tagging off this topic, does anyone have a rough idea how much it delays your GC if you move during AOS?
We are looking to move but will wait for EAD combo to be produced first as we don't want delays to that
I am wondering the same thing!

Has anyone successfully been able to get information about their RFE by calling? I know, it’s a long shot, but I do not have the luxury of time right now.
Thanks guys
They wouldn't do it for me. Even a Tier 2 officer couldn't tell me what it was. I got mine in about a week.

Hi guys,
Do you know if the DC office is slow? I mean, what is now the average time to get the green card? I live in Northern Virginia but I see that Norfolk, VA has a way less processing time... would be worth to send our application there even though it's a 3 hours driving from here? Or I have to do it strictly in DC office?
You don’t get to decide. USCIS will do that for you

Can’t imagine what it could be about. I’ve literally sent them everything. Frustrated.
I got an RFE for my.....marriage certificate. I 100% sent them an official notarized version so I have no idea how they lost perhaps the most important document in the filing. Who knows, that office must be complete mayhem.

DMVs in Mississippi will finally open up again next week. So hopefully by Tuesday I'll be one step closer to being a functional member of society again 😂
omg don't even get me started on the DMV. The EAD is just one part of the struggle ha. I really hope they open up near me soon....only have a week of transport left at this point.

UPDATE:
RFEs for the kids and my AOS. No idea what it could be.
was not expecting this at all, as I have only expedited my EAD.
hmmmmm
So RFE on the I-485?
This happened to a couple of people in the main expedite thread. Have a look in there for some experiences.
My understanding (from my congressperson) is that your underlying I-485 has to be complete in order for the EAD to be issued. So once you respond to the RFE and they process it, I guess your expedite will be processed.
Good luck! -

Even stranger - it appears they asked for evidence again. I never resent it, then it was changed to ‘additional info received’. So weird.
Did you get anything back from your congresswoman.

Yes yes. Expedite was approved on May 15. These “updates” shown in the pic above came yesterday. But no “card is being produced”. So, I’m confused.
I think your congressperson will resolve this issue. Basically, they will email the congressional liaison who will be able to give you a more detailed update. Also, a tier 2 should be able to do the same. If an expedite has been approved then it is approved right? So maybe call to see what is going on?

Ugh. Well I hope they don’t ask more from me. I literally sent them everything I have (job offer etc). I seriously thought this was a means to an end.
Wait, I thought your expedite was approved before?

Really? When did you get the RFE? How did I miss this? And what was the RFE for?
did your “completed” status look like this?
Yes, it looked exactly like that. After that I got an email requesting I fax some evidence to support the expedite request.
Just now, Letspaintcookies said:Guess beefmaster meant the email asking to fax more evidence.
Yes, exactly.

Did your request say “complete” at any time before “card is being produced”?
So the main status never said complete, but that small side bar thing said "expedite request complete" then then I got the RFE for evidence.

Does this mean they won’t proceed with our case as normal once expedite gets denied?...
It was my understanding that it would continue as normal.

Thank you everyone for your comments. This group is so supportive it’s a great place to find solace.
i will regroup and move on.
does the status revert back sometime soon?
Mine stayed as the expedite request denied status until the next one got approved

Hey guys so unfortunately our expedie request was denied
i knew we ran that risk because we didn’t have a pending job over, just some credit card bills and a heartfelt cover letter.
hopefully we will try again with a pending job offer!
I also had an expedite request denied. Applied again with almost the same letter and got approved.
Look up your congressperson and apply through their office. -

No ‘card is being produced’ status updates but there appears to be movement. Any movement is good news to me.
I am not sure if you have done this yet, but I think going through my congressperson's office helped a lot.

Today is a good day --> "New Card Is Being Produced"....18 days after my expedite was approved (and the day I was meant to hand in my notice at work).

That is so wild. And when you called they couldn’t tell you anything? I’m sooo curious. Nothing on my case.
Nope, they just said wait 🙃.

Moving during AOS
in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted
Right, of course.
But, it would be fair to assume that there will be some delays because of the process of transferring files etc.
