will still be processed.

CEAC status still says Ready (for interview). The last updated date is Friday 13th March, so at least someone has looked at something. If we are in administrative processing then no one has told us. At the interview I was told we were being recommended for approval.
