Totally true and with good reason. It to bad the CO who denies a petition can only say "the relationship is not real Or marriage is not bona fide / when they may have seen things like the bene talking to several others on social media telling others the same they say to the USC. One VJ member fought thru a long NOID with proofs (basically it was all proofs of what she did to satisfy immigration and the CR1 -mulptiple visits, going to his country to marry, etc). but he came, and as soon as he received the green card and was gone to his real GF in another city, I suspect there are times the CO'S know things and a USC should check to see if her heart is wrong and she should trust the embassy. i am one of the lucky ones to have gone thru a long visa process and be married to a good man for over 15 years but i see many who are not its a shame some people can ruin the chances or others but it is so and we at the mercy of immigration to feret out the bad ones

you said and i quote, "When asked when she smokes weed, she said she does it when she is stressed-" With this process being very stressful to ALL of us , she needs to deal with stress differently -just trying to help here as the new CO at interview can ask her' how do you deal with stress now? i would ask that if i was the CO

It is if a US office is located inside a federal building a government shutdown significantly affects U.S. immigration by halting non-essential functions like Department of Labor (DOL) PERM processing and pausing E-Verify services, though fee-funded services such as USCIS petitions and Department of State visa issuance generally continue with possible delays. Immigration courts will postpone non-detained cases, while border security and essential law enforcement functions like Customs and Border Protection and ICE enforcement remain operational.

K1 interview date in Ghana
JeanneAdil replied to sannynita's topic in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
To schedule a K-1 visa interview in Ghana, you must first register on the AVITS website, complete the DS-160 form, receive your case approval from the National Visa Center (NVC), and then create an account on usvisaappt.com to pay fees and select your interview location and time. After confirmation of your payment and receipt of the email from the U.S. Embassy, you can then proceed to schedule your interview, a mandatory medical examination, and gather the necessary documents. https://www.usvisaappt.com/visa/page?country=GH&apiPageName=visaFees&locale=en that is all i could find as the US embassy in Ghana is less than helpful k1 is not listed in nonimmigrant visas there and says to refer to immigrant site and the K1 is not listed there either -
Everyone should listen to this as he talks about so many issues we deal with 1 is funding-saying it should not be federally funded as it is not responsibily for others to pay for our benefit /maybe i shouldn't pay school taxes as i have no kids in school 2 is family migration 3 is vetting 4 future naturalization possible changes 5. fraud issues and so much more now lets see if he can get movement in Congress as that's the real problem / they don't seem to want to deal with illegal and/or legal immigration

Bringing Cambodian Mother to Visit US on B2 Visa
JeanneAdil replied to PadieNerkBrapone2's topic in Tourist Visas
Filed IR 5 for parents in January 2024 so chances of new B2 may be slim / CO may assume she will come and adjust to stay as the IR 5 shows immigrant intent -
Same answers you received in October this is Ethopia your wife is pregnant so she needs to prove she will return to home country she should be ready to show she owns property in home country she needs to show she can afford the trip and she can not work -even to help your wife -with the new child -that takes a work visa

https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/international-taxpayers-filing-status-if-married-to-a-nonresident-alien-youtube-video-text-script States: BUT, IN GENERAL, REMEMBER…IF YOU DO NOT CHOOSE TO TREAT THE NONRESIDENT ALIEN SPOUSE AS A U.S. RESIDENT FOR TAX PURPOSES, AND YOU DO NOT QUALIFY FOR HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD FILING STATUS, THEN YOUR FILING STATUS WILL BE MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY. THIS SUMMARIZES SOME OF THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR TAXPAYERS WHO ARE MARRIED TO A NONRESIDENT ALIEN. CO does not say "u filed taxes as single/ why?" but can say "marriage is not bona fide" this very much depends on whether u spend quality time with spouse and the evidence u provide to prove the marriage is strong some embassies do judge harder than others and filing single is an frowned on

Continued problems with SSN!
JeanneAdil replied to smilingstone's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Why a post office to verify SS card? A trip to local SS office should suffice /calling seems useless
