Hello all, my case was approved for an expedite and the NVC had told me they will send the case ro Abu Dhabi as soon as possible. I'd sent a letter last month and requested my case be transferred to ankara, should I call the NVC and notify them to disregard that inquiry?

Hi, for me it was about one week.beacuse I changed my embassy and some things messed up. But I saw some People in hotel they got that in two days. I trusted one tourist company to get my medical but they didn't .I went to interview without that. after my interview I send that to embassy by post ,two days later I got my visa. I went to medical center near abuhail metro .I think it was the name. They gave me some thing to bring with myself to airport in USA but no one didn't want that. I still have them.

I've been to the embassy last Wed, 2 Feb, 2022 for a B1/B2 visa interview and it was packed with people for interviews both immigrant and non immigrant. My appointment was 9:00am, I arrived 8:45am and been in queues till I finished at 11:20 am. They've approved my visit visa despite knowing that I have an immigrant petition in queue awaiting consular processing which was good surprising news.
 
The good thing is that they're back to normal operations as it seems, also a lot of immigrant interviews was taking place, couldn't help notice that a lot of those was from Philippines.

Did anyone’s appointment get canceled?
We received an email stating that our appointment in 2 weeks has been canceled without any explanation. This is for our K1 visa.
 
Could the current events with Yemen be causing this?

I entered the USA at the Miami airport a few days ago with our 3 year old US citizen child.  We used the non citizen line. We entered a little over five months after she received the visa so things may have changed about the medical papers she was told to give to immigration. Because no one at the immigration in the Miami airport would take the papers....they just said that they aren't necessary. Not sure why since the embassy told her to deliver them by hand to the US immigration check point. 
 
They took us into another room before we could pick up our luggage. The wanted to make sure that they had the correct mailing address and phone number to contact us and send the green card. 
 
I made an appointment at our local Social Security Office. One of the few reasons they will actually let you make an in person appointment is for issuance of a first time Social Security card. I was told to bring her passport along with her birth certificate and her I 94....I told them that she did not receive an I 94 and they told me that the stamp that immigration put on her visa will suffice. 
 
If anyone is interested I'll give an update as to how things went at the social security office. After we go on the 3rd of Feb. 

Still quite out there. Tell you friends in other threads to please fill out the form so we can keep the spreadsheet up to date. Thank you to all who do it. It sure helps us know where the embassy is at on scheduling.

Update regarding our previous expedite. 

* Date Email was sent to NVCExpedite@State.gov:  11/24/21
* Date NVC Acknowledged and Replied:  12/7/21 
* 12/9/21- Email received that expedite has been denied
* Date US Embassy/Consulate Approved Expedite: 1/18/22
 
When we received the denial email we closed the book on the expedite and thought it was done with, however more than a month later were pleasantly surprised when we got an approval for it! I had no idea this was even possible!!

After our expedite was approved they told us that the Embassy would need to receive it and review and they would then send us instructions to register online. That took about a week. Once we got the instructions email, we registered for the courier and then we were able to book an appointment. 
 
I don't think its possible to register without NVC issuing the IL or the Embassy giving you the instructions once they have received and reviewed your case.

This thread helped see timings of others who have expedited. 
Also, I believe they included in the acknowledgement email that I should receive a response in 30 days and if not, after that I can contact them? Double check, you may be able to contact them about it since its been 35 days for you.

I also heard due to the lack of staff and huge backlog they are tackling right now. The expedite is not being actually sent to the concerned Consulate also atleast for India(Mumbai) and they just straight away sent a denied email. Because I tried expedite 3 times with Medical reason. The first time I submitted in Oct they took around 40 days to review the request. And the last 2 times I sent I got a response in a days time that it is denied.

I posted this before. Expedite has nothing to do with actual problem of yours. It is purely luck and mood of person who is reviewing it. There is absolutely no connection to your actual issue. 

Misread the response as I thought you meant something else. I was thinking you meant you can’t use a letter. Anyways, these days getting expedites approved is like tossing a coin “head up” you get approved and “heads down” you get denied. Our case reached the embassy today. Now waiting on an interview but in limbo because we have the B2 visa now. So confused on what to do.

Ours took 11 days.

What it has to do with is how concerned the person who reviews your request is. If you get lucky and have a reasonable human reviewing the request  you may get approved for the expedite. It is not easy to get approved for expedited processing. I have sent over 8 requests and spent close to a year at NVC. My case has been there since December 25, 2020. I sent an expedite on November 29, 2021 and ISB has denied all my requests besides this most recent one. I think because I had the strong doctor letters. Plus my priority date is in August 2020.

No they simply ask to send a email and then forget about it.
