Can I ask what time your interview was scheduled for, and if you have any more info about a 2:30 PM cut-off time? I'm trying to learn more about how San Francisco does it and am curious if the same-day oaths are given at specific times in groups, if it's per immigration officer and they just have a hard cut-off, or what. Thank you!
It’s determined by the time you finish your interview. If the officer approves your case before 2:30, yes it’s same day oath. It’s done in a large group with people approved weeks before.

Interesting. So I-751 was approved in 2022 and you never got 10 year GC or notice of action?
Never did. I recently received 48-month extension letter.

Approved on spot at San Francisco. However, we just passed the last oath at 2:30, so we need to come back again another day.

Case was already approved back in Feb 2022. Somehow, the system never showed. The IO cancelled the 751 interview and went ahead with N400 directly.

I have an interview for N400 coming up. I recently travelled to Canada. My rental car company charged me for "traffic violations". The amount is about 150 CAD, including handling fees. I believe it's a speeding ticket, however, I cannot find out any details after contacting them many times. All I have is a posted credit card transaction. Any suggestion on how I should present this during the interview? Thanks in advance!

I posted on the wrong thread.
My N400 was scheduled on May 10 around 2pm at San Francisco. I'm glad with the near end. I'm wondering if this late time can still make same-say oath at SF?

Sharing/cross posting… doesn’t look like things are getting better…
Checked the data and reports from USCIS. I751 backlog has been consistently building (Jan 2023: 12k received, 10k approved, 240k pending)

Oh boy, you ready for this?
Here's what it says for me (applying on 3 year rule by the way):
Estimated time* until case decision:
Things are taking longer than expected. You do not have to do anything at this time.
Same status. 3-year rule as well

Same boat. Hang in there

Applied under 5 Yrs with LPR with 90 Day Rule
DOA: 12/14/2022
Receipt Notice: 12/14/2022\r\nBiometrics: Received reuse of previous biometrics notice on the same day
FIELD OFFICE: SAN FRANCISCO
Case Status: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS
Estimated Timelines: 9 Months (Initially it was 10 months after a few days changed to 9 months)
When I checked previous filers, I saw a trend: most of them received interview schedule notices after approximately 2 months and interviews had been scheduled after one month of notice time...Totally now USCIS is finishing the process within 3-4 months...
Hope for the Best...Good Luck Everyone...
That´s a correct observation. USCIS quarterly reports also confirm with this trend at SF. Straigtforward cases are processing quickly.

Howdy! My i751 status changed from case is being reviewed to “new card is being processed”. No interview nothing.
last week I inquired on my i751 and uscis responded the following:“Recently, you contacted us about the status of your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, filed on 06/04/2021. On 05/29/2022, you also filed a Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Our records indicate that your Form I-751 and Form N-400 are currently pending and will be adjudicated at the same time.”
Am I supposed to expect to receive a date for my n400 interview soon then? Anyone experienced anything similar
Wow, congrats. I have already given up hope for 751 approval before my N400 interview.

It makes financial sense and if complex labor petitions can be dealt with in 2 weeks , then family based won’t be so tough.
But I am speculating and they are going slow and steady about rolling out the promised premium processing for I-765 ..but new filings across the board have been pretty impressive on speed. So , yes I think it’s a practice runPersonally , I find attorney fees to be astronomical, and don’t understand why USCIS fee increase is so demonized.
I think fee increase is fine, just like inflation. I just find it hard to justify 751 for increasing from about 600 to 1200. 15% increase is understandable, 100% is not. It puts 751 to the pricy end of their forms, but 751 is still a low priority and takes ages for some. I have no opinion on premium processing. For me, I would probably choose a cheaper and slower option, and thus, 600 is a lot, even though I didn’t pay that.

Genuinely thought I misread this late last night when I first saw it. It seems to be entirely disproportionate in comparison to the other changes and the hours they listed in the analysis portion. Guess anyone waiting to file the I-751 later in the year will most likely just be f'd then. Classic USCIS.
The same reaction. I had to check the official file to make sure.

When was this?
CBSA updated its website in April 2022 to clarify that extension letters were acceptable.
Nov 2022. I had to teach them the rules. lmao

For those who have cases pending, feel blessed that we are paying 600 dollars less.

Can anyone share their recent timeline for filing N400 while I751 is pending? FO is San Francisco. Getting a little anxious seeing N400 from others later than me already finished their journey.
Question about return of old passport to China after naturalization

When you apply for a visa, the embassy will ask about your prior citizenship and passport. They will cut your chinese passport and return it to you. Pretty straightforward.
