Here’s my suggestion for London K1s
 
I would suggest:
Submit DS-160. Gather documents. (for interview as well as documents for medical appointment). You don't want a looming appointment if you hit a hiccup and won't have what you need for the appointment.  Book your medical date by calling the clinic. 020 7486 7822.  Book the courier, pay, and pick an interview date all at the same time on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv. Select “I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment”, whether you have the letter or not.  Leave 5-7 calendar days between medical and interview for best results. Attend your medical. Attend your interview.

And do read all the information and FAQs on the embassy website instructions. Don't assume you picked up everything you need to know in the K1 threads. Each embassy does things in their own way.
 

Got my NOA2 back on 10th September. Said on the hard copy that I would have a notification letter with NVC case number.

Haven't heard anything back yet. am I meant to do something? thank you.

They received our case April 20th x waiting on NOA2 now

We didn't sadly. We also used a money order - not a check because we didn't want it to bounce.

We're going to wait a couple more weeks.

We sent our petition Feb 10th and we haven't heard anything back yet.

Hoping we get a NOA1 soon though

Still nothing back on our case, we sent ours Feb 10th, but didn't file a E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance.

Feels like garbage...

Sweethearts, I can not stress enough that even though this Visa process is long, daunting and honestly terrifically tedious,
that the reward after the fact will be so worth everything you will go through.
 
Just think about how wonderful it will be at the end of the journey
that you will have legal papers in hand,
you've not broken any laws and are guilt-free because of it.
 
It will be such an amazing feeling once you can say
"I've worked hard for my citizenship here,
now I can finally live the life I've always wanted to without
feeling like a public charge and can provide for myself (and family) and I am free!"
 
The day I get to say that, I know I will be ready to take on a new chapter in my life.
