Don't transit through Schengen Area, UK, Ireland, mainland China, Brazil, or Iran. https://bf.usembassy.gov/u-s-visa-and-travel-faqs-for-non-u-s-citizens-following-the-coronavirus-covid-19-pandemic/ "Please also bear in mind that transiting a country covered by the Presidential Proclamation, even without exiting the airport, counts as physical presence within that country."

Thanks a ton for the information

  2. This question most likely has been answered somewhere but I've not found one with a recent date besides May. If so please someone redirect me as I may find myself in thesame situation eventually - A friend had his interview yesterday and is scheduled to pick up his visa on Friday. They are looking to purchase a ticket But most flights transit through Europe (Belgium via Brussels, France Via Paris) and I believe the current ban doesn't allow transits in European countries for K visa holders? Is it allowed to transit or would they need to find a way around it (which as I see the only way around would be to travel via Ethopia/Addis Or Turkey) ? Any help is appreciated

Hi everyone! But how can we distinguish between the "Ready" for the electronic file and the "Ready" for the physical one? Mine says ready since Sept 22nd and underneath my case number says last update Sept 24th, when my case turned from At NVC to in transit I used the DHL hack and when it said delivered my status turned to Ready, so I could assume it is already at the embassy

This is just my guess but I don't think there is a way to distinguish a ready between both. In your situation, your case switched to ready after the file said it was delivered through DHL which means everything of yours is at the embassy. In my situation, it went from in transit to ready in 1 day but the tracking via DHL still shows its on its way. And from the explanation provided above, there are two "ready" implications would make sense in. So i think the only way to tell would be to see where the package is via DHL

BTW have you used the DHL hack to trace your case file to your embassy? I outline the steps in the PDF on the first page in the first post. There are two "ready" conditions. First is the electronic file has been received by the embassy, and the second "ready" is the actual check in process for your physical file has been received from NVC via DHL. Good luck and stay engaged.

That would explain my confusion! I did use the DHL hack you outlined and it shows its in transit but was surprised when the CEAC status changed to ready. Now that I am aware there are two conditions involved it makes total sense. Thank you sooo much!

This was posted today on the US Embassy's website for Serbia.  I hope it means that they will begin processing K1 visas!  @Greenbaum, do you know if that's what it means?

Beginning June 1, the Embassy will resume offering appointments for U.S. passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and notarial services.

In as much as i wish that were the case, I am doubtful they will be processing visa request as from the wording, it is quite specific as to what they will be doing. But that is a big sign that soon we should be looking forward to things moving along!!

The answer appears on the first post on the first page of this thread.

While you are waiting here are the links to your P3. Spend some time going over what is needed and begin to gather everything, so you are ready when it's your turn.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community those who come behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

I was going to wait till i heard something and did not want to be a bother but this has really made my day. Because you responded to someone else's post i didnt think this would have information concerning me and was surprised the information was directed at me. Thank you! This will give me something to pass the time with. And without a doubt, will give back as much information as i can when the time comes

With what is going on now, am not sure if I should be happy or not. Our I-129f was approved today

No matter how small it is, good news is always welcome. A lot of us could us some of it. So share the news with your loved one and enjoy that relief. And also because of what is going on, an even bigger reason to enjoy your approval. Congratulations!!

Thank you @Malcom_TDo we need to write a withdrawal letter before refilling? since we don’t have any receipt number or approval or just cancel the money order and refile to the appropriate address

Like @Marieke H said, there is nothing to file in terms of withdrawal and hence cancel the money order. Someone correct me if I am wrong but withdrawal petitions are done when USCIS acknowledges receipt of your application and there is a case number associated with it. Which isnt the case here. Just think of this as starting afresh. Gather ALL the documentations that are needed and submit.

  9. Like many others have stated, a lot of stuff doesn't add up here and a Fiance who is SERIOUS about the K-1 Would know sending just the I-129F and a payment won't cut it. Most if not everyone reading this is getting a feeling of you being left in the dark about the truth. Get your Fiance to join, read this thread and respond so others can get you the answers you both need. But to be honest, Refiling CORRECTLY is the only way forward.

We got a text message for Receipt No. It starts with WAC, does it not mean the NOA1 correct. I believe this is as we submitted the G-1145 for Notification of Acceptance of petition. Does this mean the application package is good for processing and nothing is missing. Any comments.

I Like to see as an informal NOA1. They are letting you know that your case has been assigned number and which service center has it (california) and also that it passed the initial review; Correct form submitted, signed  and correct fee issued. So relax and let time do the rest :)

You do not have to delete her name just to show her number. I believe the individual reviewing it or CO will trust the chats included in the petition are between the you two. Just make sure its not saved as "wifey" or "hubby" either side. You can take the backup just from your perspective and send. But don't over think the process. Remember this is all just secondary evidence and slight proof of an ongoing relationship

Hey guys. Me and my boyfriend are currently trying to start a k1 petition but we’re kinda stuck with the question “where is your beneficiary going to stay in the united states”. He’s in the military and staying in the barracks and housing office wont give you a house until after marriage. What can we put in that question? Also, he’s born in Germany inside a military base and we’re not sure if his birth certificate will be applicable for his proof of citizenship. Thank you in advance for all your help! ☺️

Hello! For the question "Where is your beneficiary going to stay in the US" , I  believe they want a permanent address back home that he is linked to. When he is back in the US, where does he live? Does he have a home of his own, live with family? I am not in the military but I believe that can work. Maybe someone with more experience can give you a definitive answer and as for proof of citizenship, his passport will do

Please  help me out with this: do I need to print out all the whatsapp chats between me and hubby and bring to the interview?

Hello - No you do not need to Print out ALL your whatsapp conversations. Select different time frames, screenshot and print So it proves and Ongoing relationship. Like  @Vani & Henry mentioned, other things like, money transfer receipts, pictures together are also a few things to have handy. But most important of all, know specifics about your relationship :)  Good luck!

Like submitting at NVC bank statements? And house documents? No we didn't submit that. She is rich.

But we didn't submit that. Is there a way to submit that?

I am not as experienced or as Knowledgeable as many who have responded to you and i say this with all humility and encouragement for your case hoping it goes well. To your original question, do you have hope? Yes you do. They returned your passport but ASKED you to submit more documents. Meaning you have a chance. Focus on providing the information that was asked of you. You can't send anything to NVC at this point as they forwarded your case to the Consulate so If you want to add extra's like bank statements and all that to show your petitioner has what it takes to prove you won't be a public charge, you could send that along with the new I-864 you submit. But remember, the CO has no obligation to consider those as they asked for 2 specific things based on what you stated - joint sponsor and WHY they decided to sponsor. The one thing I have learned from this site is - trying to prove your case to us (members of VJ) will change nothing. We  understand and feel your anguish. And i say this because you keep reiterating that "she is rich". We may not know her financial situation and she may as well be secretly be a millionaire. But none of us here asked for the I-864 and as a result none of us will be reviewing the documents. Focus on what it is you have been asked, do everything to get the right documents within the short window you have as time now is playing against you. We all respond because we want to be of help! Do what others have suggested
