Yeh so basically what mine looked like then the "last updated" date on my I-765 just changed today's date a couple hours ago. No idea what it means. New officer? Back of the line? Additional reviews? I just don't understand why they don't have more info on this site

Haha. Not always. I promise. I was trying to show you want my status page looks like but it won’t let me DM you a photo.
Weird, you could scrub out the receipt numbers in MS Paint and post here?

Oh wow. I can’t see why they’d restart the clock. I am thinking approval for you is gonna be today or Monday. That is my hope.
mine still says May 15.
You are always so optimistic!

Huh? Where did you see this? What site? What does this mean?
the regular one: https://egov.uscis.gov/
Yesterday my EAD had the status: "On May 14, 2020, we approved your request for expedite processing on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization"
Today: On May 29, 2020, we approved your request for expedite processing on your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization

Now my "Expedite Request Approved" date has changed in the USCIS case status system from 5/14 to 5/29...anyone have any idea what is going on? Hopefully this does not reset the clock.

Lets hope for the best
Some of the officers are just so much nicer than others. Spoke to a really nice guy this morning that gave me a more detailed update. Told me to check in with a tier 2 on Tuesday if I haven't heard anything. Really hope this is slightly positive news.

What does it mean by not ready? I am in the same situation as my wife lost her job due to covid -19 and I have a pending job offer letter which is getting expired on May 31st so I will also loose my job which I never started. Its so hard for us to pay for the bills and we are on the verge of loosing our rented apartment.
USCIS will never see the pain of other people and will always take their own time to do things.
He couldn't say.
Sorry to hear about your situation. I pray you find a way to make it work.

Keep me posted.
Good Luck
The officer just said my I-485 isn't ready and I have to wait for that before the I-765 will be adjudicated, even with expedited processing. With the added touch of "I wouldn't expect it to be approved any time soon". Very distressing news. My wife and I will now be losing our only source of income and our health insurance in a global pandemic. Despite being approved for an EAD expedite. We are honestly considering abandoning our petition and moving abroad.

Keel calling and asking them what’s going on
I will give it another go this morning and see what happens. Will also ask about the I-485 this time.

Call your Senate. Call your Congressman. They have the ability to back you on this and push it. Call anyone. I’m seriously outraged.
Done that, they have inquired but they cannot push for specific outcomes for constituents. They can only request information (which they have done twice).

Thanks, seems like good news for those workers and the petitions they are processing.
I have basically given up hope though. Today is the day I need to hand in my notice to my supervisor to ensure a smooth transition to someone new in my role. Unfortunately, having an approved expedite isn't enough for them. I need to have the card on hand. I hope you face better luck!

Lets hope for the best. Did you call USCIS and ask what’s going on with your case?
Also you can check if you got an RFE for your i485.
Yes i did. They told me to call back Friday. No idea why.
I have already received and responded to an RFIE on my I-485 that they confirms receipt of at the beginning of April. I will call again today and ask if there are any additional issues though.

Nothing for me too. I have been calling them daily and as a result yesterday I got to know that there was some hold on my case which was lifted on May 14th so after the hold is lifted they usually have 30 days to give a decision on the case. I guess more wait for me...!!!
I hope you hear something sooner than 30 days. Best of luck!

Exactly that’s what I asked the USCIS customer but all they reply is to wait and it will be processed before the normal processing.
Did you get an update on your case? Nothing for me

Hey ! I wanted to keep you updated . We got the advanced parole approved today 5/27
Great! Glad to hear things are progressing for you. I on the other hand.....silence

They are really nice, I’ll give them that.
So, with your situation, If your permit expires before you receive your EAD - can you just not work for the couple of weeks until the EAD arrives without losing your job completely?
Unfortunately very, very unlikely

Did you get anywhere today? I called and was finally out through to Tier 2. Actually they had to call me back because current wait time was 372 minutes or something. Ha
The gentleman that called me back was super nice. He put through a request to the agent who has my file for an “update” and put a note saying that I am supposed to start work on June 1.
he did say that it had an action date and it would be done by June 10th.
Not AMAZING news but, news nonetheless.
also, I asked him about the potential furloughs. He didn’t seem to know too much about it. Don’t know if he just didn’t want to comment or legitimately didn’t not know. Haha
also, I asked what the hours were for processing agents and he said it all depends on where you are in the country as he said they were “nationwide”. That sent me for a loop as I thought the agents processing our cases were at the NBC.
Gah, who knows.
I just spoke to a Tier 2. Super nice person, not a ton of information
Basically, officers have 30 days to adjudicate a case once an expedite is approved...that is all the information I got.

I didn't. What did you say to get through to a Tier 2 officer?
I will try again tomorrow morning first thing and let you know how it goes.

Because if they deem your need to speak with tier 2 “unnecessary” they just tell you to wait. I didn’t want to waste any more time with that rep. I’ll call back. I guess the trick is to give as little information as possible to the first rep. I dunno.
right, I will give it a try and let you know what they say.

Thank you . I would give them a call and see.
I-485 has not changed since I Initially submitted them . Is that supposed to move alone with the EAD?Keep me posted ! Good Luck
I have no idea :). I am just trying to work out why my expedite is taking a long time whilst others is going quickly. I guess its pointless to think of such things with USCIS.
I am mainly stressed about this because I only have a few days until I lose my job

This was pretty much my timeline .
Thank you, and congratulations on it being so fast. I am confused about the logic of how they approach the expedite. I have had mine approved since May 14 and have had no movement on it.
Was your I-485 "Ready to Schedule for Interview"? Mine has had no update since April 1st when they confirmed receipt of my RFIE response (for something that we already submitted with our original filing nonetheless)

I spoke to one this AM. He was super nice and understanding of my predicament. He told me to call back Tuesday if I haven't heard anything.
