They made you get the CEMAR? For a spousal visa? It's not mentioned anywhere on the website!
Im wondering. My friend whose a K1 who got approved today was also told to bring the Tax Return of her fiancé 2017, 2018, 2019 now i don't know if that is also on the website for K1 requirements.

They got approved and consul told them to leave the Phi before Sept 03, 2020 and their medical exam that was expired on Aug 02, 2020 was extended for another 30 days.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THEM!

If there is a big chance it would give me problems getting in the US, maybe i will trust my mom again to keep it until my kids K2 medical and interview is ready.
Thank you for the replies, its nice to get answers here

Why would you want their passports in the USA? The passports would be needed for the visa process.
There is nothing in the USA that requires having the passports there for completing the Follow To Join.
I do understand wanting to keep the passports safe.
Are you going to fly to the Phils to be there to complete the visa processing with your children?
Me and my fiancés wants to bring all the documents/requirements needed for filing their K2.
Yes we really want to keep their important documents and that includes their passport. I had a traumatic experience with her, she burnt my school records and other important stuff when i was young and sometimes if everything not doing good according to her wants and liking she snap and sometimes acting weird. She used to hid my stuff and tells me IDK and she don't care and im afraid she might do the same to my kids documents, its traumatic growing up.
We wants to bring their documents with me after getting approve K1 Visa, we want also to travel to the Philippines for their medical and interviews. If there is no chance i could fly to Phi after getting married in K1 my fiancé would like to travel & assist my mom for my kids medical and interviews.
As of now i only photocopied everything, i asked here in VJ forum, because im a little bit worried of my mom, but i hope she wont do any crazy thing.

You are the parent, they are minors .... I don't see an issue.
Are the children in the Phils?
Yes they are in the Phi (we are).
I asked so i would know what to do if i travel overseas and start filing their K2 FTJ process. I want their documents on hand instead of waiting for my parents to mail it.
Thank you for your response.

You’re not going to be in trouble since it is your children’s documents. But you will waste time and money sending papers if they need to submit originals if they needed to.
The only original documents i have is their birth cert (psa & local), baptismal, passport & my eldest son's school record. The reason im bringing these because it will take forever for them to mail the documents that we will going to need for their K2 follow to join. I arranged the possible requirements for their applications, my parents will going to have a hard time gathering these, they are in their early 60s and the pandemic and restrictions do not allow them to go out.

Hello!
My question is AM I ALLOWED to bring my children's passport and few original documents overseas without them? Would i be in trouble?
Thank you.

Ok. Are they part of Visa Journey? I only know what VJ members have posted. I estimate that only 1% of all visa applicants are members here and update their timelines.
No theyre not.

It is a nonimmigrant visa, but it does say it will eventually turn into an immigrant visa if you do marry and adjust status.
Looking at the VJ timelines, there have been zero interview dates recorded for PH K1 visas (the last was March 2020). For the CR1/IR1, they are doing expedited interviews at the Manila embassy (around 10 have been recorded in July 2020). There was 1 case that said they didn't expediate their case but still had an interview, but it was at the Singapore consulate and recorded under the Philippines section.
Nonimmigrant visa for spouse (K-3) - It is important to note that application for the nonimmigrant visa for spouse (K-3) who married a U.S. citizen must be filed and the visa must be issued in the country where the marriage took place. After the visa process has been completed, and the visa is issued, the spouse can travel to the United States to wait for the processing of the immigrant visa case.
The US embassy posted a new update today: "As of July 27, 2020, U.S. Embassy in the Philippines is resuming certain immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services, including F student visa applications."
I have a friend whose K1 and k2 expedite their case and got approve and they will be doing their interview Aug 5.

I have a friend a K1 and K2 applicant, the embassy emailed and called them for their August interview. She request for expedite.

It's also a huge pain in the backside that slec is the only option. For those in Manila maybe not a big deal. My fiancée and two kids are being petitioned by me. So yes, it's expensive.
I agree. In my case i need to travel from Cebu to Manila still its expensive and exhausting.

What was her reason for expedite? If you know
We had a good conversation, she mentioned how worried she is because the first week of August their (K1& K2) medical will expire. Shes expecting to get an answer like a week before it expires. And they called she asked if the consulate will going to make them get another Medical? the lady answered "it depends" who will handle and interview them. Her medical will expire August 2nd and their interview will be the 5th of August also but other than that she never mention anything.

So you didn't or don't have to go back day two for the results?
I don't have to go back because the same day they gave me my results in a sealed brown envelope and gave instructions.
My K1 friend & her K2 approved!
