That's so interesting. Did you ever get the interview rescheduled? I'm getting the notice in the mail today and hearing your case makes me think that my interview may get canceled as well and my EAD/AP card is still in limbo. My biometrics were taken before the lock down also.

They never rescheduled it :( Got a letter stating that the interview was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances - and that's all. It's been 11 days since they canceled it, and the status is "Interview canceled notice ordered". However, they approved my EAD after the interview was canceled

  2. Got a letter from USCIS regarding the August 13th interview cancellation. The status update said "We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you". However, the letter just stated the interview was canceled due to unforseen circumstances - and nothing else :( it's so frustrating when they make you hopeful and a week later you are stuck in limbo again..

seem to have an usual timeline for all of my applications. As of yesterday, my I-485 interview has been scheduled however, my I-765 and I-131 status has remained "fingerprints applied to your case" since March 13. Is that normal? I haven't received the I-485 notice in the mail yet but I was expecting my EAD process to be much quicker than the I-485. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I'm in the same boat. However, the interview scheduled for August 13 was canceled last Friday. No idea why - I haven't heard from them since. But my EAD status changed to New card being produced the other day.

  4. 🌟Woke up to some good news! New card is being produced! The status changed from "Fingerprints were taken" to "New card is being produced". The company I had been working for before I moved has been patiently waiting all this time :)
This makes me feel SO much better. It was pretty frustrating - and it still is - when they scheduled an interview and canceled it a week later. Still waiting for a letter from USCIS that would explain what happened

  5. Hi everyone,

Our interview was scheduled for August 13, and a week after they scheduled it the status changed for both me and my daughter (K2). Has anyone experienced the same lately?

On July 17, 2020, we cancelled your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXX, and mailed you a cancellation notice. We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if we need something from you. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by August 16, 2020, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

When did you marry, was it before Christmas 2019? Surely you have pictures of your first Christmas in the US (of course provided you celebrate it) they are going to be looking for things like that. We are not picture people either but you have to do what you gotta do to get what you want!!!

We got married on December 31st. I was the one taking pictures on Christmas, so that won't work :( however, we do have a few pictures of fishing together, climbing mountains etc. We live in the Natural State you know :)

@Lyubov Wheeee congrats, be sure to get all your documents together now, don't wait until the last minute. Your interview letter will inform you what they want you to bring. If the letter has not changed it will tell you to bring EVERYTHING you ever got from USCIS lol no joke I'm serious. Some couples bring everything but the kitchen sink others don't. That's going to be your personal choice you and your spouse!!!!

I don't think we will bring the kitchen sink 😆 My only concern is that we have only a few pictures together, as we are both not "picture people". And I hate to think I'll have to bring all the docs we submitted.. Those guys surely don't care about saving forests :)

What I didn't realize when I got the NOA is that IR1 is the permanent 10 year green card and not the conditional (CR1) 2 year one.  So I was shocked when her card was showing a 2030 expiration date

That seems to be a common USCIS mistake. Here on the forum a few cases like this have been described, and they say you should report it to USCIS, as they are going to find out anyway
