Did anyone apply for a SSN through EAD and hasn't got the SSN yet? How much time does it take for the SSN since the EAD Approval?

The GC Interview is managed by the local offices. i.e. Manhattan in your case. However, the EAD and AP cards are still managed by NBC. So, I hope you'll hear soon about your EAD and AP. Also, you might have to apply for a renewal too as the GC interview timelines are crazy!

I got these letters on mail yesterday too. Did you see any change in your status on the website? Mine changed to "card has been mailed to you" yesterday. Maybe by Thursday we will have it with us.

Congrats both of you! Finally the EAD is done  .. Will keep you posted on my EAD in case I receive any update by this week.. Haven't heard anything so far.

I got my tracking number! Mine was picked up from Lees Summit too yesterday and I'm getting it on Friday 29th! Probably because 28th is a holiday, but anyway I'm so excited and happy that it's coming before the weekend!! 

First of all Congrats!! We all know how painful it is to wait for the EAD/AP. At least one thing is checked off.
 
As for your questions, I guess your EAD/AP would be a combo card (if you filed them together) and will be delivered in a weeks time. Considering this is a holiday season, especially this week.. Your card might reach you by end of this week or early next week!
 
Also, you can just work with your EAD.. GC isn't a criteria to work unless your employer insists.

I just received my EAD and I-130 approval notice today but still no i-485.
They said they would deliver the EAD card separately so i have to wait. But how long?
Can i work with just EAD card but no green card? Since i dont know when will i have it?
 

Yeah. I checked with my lawyer and the HR of my company. Without a SSN, you might not get paid but you can start your employment. Once your SSN arrives, the company will pay your arrears along with the salary.

After you file an expedite....
USCIS will email you the results of your expedite request. If the expedite is approved, it is normally processed within 3-7 days of the request, and the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) arrives within normal mailing time. You may not work until the EAD arrives. If the expedite is denied, your application will be returned to the queue where it was before.
 
 
Hang tight buddy. You'll most likely get a tracking number today!  You might have your EAD by end of this week..

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I guess you just need the EAD to start working right? Once I have my EAD, I can go to my SSA office with my passport and EAD to check if DHS/USCIS have passed on the information to SSA or not. If not, I can request them for a SSN right then.. Fingers crossed that the EAD comes soon.. My employer has been really patient but has been checking with me every week now 😕

Wanted to quickly check that if anyone has an idea about how much longer does one have to wait for the EAD to be in hand. Got an update saying the expedite request was approved today. Wanted to get your thoughts on the same. Thanks!

Oh they said that since it is in-process and we can only check the status of the case and not any details regarding the case. Which was weird. I guess we will have to wait it out.
