Sage77 got a reaction from royryan in Visa refused after interview
This is really stressful for one person to go through. It is still on refused because of the background checks. If you’ve clarified all they need from you, I’ll suggest you wait it out since you have until June on your local travel visa. For all the money you will spend, I hope it’s worth it’s weight in gold. I truly wish you Godspeed.
Keep calling & sending those mails if that makes you feel better, say a word of prayer & keep that hope alive!

Sage77 got a reaction from kugbo in DQ October US embassy Nigeria
Though I got DQ’ed in the first week of October...I already had my interview & was issued last week. Maybe luck, a number of people DQed in October are waiting for interview dates from the WhatsApp group for immigrants that I joined.

Sage77 got a reaction from BrittIgbinovia in Case update changed but visa status still refused
This anxiety rings a bell. A final decision will be made pretty soon. That wait period is exhausting. As soon as it changes to administrative processing, you’re closer than you think.
Please relax, a lot can happen in a week. Stay positive!

Heyy guys! We had our interview today and got passports with visas already. Embassy in Warsaw. They didn’t ask us any of financial documents or evidence of relationship. Only civil documents. Interview passed in good way, but woman asked us a lot of questions 😆😆😆. She was kind and friendly. I wish everyone here will also pass easy interviews. Best of wishes.

That link clearly says: "Subject to the exceptions set forth in section 3(b) of Proclamation 9645, any waiver under section 3(c) of Proclamation 9645, and any enforcement provision of section 6(b) through (e) of Proclamation 9645"
https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/presidential-proclamation-archive/presidential-proclamation9645.html
How do the Proclamations address waivers?
An applicant who is subject to either P.P. 9645 or P.P. 9983 and otherwise eligible for a visa, but who does not qualify for an exception, will be refused but is automatically considered for a waiver by the consular officer during the visa interview. Each applicant’s eligibility for a waiver is evaluated on a case-by-case basis; waivers may not be granted categorically. A waiver may be available if:
the foreign national has previously been admitted to the United States for a continuous period of work, study, or other long-term activity, is outside the United States on the applicable effective date under Section 7 of P.P. 9645 or Section 4 of P.P. 9983, seeks to reenter the United States to resume that activity, and the denial of reentry would impair that activity; the foreign national has previously established significant contacts with the United States but is outside the United States on the applicable effective date under Section 7 of P.P. 9645 or Section 4 of P.P. 9983 for work, study, or other lawful activity; the foreign national seeks to enter the United States for significant business or professional obligations and the denial of entry would impair those obligations; the foreign national seeks to enter the United States to visit or reside with a close family member (e.g., a spouse, child, or parent) who is a United States citizen, lawful permanent resident, or alien lawfully admitted on a valid nonimmigrant visa, and the denial of entry would cause the foreign national undue hardship; the foreign national is an infant, a young child or adoptee, an individual needing urgent medical care, or someone whose entry is otherwise justified by the special circumstances of the case; the foreign national has been employed by, or on behalf of, the United States Government (or is an eligible dependent of such an employee), and the foreign national can document that he or she has provided faithful and valuable service to the United States Government; the foreign national is traveling for purposes related to an international organization designated under the International Organizations Immunities Act (IOIA), 22 U.S.C. 288 et seq., traveling for purposes of conducting meetings or business with the United States Government, or traveling to conduct business on behalf of an international organization not designated under the IOIA; the foreign national is a Canadian permanent resident who applies for a visa at a location within Canada; the foreign national is traveling as a United States Government-sponsored exchange visitor; or the foreign national is traveling to the United States, at the request of a United States Government department or agency, for legitimate law enforcement, foreign policy, or national security purposes. -

@Jeanne Adil the ban is in effect but they are still issuing visa for Nigerian citizens. There is an exception and a waiver consider by the consular that interview you. They are responding to those put on administrative processing. Someone was refused earlier this year in March 2020 and right now she was contacted by the US embassy in Nigeria last week to retake her medical, police report and submit her passport.

Just posting this now, but our interview was 9/25/2020 at the Seoul Embassy in South Korea. We were approved that day and recieved our visa 09/29/2020.
Questions asked to me husband:
1. When were you married?
2. How did you meet?
3. Who is XXX (my father, our joint sponsor)?
4. Have you met her family?
5. Why did you live in New Zealand?
6. Have you had a wedding yet?
7. What does your wife do?
The interview lasted about 12 minutes, the officer was kind of chatting in between questions with my husband. Our appointment was at 8am and we were finished and approved by 8:45. I was allowed to go in and wait with my husband.
The worker who first took our forms at the beginning did ask for my I-864, which due to a printing error I didnt have, just my co-sponsor's...But I said it was uploaded to the website and she said oh, ok we will check it then 🤷🏼♀️

Sage77 got a reaction from AnnamM in I-130 November 2019 Filers
Almost a year & no hope of renuniting with my wife this year. It gets more frustrating week in week out.
Why should it take up to a year for families to be together?? To think a chunk of January petitions got approved about 2-3 months ago.... went through the worst when my wife( a nurse) had the virus in March....Thank God for healing. The thought of losing a wife is a crazy & petrifying feeling.
Sometimes when I’m about to lose it, I just think about the fact that she is still alive & kicking...that is what keeps me going!
Still hoping for good news!
