My problem we have interviewed last September 9, since then we  never received any email from the embassy  about this endorsement letter. Is it the sign that they are the one who requested or send the letter of request to NBI?.. Worried much because 1 of our child will be turning 21 next month.
 
 

Let's see. First time, I was told the application was in progress and come back in three weeks. 2nd time they confirmed it had been sent but I'd already confirmed it hadn't been received, so filled out SS-5 form. Find out then my name was wrong. Advised 10-14 days. Will be enquiring again Monday as USPS informed delivery hasn't picked up anything yet.

Well let's see. POE on December 28th 2019. According to SSA, card was issued and sent on December 31st. Card never arrived.
Waited three weeks. Saw a nice lady at my local SSA office on January 21st. Was told two weeks. At time of posting this, it's been 10 working days and nada. I am understandably concerned that such a crucial document (Real ID act for drivers license requirements etc) has potentially gone missing TWICE.
 
I've now camped out in my local SSA office three times, spending on average an hour each time. I am reluctantly planning a fourth trip on Monday.
 
The less I mention of USPS screwing up my green card delivery along with USCIS not updating my address, the less my blood pressure raises.

if they don’t have a record of you as you said before, imo something went wrong with the automatic application (it happens sometimes). They will need to see your proof of LPR anyway to issue now so you may as well stop wasting time on the phone and just go into an office with the application, in my opinion. 

Go into SSA.   We had better luck going to a suburban office.  The downtown one said to wait.   A day later we went another office , waited less, and a supervisor took care of it.

any update on ur case? my dad is also waiting for his...had an interview on 11/23/18, ceac status changed to issued on 12/03/18, until now no passport with visa.

That is generic info for CEAC ...  you do not attend another interview unless the embassy contacts you directly for another interview .. .just be patient.

Yes in that case  you should wait for them to request your passport. In our case  they told us to submit the passport with the 221g.

They will not contact you, they will either issue or deny your visa based on the NBI letter. Watch your status. Took us another two weeks to get issued after the letter was received. I should have said if they contact you it's  not a good thing.

Don't  send it without them asking for it. If it gets misplaced it's on you and your fault. I would not do it.

Gotta agree with Sarge .. wait until it is asked for.
 
Make sure to check for emails from the embassy  and spam folder

My finacee just went to NBI Manila July 17th, 2019 she took her 221g. NBI can not and will not issue an explanation letter without the endorsement letter from USEM, maybe it has changed since April 2019 Hank, but no the 221g will not work by itself. We are in that same boat now!

I just asked him what he did. He didn't make a letter of authority, he told me that after he sent his friend in the uk the equivalent amount, he filled the form online and got to the payment part had his friend long into his pc using a software called team viewer and his friend used his card to pay. Note that not everyone would do this, it has to be someone who is trusted.

Well if you don't have credit card you can use someone you know and give equivalent amount to card holder. I did the same while applying police clearance certificate from Switzerland that too online. Good luck 

A friend of mine had a similar issue. The quickest solution is to send the equivalent amount to someone in the uk so they can help you fill the form online and pay, make sure you give them the correct information to fill the form. You can send the money via paypal, net teller, skrill etc
