11.2018 i-360 filed

04.2019 i-485 (new) filed 

04.2020 i-360 approved

04.2020 i-485 your case was transferred to another office and since that it was quite, no updates for the next 11 months.

11.2020 I-765 filed for renewal, still haven’t got any updates. (173 days)

03.01.2021 I-485 medical exam

03.23.2021 I-485 they received my medicals

03.31.2021 I-485 your card is being produced

and only after that I felt like- what a relief!

04.09.2021 I-485 your card was delivered 

 

I just want to say - it’s unbelievable feeling when you can finally go to sleep peacefully and not thinking about the whole process. I was thinking about the process everyday for 2,5 years.

to all of you- stay strong no matter what and never give up because your relief is coming soon as well!

We asked the officer to keep my I-485 open and they kindly agreed to. There has been no updates on my I-485 since that and my I-360 got approved in December. I sent an update request for my I-458 through the USCIS website but didn't receive anything. I am in Brooklyn, but we filed I-485 in NY and the interview was in Manhatttan. Should I contact congressman or just keep waiting? Is it possible that my I-485 papers are lost or disconnected with my I-360 case? The interview line in Brooklyn is very long, so I would like to make sure it is at least at the end of the line.

03/2019:  Filed I-360
03/2019: Attended I-485 interview with my lawyer, they agreed to keep my case open
12/2021:  I-360 Case was approved

 

Your vawa was just approved in December, no need to worry about as it does take a while to get interviewed scheduled again. 
you probably won’t get any response from inquiring on-line because your I-485 is linked to a vawa case. 
Ask you lawyer or congressman to inquire if you want to know the status of your application.

I inquired and never got a RFE. Got approved within weeks of inquiring!

I had my I130 interview today. I showed up for interview and asked officer to hold my I485 and wait for my I360 to be processed. Officer asked me several documents and ID.  Now the status of my i130 changed to "Case was updated To Show that No One Appeared for In-Person Processing"

Do you know what it is? is it something good or bad? 

What is the status of your I-485? Since you applied for vawa, you no longer need the I-130. Did you show the officer your I-360 receipt?

PF does not mean vawa will be approved. It means that at a first look you sent all the required documents.

I never got PF and got approved in about 18 months.

I have also received my combo card back in September and I am very grateful to be able to work legally. However, I am still stressed. 

It takes about 18 months for approval.. don’t stress, your time will come! 🙌🏻

Send a new medical in as soon as possible. They might approve you without an interview.

My vawa was also approved 11/2020. I just got a mail this week from the national benefit center that they are missing my medical (so it transferred from Vermont to them) and I'll either get a RFE or an interview notice from local office.

Tracking number is for the card. Ask your attorney to double check the mail. It comes on a separate envelope from the approval notice

Sometimes it takes a few days-week between receiving the approval notice to the card. Usually there is a tracking number with the card sent update. Check that on the usps website

My case was transferred on the same day i got C31-EAD, 

I got notification about c31 card production in November-2020 but my I-485 has no updates since 2019. 😞

I’ve been living in the USA for over 10 years.
