    Hello guys!
My status changed to issued  few minutes back and I couldn't be happier!!
I had my interview on the 16th of May. The interviewer kept my chat records and photo album and told me to wait for a week or two to hear back from them. I'm listing my AP timeline below:
16th May - AP after interview
    17th May - AP
18th May - Letter issued requesting for my passport (My album and documents were sent to Kolkata which was my nearest documents drop off location)
23rd May - Documents reached Kolkata
24th May- I flew to Kolkata and dropped my passport
25th, 26th and 27th May - Weekend and Memorial day so Consulate was closed
    28th and 29th May - AP
    30th May - ISSUED
Thank you for all your support! I am so grateful to be a part of this amazing community.
@Mrsamoah2019 @sj0509 Good Luck with the interview guys! Wish you nothing but the best! 👍🏻

Thank you. My husband has been in the US for about 2 years now. 😀 I just come on here to help others through the process.

I know it seems daunting, but you can do it. This site is very helpful if you follow the guides and pay attention to your particular country portal.

I’ll tell you some advice I tell others. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. That’s how you have to approach the visa process. Focus on one phase at a time, one piece of evidence at a time, and  it won’t seem as daunting.  I know it’s silly, but it definitely helped me get through the process.

Nhyira reacted to O&GForever in No Frontload at USCIS or NVC stage.
Front loading means to submit evidence upfront during the USCIS phase and again at the NVC phase. For high fraud countries like Ghana, the COs can sometimes make up their minds about your case before you even step foot in the embassy. So it’s recommended to frontload to help your case.

Remember though quality over quantity. 100 photos won’t do you any good if they are all selfies from the same day. But 10 strong photos from different trips, activities, etc. could benefit a case.

    My PD was 9/11/18
Case was sent to NVC on 2/22/19
Received my case number from NVC on 4/5/19
    Paid all fees 4/6/19.
Submitted DS 260 on the 18th of April and all other Documents on the 29th of April. All Documents except marriage certificate were accepted in 4 hours. We uploaded it again on the 30th of April and we had a ‘documentarily qualified’ email from nvc in 10 days.
We are waiting for our interview date... Glory be to God.
It’s my prayer that everyone here receives good news by the end of the month.

We are passing the time apart by buying a new house in California, near Napa, and planning another trip to the beautiful beaches of Brazil to be together in June for a week to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.  We're hoping for an interview in Rio in July or August if all goes well.  All the best to everyone at the NVC stage still waiting for their interviews!

Nhyira reacted to Mrsamoah2019 in Did we "meet" enough? Should I go to the interview?
    1) He's from Ghana, but using a different embassy -Do we still need to go above and beyond with proof of continued relationship? Like printing a zillion what'sapp pages?

yes just because he in italy he still born in a high fraud country ...all u need is 3 days of chats per month..simple...just to show consistency

I was thinking of printing 2 screenshots of conversation a month since we filed, some wedding plans, and a couple of video chat screenshots with him and my family. ---YES  this is exactly what I did...I frontloaded the heck out of mine

    2) Will they say we "only met twice", so should I spend the time off and money to go to Naples for the interview? -Do we already have enough face-to-face time? ---quality over quanity..if ur two visits have a lot of evidence in them then yes if not then i would say go

    3) This might sound cheesy, but should I get my Dad to write a letter acknowledging our bona-fide relationship, and supply screenshots from Dad's phone of them scheduling guitar practice in my living room, my Mom might have a picture of them practicing?  yes my mom and brother wrote one..also his mom and pastor from Ghana wrote...i also did screenshots of us with each other familes..the more the better

but dont be thinking because he in another country he will have it easy...put all u can into it

Nhyira reacted to USS_Voyager in Different dates for Court wedding and white wedding.
Your marriage date is the date on your marriage certificate. Going to the court and signing the paperwork is what made your marriage legal. A wedding is just a party. It doesn’t make your marriage legally recognized. Nobody cares about the wedding. And I never met anyone that do their wedding on the same date as the date they go to court to sign the paperwork. Usually everyone does the court paperwork first and the wedding is weeks/months or even a year later. Weddings take time to plan. Going to court to sign some papers doesn’t take the same level of planning
