Have you considered the process times from others as you may havw an extended wait.

Most embassies will state: You are advised not to make any travel arrangements, not to dispose of your property or give up your job until the visa has been issued to you. The maximum validity of an fiancé(e) visa is six (6) months from the date of issuance. You must travel to the United States within that 6-month period. Please do not request an interview unless you have definite plans to move to the United States within six (6) months.

    Just keeping it real.

@Greenbaum Thanks (again).  I know some of my questions are repeats, but my nerves are a wreck and consequently seeking reassurance. Your time and feedback are apperciated. Thanks so much..HopefulOne1 A.K.A. HandfulOne1

Thank you all for your kind words!

as for the questions - they just asked how we met, what happened after we met until now, what we both do for work, how much the petitioner earns, what my plans are for when I move.

they did try to trick me a few times and phrase questions differently, they asked about my fiancées job at least 3 times.

But all in all - “everything looks good so I’ll mark your case for approval. you should get your passport within a week”

    NOA 2 --> 04/12/2019
Arrived at Consulate --> 5/16/2019 (DHL hack worked for us!)

After 7 months of waiting tirelessly for NOA 2, growing more and more impatient over time, and eventually desperate, pouring my fears into an online forum which by the way, I've never considered but I'm glad I did. The support in these forums is incredibly uplifting and so comforting, especially in this age of cyber bullying. Just wanted to say thank you to those who read my posts and took the time to comment. Thank you @Greenbaum especially for guiding us through the journey! I feel like a kid holding your hand since the beginning and I'm not ready to let go and venture into the subforums! 😆

We're waiting for the official package to come in the mail. We want to make sure our ducks are in a row and not rush through things.

Just tried the DHL hack again and it worked! It's on it's way to the embassy and expected delivery is Friday 😀
  11. Thanks
HopefulOne1 reacted to Wuozopo in When to schedule K1 medical exam?
I would offer that rushing in before your ducks are in a row is the mistake many make. If you haven't read those K1 instructions from the embassy and prepared everything you will need, then hold off. Do you have your shots, police certificate, medical summary in hand before you make the medical appointment? Do you have the proper birth certificate, passport with six months remaining, affidavit of support in hand before picking an interview?  If this is so important, as you say, then prepare meticulously instead of rushing and tripping.
  12. Thanks

Personal note to the April Filers who are now in transit.

    1. You'll did a good job. You got to this point following tips from the first post and from your friends here in this thread. To those who helped along the way I would like to give a big shout out to you for your help. But we failed together to get the word out to others who didn't have such a smooth trip. Let's do better when we move onto the next thread. GREENBAUM, what next thread?

    2. You all should be in your sub-forum for you regions or countries. There are so many more people there that know the ins and outs, the short cuts and are willing to share them with you. All you have to do is make the effort to find the thread so... Go up to the blue ribbon at the top of the page and select "forums" and scroll about 3/4 of the page down and you will see the links. Your participation in this thread is over. We can't help you anymore because we who are here are from Germany, Latvia, Cuba, Mexico and other country's too many to list. We can't help you. We are trying to get our arms around our own embassy requirements and we haven't taken the time to know yours. Good luck and we all wish you Gods Speed to your visa.

    3. I'm chuckling to my self because I have only had one person ask me for the P3 for their country. That one person read all the way through the "buckle up" post I made. His life just got way easier while you are here asking duh what do I do now.  Sorry, just had to laugh.

    4. During this whole trip you have made it so hard on yourself. Calling to USCIS and NVC from home your fiancé's home and wasting all that time. When in the end USCIS gave you what you asked for and that was a answer to your application. The NOA2! Then you went on the hunt for the case number which most embassies don't let you schedule ahead till you have the case number in letter/paper form. So what kind of unneeded stress to you place on yourself. Did you move the needle on your case. MAYBE a week. I hope you have a little more willpower when you apply for your AOS.

    So to my April friends...
adiós, adieu, addio, adeus. ... aloha. ... arrivederci. ... ciao. ... auf Wiedersehen. ... au revoir. ... bon voyage. ... sayonara.
and all the best to you. Safe travels.

When e-mailing the embassy your packet 3, did you just send a copy of the checklist checked off and signed? Or did you also have to include all documents on the checklist with the email.
