  1. Hi, I am filling out the N400 form.
I got my green card 3 years ago through marriage, and I enter the US with a fiancée visa 4 years ago.

In the 5 years residence in the US question I need to add that extra year before immigration?

Will that extra year miss lead the immigration agents since it is 1+ years being outside the US. But I didn’t have a green card or immigration process in that period of time?

    Thank you.

I think a job offer is enough with a cover letter.

In my case, I called them first to request expedition under financial loss to the company, so after a few necessary questions, the rep asked for specific info I'd like to add to my reasons for expedition. Then a few days, I got a mail asking for faxing my documents. I faxed a cover letter, the mail, contract and upon the recruiter's permission, I also included a couple of emails stating they need me to work for the company as soon as possible.

    Good luck to you!

Thank you! I call them today but I don't meet any of its criteria so they say I can't expedite. I only have a job offer and apparently it isn't enough.

You need the NVC email or the letter from embassy when you go to medical. To schedule it you only need the NVC number.

Thank you so much!! Just a question, do I need to NVC email that they send when they assign the case number or the NVC e-mail that is sent when they forward your case to the embassy?

  6. Thank you so much for your help! I am trying to plan ahead in other to have all the papers ready!

For your scheduling your medical what you need to present?

The NOA2 is enough? Or you needn’t the NVC case number? Or you need the package 3 from the embassy?

As far as I am aware, the police records for Japan are nation-wide, so you only need to obtain one from your current prefecture. Once obtained, the certificate is valid for one year. You will need to bring your passport, residence card, and an official document demonstrating your need for the police certificate such as your NOA2 letter or instructions from the NVC or consulate.

    Thank you so much!

Just to make sure, my residence card have to updated in the back with my Gifu-ken adress? I have a friend helping me calling and she said that they need the formal doc of my adress in Gifu-ken. Therefore, I need to notify Nagoya that I am moving and they will give a paper that I need to bring to my current city to register, ones registered they update my residence card and give my an other paper to present on Gifu-ken police depart. This info is correct?

  8. Hi guys, I am from Colombia but living in Japan 6 months ago.

I need to request my police records, I lived in Aichi-ken for 3 months and now I am living in Gifu-ken. Do I have to request the police records from both prefectures or just the Gifu-ken one?

What I need to bring to request them?

    Thank you!
