  1. Hello po! Im confused, K1 exempted or not in the Proclamation?

We are in  the interview and waiting stage but Manila Embassy will going to open in April 30 but not until May 4 as normal working days. There are few areas in Luzon that are still under strict lockdown until May 14 or 15 because they have more cases. My question is that true that Manila Embassy is not going to accept appointments until June?

Im sorry my English is not that good.

    Thanks!

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

    Thank you and Godbless!

I'd like to invite you to join a thread that speaks about the "next" steps and how to follow your case with tips, tricks and hacks contained on the first page, first post of this thread. We discuss a lot of what happens at this stage and help you to be more informed as your case file travels to your embassy.

Also, we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

    Thanks

Hello @Greenbaum I hopeyou have a good day do you have a P3 of Philippines? Thank you and Godbless!

Relax.   The NOA2 can take a couple weeks to receive.   After that your case file is forwarded to NVC where it can be another month before your case file number is issued and the case file is then forwarded to the embassy.

First .. jump over to the Philippine forum as the process for the Philippines is different than other embassies.  See you HERE  ;) >>     https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

Once NVC has your case file # for the Philippines ( MNL# ) you will want to email NVC requesting your case file number.  Info HERE (under the K-1 section) >> https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html

You will need a copy of the NVC email/letter for your medical at SLEC (petitioner should email you a copy), info HERE >  https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/medical---slec.html

Once your case file is at USEM here is the guide for Manila   https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/us-embassy-usem.html

Thank you po :). Noted 😊

I know it can be tough being apart for along time,  but its not too bad,  the longest my wife and I were apart while we were doing our K1 between our second time meeting and me picking her up after her K1 approval was  15 and a half months.   You guys will be ok, cancel the trip and wait till this all dies over.  Use Line or Whats App and video call every morning or evening.

Thank you, like i always tell him "everything will be okay" . That might too hard for you to wait until you see her but worth it. God is good. I will take note of this 😉

You will  not be able to see them (quarantine) so what is the point of the travel?

Cancel, most airlines are not charging a fee to reschedule.

almost 6mos of not seeing each other, when the Governor declared it its more like last minute changes, but i have no reason to be mad. And yes, my fiance cancelled his flight and other bookings. Thank you

VISA issued on February 26, placed on hold 27th, no word on final approval since. Now caught up in this virus mess.  Hard to figure out how bad things are at the EMBASSY but it appears something is going on and it is not good.

Im sorry to hear that, in my country's Embassy also cancelled all the appointments immediately and when the lockdown started everyone has questions. I agree that soo many things thats been going on youll never knew and what to guess. I hope everything will be okay and to your final approval. Godbless you.

You expected the notice to be delivered less than 4 days, two of which were Saturday and Sunday (and mail is not delivered on Sunday in the USA, normally).

That's not how America works, sorry. That's not how most countries work.

First of all Im sorry, and i dont know if u saw my response to others how excited and confused iam how it would tell us cos i thought it would be the same in our NOA1. Im glad that there are few people here who let me understand how it works in NOA2, this is my 1st time. Anyway same in my country it doesnt work that way too (i guess). Thank you.

Besides all the risks of last minute rule changes, we should all avoid unnecessary travel. He will be contacting hundreds of people along the way.

I know how excited he is to see me for 5months almost 6mos (longest time not seeing each other) i will tell him to cancel it because its not worth it 12 days stay and 14 days of quarantine. We know the risk but maybe we need to wait until the travel ban is done. Anyway thank you.

  10. I dont know how to begin this.

My fiancé will arrived March 29  2020 from Chicago to Taiwan to Cebu Terminal 2. And now the Governor of Cebu implemented domestic flight was cancelled (other areas of Phi) and any direct international flights entry will going to have a 14 days quarantine while my fiancé has 12 days of stay only. Should i tell him to cancel his flight? I dont know what to do 😔

am I missing something?  it is March 16,, she said last March, meaning a year ago March? Doesn't that mean the K1  visa is no longer valid?  How did you wait a year??

Im sorry if my english confused you, I mean last March 12, 2020 and now its March 17 (my date in Phi). I thought that my fiancé will going to have an immediate letter or any notification after the approval of our Petition NOA2 just like our NOA1. Then few replied that my fiancé will going to get a snail mail soon and im fine now 😄😊. Im sorry.

What delays? Delays would be only of the notice isn’t delivered by Mar 27.

    Thank you 😊

  13. Hello everyone! I checked our case status in our K1 Petition few minutes ago (just updating). Im so surprise when it said our petition was approved and sent an approval notice. I called my fiancé immediately and freaked out why he or why he didn't get any email if its already approved (we update almost everything). My question is, is it normal to have  delays that long? Does it happen also to others? Why? Its March 16 my date and it said in the tracker to call the USCIS website if we didnt get any notice until the 27th of March.

    Thank you and Godbless!

Do you have to travel to the embassy within the next month? The embassy workers will still be doing their job. By looking at your timeline, you're in the waiting stage right now.

Next month, i think soo. Its what also my estimation. I always check online if ever the embassy makes announcement. Thank you for your message!

  15. K1 Philippines.

Hello guys i have another question and hope someone can help. Manila in Philippines starting March 15 will be lockdown because of CoViD-19 my question is, will it also (lockdown) delays my visa application? Thank you and Godbless.

p.s Phi Embassy has no update yet in their website. (sorry for my english).

He (USC) provided a copy of his divorce decree to USCIS with the I-129F?   Both of you must be free to marry at the time of filing the I-129F  < That is one of the requirements for filing the I-129F.

If the USC was divorced at the time of filing the I-129F the embassy doesn't care what Philippine records show.  You are not getting married in the Philippines so it is a moot topic.

Please update your profile to show your country (Philippines) and visa type.  Thanks
