I just received my notification a little bit ago, so it looks like I can stop worrying now haha. I had to check the dates again, it looks like mine was actually received there on 4/21, so it actually only took about a week and a half for the notification.

Which center did you send into? I sent into Phoenix AZ, received on April 18...but crickets :( They have cashed the checks though.

  2. For those of you who were granted emergency interviews try to schedule your medical well in advance. The embassy received my Medical Exam on 1 May, interview was on 5 May and they confirmed that they received my Medical. My case is still under administrative processing (was changed to "refused") due to the consular section not having paired my Exam with my application. This has been the consulates response thus far “Currently, our mail intake process may take up to 1-3 days from when mail arrives at our office until it is delivered to the consular section and is paired with your application. This delay and the discrepancy between post being marked "received" and it being paired with your file is routine, especially at the present time.”

As of right now its been 7 business days since they received my medical and 5 business days since my interview, we don't know how much a missing medical on the day of your interview will delay your case.

I don’t want an emergency interview. Just one when they resume again as I don’t want to fly with my three year old in current conditions. So I’m curious if they’ll give me a date soon that’s far off or I’ll be waiting for a reply as generally they hand out dates fast after the email reply.

I got an e-mail saying they've delayed all  scheduled  interviews until May 31, possibly later. Sit tight!

  4. Feb 4: expedite requested

Feb 11: emailed Australian embassy asking for expedite update

Feb 12: email back from NVC acknowledging expedite

Feb 17: email from AusItalian embassy saying my expedite is under review

March 3 morning: called NVC to check on status

    March 3 afternoon: expedite APPROVED!

Now to wait for my interview letter from Sydney...I'm guessing in about 2-4 weeks time? Sorry if this has been asked before, but are we allowed to do the medical without an interview date?

Does it normally take a month to get an expedite approved? I think it was more like a week or so. I just requested an expedite today.

Myself and @Duke & Marie both requested expedite around the same time and it's taken us both a month. I know someone who put in expedite at the Japan embassy before me and got approved in a week or 2, but he called every few days asking for a supervisor to review and give him an update. Maybe it's dependent on the embassy too.

So, just got off the phone with US Embassy in Canberra... 30 mins of my life wasted.. If your thinking to do this, don’t waste your time and just keep banging your head on the wall.

note, outsourcing to call centres overseas continues even with the US Embassy.. 😐

Why did you call them? I emailed Sydney IV last week and they emailed back that they received my expedite case and will send the result to NVC to forward to me. Try emailing them perhaps???

Does anyone know how long the average Expidite request takes to get a response?

we requested - unreasonable processing delays due to NVC error... not that their likely to admit anything is their fault, it’ll be a damn miracle if they accept it 🙄

Omg was just about to message you asking about your request. We requested LAST TUESDAY and still no reply even acknowledging they received it. Maybe someone who recently filed for NVC expedite could give us some pointers?!

Anyone else CEAC not working? I received 2 emails from from the NVC one says Document Qualified, the other, sent a minute later, says to login and check the messages. I have logged in and see incomplete under my AOS, but when I click on it to see what is the problem it gives me an Application Error and kicks me out of the site. When I click on messages, nothing loads.

I tried it on 2 devices, 2 internet browsers. My attorney’s office gets the same errors.

Tried calling NVC and can’t get through. Guess I’ll try again tonight. Anyone have an overseas calling app that’s better than Skype? This is costing a fortune to call and get the automated message and call dropped.

At least they drank their coffee this morning, but the web tech people went a little

overboard and broke everything. lol. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.

Viber is super cheap. $3 for 157mins to USA!

I have one question, how do you guys are calling NVC. Whenever I call at 603-334-0700, I always get a automated voice saying all customer reps are busy and call get hanged up after that. How do you guys are getting a hold NVC customer service representative?

    Hey,

The voice message is different when you get through. I called about 8-12 times in a row before I got a different one (literally hang up, call again within like 10 minutes)!!! He will say something like "select your language"! Good luck.

    Hello all,

To revive this topic again I would like to understand something.

I am currently have a ESTA visa which is valid for 2 years. I applied for this visa in September 2019 however, me and my wife have submitted the I130 petition in November 2019 which is currently pending. As the visa is valid for 2 years, am I allowed to use this still? or do I need to re-apply for the ESTA visa due to submitting the I130 application after? Please advise.

You're 100% allowed to use it. I got my ESTA in Oct 2019, married in USA Oct 2019, went back to home country, applied for i-130 Nov 2019 now back here in the USA visiting for 3 months on ESTA.

    Good luck with the i-130!!

    Hi guys,

I'm the US Citizen and just received my NOA2 for my wife in the Philippines. They forwarded our case to the NVC as of Jan 8, 2020.

My question is, what will happen next and how soon? I wasn't clear on if they will be sending paperwork to me here in the US or both me and my wife. Thanks!

My i-130 got approved late December, I got my NVC case ID 3 weeks later via email (emails were sent to my husband's email as well as my own), as well as paper mail sent to his address in the USA with the case ID.

In the meantime you can prepare your civil documents!
