Not really. I also had two appointments.  I had to schedule a seperate one for the I-131 because the appointment notice was only for EAD and AOS. I think I called them in early September and they scheduled it for 10/03. I don't know why they have time to give me two appointments and others have to wait for months... I'm sorry! 

My biometrics appointment was not today but on 09/22, my status didn't update to fingerprints taken until probably 10/09. And it even says in the notice "as of October 2" 🙄 

Just got off the phone with them and now got my appointment on 09/22. I'm still upset because it's such an unnecessary delay but I'm also relieved.

Guys, my PD is the 27th of March and I have yet to receive a biometrics appt. I'm slowly losing my mind!

What state are you in? I'm in Texas and just got my lawful presence verification in the mail. I went to the DMV with my i-797C and they submitted the request to UsCIS. It took about 12 days and now I'm supposed to go back to get my license. My only problem now is that they don't have any available appointments until December 🙄

At this point in time I don't even care about the AOS. I just want my EAD/AP so i can start working and doing something productive with my day, put my brain to some good use.

I’m led to believe and it was also mention by my wife’s insurance agent that the International Driving Permit only comes into play if you need to claim on the insurance for some reason.... I’m not sure the cops really care as long as you can be identified with your licence whether it be foreign or a temporary US one...

I don't think he can get it if he's already here but I really don't know for sure.
To be honest I'm not really sure how important the international driving permit really is. I feel like they just mentioned it because I told them I have a valid German license and the international permit. So I'm just carrying it with me just in case...

Texas DPS even told me that I can drive up to a year with my foreign license and an international driving permit.

mein Visa wurde heute genehmigt und mir ist ein riesiger Stein vom Herzen gefallen! Ich werde später noch mal mehr im Detail berichten, aber wie Alle schon gesagt habe n, die Mitarbeiter waren super nett und war alles halb so schlimm 😊

Also ich sehe es auch etwas skeptisch. Im Kleingedruckten auf Seite 4 stehen die zwei Konstellationen genauso wie von Fenja schon beschrieben:
 
„ Welchen Geltungsbereich hat die Versicherung?
Was gilt für Personen mit Wohnsitz oder gewöhnlichem Auf- enthalt in Deutschland und vorübergehendem Aufenthalt im Ausland?
a) Bei Personen mit Wohnsitz oder gewöhnlichem Aufenthalt in
Deutschland gilt die Versicherung für den vorübergehenden Aufenthalt außerhalb Deutschlands in dem vereinbarten Tarifbereich gemäß Versicherungspolice (versicherter Aus- landsaufenthalt).
Hinweis: Die Prüfung, ob die Versicherung den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des Aufenthalts- oder Wohnsitzlandes genügt, obliegt der versicherten Person.
b) Für urlaubs- oder berufsbedingte Unterbrechungen des ver- sicherten Auslandsaufenthalts besteht auch in Deutschland bis zu einer Dauer von drei Monaten pro Versicherungsjahr Versicherungsschutz.
Was gilt für Personen mit Wohnsitz oder gewöhnlichem Aufent- halt außerhalb Deutschlands für den vorübergehenden Aufent- halt in Deutschland?
a) Bei Personen mit Wohnsitz oder gewöhnlichem Aufenthalt
außerhalb Deutschlands gilt die Versicherung für den vorü- bergehenden Aufenthalt in Deutschland (versicherter Aus- landsaufenthalt).
Hinweis: Die versicherte Person ist verpflichtet, selbst zu prüfen, ob sie der Krankenversicherungspflicht in Deutsch- land unterliegt. Für Personen mit Wohnsitz oder gewöhn- lichem Aufenthalt in Deutschland besteht (bis auf einige Ausnahmen) eine Versicherungspflicht gemäß § 193 Abs. 3 VVG. Diese Versicherung erfüllt nicht die Versicherungs- pflicht in Deutschland bei gewöhnlichem Aufenthalt in Deutschland.
b) Für urlaubs- oder berufsbedingte Unterbrechungen des versicherten Aufenthaltes in Deutschland besteht weltweit Versicherungsschutz bis zu einer Dauer von drei Monaten pro Versicherungsjahr (Ausnahme: USA / Kanada, siehe hierzu Nr. 3.).
In Tarifen ohne USA / Kanada besteht Versicherungsschutz für Aufenthalte in USA / Kanada für maximal 42 Tage pro Versiche- rungsjahr.“
 
Also entweder wir verstehen es falsch mit dem Wohnsitz oder sie meinen als Auswanderer jemanden, der nur vorübergehend auswandert und sich in Deutschland nicht abmeldet? 🤔
Fragt da jemand gezielt nach oder soll ich die Firma morgen anrufen und nachhaken?
Andererseits die wäre nicht die erste Firma die irgendwas am Telefon erzählt und nachher ist es gar nicht mehr so, weil....

So ich hab jetzt nochmal eine Antwort bekommen. Der Versicherungsschutz gilt nur bis zur Greencard...
 
Bei mir ist das Problem, dass es uns fast $500 extra kosten würde, wenn mein Verlobter mich in seine Versicherung aufnehmen würde.

Ich konnte leider heute nicht anrufen, hab aber eine Mail geschickt und gesagt, dass ich ja als Auswanderer keinen deutschen Wohnsitz mehr haben werden und folgende Antwort erhalten:

"Bei den Adressinformationen in unserem MAWISTA Expatcare Tarif muss es sich nicht zwingend um Ihre eigene Adresse handeln, hierbei kann es sich auch um die Adresse eines guten Freundes oder eines Familienmitgliedes handeln.  Hierbei geht es lediglich darum, dass der Versicherer Ihnen im Notfall auch Postalisch wichtige Schreiben (reiner Notfall) zusenden kann." 
 
Die Antwort gefällt mir aber noch nicht und verwirrt mich. Ich werde da morgen anrufen.

Edit: Wenn ich mir den Antrag anschaue, sind der Versicherer und der Versicherte zwei unterschiedliche Personen. Daher muss der Auskunft nach lediglich der Versicherer einen Wohnsitz in Deutschland haben. Ich hake da nochmal weiter nach.. 😅 

Das hab ich auch gelesen und danach gefragt, aber sie sagte am Telefon, diese Versicherung ist für Leute, die auswandern und ihren Wohnsitz ins Ausland verlegen geeignet, geht aber über 5 Jahre nicht hinaus. Gut, nun wurde mir beim ADAC auch was falsches gesagt. Die Dame sagte mir auch, dass ich zum Vertragsabschluss direkt bei Mawista nochmal anrufen soll. Das werde ich auch tun und dort auch nochmal nachfragen.

Das nennt sich MAWISTA Expatcare. Ich habe auch gerade dort angerufen und zumindest am Telefon wurde mir versichert, dass ich die ohne Bedenken abschließen und ich mich bis zu 5 Jahre damit versichern kann.

1) my fiance has more than 5 addresses s in the last 5 yrs we list out all physical address.. Do not complicate it.. Just list it as long as you can remember 
 
2) my fiance has more than 10jobs in the last 5 yrs, same as item., because he moved from states to states.. We list all his job.. Do not complicate things just list everything.. 
 
For this..we use separate paper, mentioned the page number, part number and item no. 
 
3) no definitely do not recommend to use a lawyer or even those who agencies who will file for you.. You can do this on your own.. You want to get involved as much as possible so having a lawyer or  a paid assistance will get things slower on your end..

2) Yes, list all of them.
3) No. You know your case better than any lawyer. All the lawyer does is take your money and ask you all the information to fill in the form.

Unless your case falls under awa then get a lawyer, otherwise you dont need it as well...

I second everything mentioned by ourjourney_pc. Just list all addresses you resided and workplaces you worked at irrespective whether you had a lease or employment letter. You probably shouldn't mention two addresses for the same time period. If you were a student over the past 5 years then definitely mention that in your employment history. There is no need for a lawyer unless you have a criminal record or for any other reason that you believe necessitates getting one.
