 I just got back from my fiancee's country to accompany her for the interview (ten months apart this was a good excuse to go to see her even if it was just for a short time), it was approved god is great.

Being long distance from each other and being relationship is so hard, saddening, and this process really tested my nerves. I just know it's all been worth it, I just wish the process was shorter.

Congrats! Where did the interview take place? I get told not to take my fiance to the interview as that would cause too many questions asked by the visa officer. How did the interview go?

7 months of waiting for it to get approved. Two and a half years since we figured out we wanted to stay together for the rest of our lives.

Ok I get it. How long did it take to get noa2 from the date you mailed them an RFE respond?

To everyone who had RFE - did the status change after you sent USCIS what they were asking? My fiance paid for tracking and USPS says USCIS got our letter. Wondering if the status on USCIS site will change from "we sent you a request for additional evidence"?

Ya I remember that. The bank statements, flights and hotel booking, plus affidavits from our parents will have a date mentioned that we've met within 2 years of submitted petition. We just hope to turn around asap.

So it turned out they needed more evidence that we met. We sent them photos of us together with geotags on it, our flights and hotel bookings. Now we're including our passport stamps from Spain entering and leaving Barcelona, bank statements where they could see that we've been there at the same time soending money, and affidavits from our parents.

The date you got hard copy by post. 

We got an RFE. No idea what else they want to know😖 so whoever got an RFE, how long did it take them to approve after you sent them what they want?

We heard the same first time my fiance called. But another thing is we've had this name updated status for more than a month. I wonder how we end up being the last person's being reviewed when there's October filers being pushed through...makes no sense and it makes me angry. Why meeeeeee

Ya it is frustrating. I'm quite a stress-free person, I was strong as a rock as much as I remember myself, but this only thing, waiting for NOA2 made me cry like a little girl a few times now. So frustrating 😠

We were told Congress can't do anything while we're in normal processing times. My fiancee called USCIS and all they seemed to do was checking our status on uscis site, just like we do it 1000 times a day. 

We're still waiting for NOA2, no RFE either. Noa1 Aug 14.

Can't even dream about that..it's very expensive for me to fly somewhere, and I need visa for most of the countries) our passport is very weak) and my fiancé can't come to my country because of his job restrictions..

Last time me and my fiancé met was May 2017... Guess how we handle? WE DON'T! 😫 Where are you from? Russia? I'm from Kazakhstan and we can't see each other often cause of the same reasons as yours. Most of people here are from countries that let them travel abroad with no visas, lucky! I wish you all the best, girl, hang in there!

My fiance got NOA 1 Aug 9 2018, our status changed from received to "name updated" on Jan 14 2019, No idea what that status means, and we're still waiting for NOA2.
