Omg NVC are such a tease...
got home last night from flying back from the states to find an NVC letter in the mail box... excitement died to realise it’s just snail mail telling me our case number etc...
😡 teasing is nasty when waiting on dq for last 8 weeks 😭😭
Lol i think my snail mail took 2 months from creation because they omitted the postal code.

We all are running out of patience at this stage 😕 It's not normal how long they make us take to be with our loved ones.
BUT! Remember when we were all so excited to be at the NVC stage? Remember when we were just so anxious to hear whether or not they accepted our petition. Remember when they sent us that letter in the mail months later, saying at last, they finally accepted us. Remember it. Hold onto each and every one of these small victories. When looking back, they seem small, but I promise you, they were and always will be big victories... taking us all where we need to be. Don't give up, don't lose hope. We're in the toughest part (when we're so close and yet it feels so far.) But never forget how far we've come. And God willing for all of us, it will just be several more months and this will ALL BE OVER. Stay strong VJ family.
yeah i knew USCIS stage would be long but i thought everything after would move fairly quickly. and here i am over 5 months after noa2 still at NVC. also canada has a huge backlog for interviews. it seems that the process has gotten much longer in the past few years. bad timing i guess.

@Mr & Mrs T we can only hope! I am already 13 months into this process and when I started we thought it would take 8-14 months at the most. At this rate it will be 2 years if we are lucky.

I submitted dec ,2nd .
ok thanks, as usual in this process instead paying and waiting we have no power ..
I submitted November 19th. Honestly I cant believe how long it is taking for one single extra document. 😡
Not only that but after I will still have about 6 months wait for IL. So over all of this.

Hi VJ family ,
i have a little question .
as a lot of people here , I am starting my 7 th weeks with no news from NVC since resubmission.
my question is , could I do an inquiry when I will reach the 2 months points ? ( pretty sure It’s gonna be the case ..)i remember reading something about inquiry after 2 months in previous post but I don’t remember if it was for that or for the IL/interview.
thank you for your answers 🙏🍀
Will be my 8th week. CEAC website said last monday they are reviewing November 7th - unless you submitted before that I don't think an inquiry will help.

I’m wondering about that too. I think i read on this forum that they usually schedule at the end of the month, but I’m not sure. I’m really excited to get the interview letter and I’m also feeling very impatient haha
I think it depends on your consulate. Canada is usually second week of the month.

Not yet. Been over 6 weeks now.

can you clarify, you paid fees? do you mean your case # was generated in NVC and you submitted your docs already (e.g Civil documents and i864)
Yes check my timeline. You should also fill out yours. Good luck

It’s 6 months wait after i-130 approval. Once it reaches NVC, another 1 month for them to issue you case number. After you submit your docs at NVC, it’s 2 months wait. Then you get email saying your docs are approve wait for interview letter which is another 1 month. When your interview letter arrives with date which is for next month
you have about 4 months before the interview day.
Thanks but I know all of this and I’ve been at nvc 4 months now. I paid my fees back in September but there been issues with the payment, then the site went down for almost 2 weeks, then they asked for a document that was never requested in the first place and so it goes.
It also depends on your country when you get your interview date and for canada it’s very long. So I have a lot longer to wait and it’s frustrating. I am simply venting. -

what do you mean by petition approved? is it i-130 approval? if so, then the wait is 6 months
The I-130 is a petition so that is what I mean.

Hello Everyone and Happy New Year!
I have just read the previous 5 pages straight and ow god! Me and my husband (UScitizen) are so behind all of you. USCIS has sent our file to NVC on Dec10th. We figured it was useless to call NVC during the Holidays to know if they had received our case or not.
Reading all of you... I feel I will still be participating to "NVC FILERS - APRIL 2020" 😂 (may not be laughing then...).
Anyone in the same situation (= still waiting for NVC case number...)?
Take care guys and have a good week-end. And congratulations to those who just DQ (you are the light at the end of the tunnel -- I don't mean NVC is a near death experience LOL 😉 )
Alix
Really does feel never ending. My petition got approved in August! That’s already 5 months and here I am still stuck at NVC.
And there I was foolishly thinking once you get NOA2 it’s all fairly quick....- DesmondF., Mr & Mrs T and Alix64

I am in the same boat. Submitted the termination document on November 19th still waiting.
December 30th they were reviewing documents from November 4th I think it said on website so looks like we have a few more weeks to wait. -

Has anyone whose beneficiary is in Canada been DQ’d recently? We submitted 11/13 and are still waiting.
11 hours ago, canadavisa22 said:The last one from Canada I saw was end of October. I'm 11/14, so I think we have a couple more weeks to go. The trend I'm seeing is about 7 weeks, so I'm expecting to see some movement the first or second week of January.
11/19 my 2nd submission still waiting. It looks like they take the whole 7 weeks or more for canada

I received an RFE from the Nebraska Service Center for my I-130 (spouse) on 13 Dec 2019, mailed back my response (they wanted another copy of my marriage license from the Philippines) and got there last Thursday, 19 Dec. Does anybody know how long it will take for them to review and approve my I-130 request?
I had an Rfe at Texas center and within 3 weeks it was approved.

What was the RFE for? If you don't mind me asking. We're still waiting for our case to be reviewed submitted on November 19th.
Same. My 2nd submission was on November 19th. Still waiting

How long did it take for your petition to be approved? Did you file I-130 and I-129f
8 months. Got an RFE after 7 months
I did not file I-129

NVC says they are reviewing applications sent on Oct 11 on December 4.
So currently 7-8 weeks. That’s around mid-January for you. Anything before that is fortunate. I think getting your hopes up for anything less than that is going to be a recipe for being miserable.
Technically this week it should jump at the very least to October 21 as the CEAC website was down for uploading between the 11 and 20.
My first submission took 4 weeks to get reviewed. I am now almost at 3 weeks waiting on my 2nd submission to get looked at. 😞

I submitted my documents on October 21. Last night I got an update. When I logged in all my documents got accepted but the message said to upload an additional document. My husbands divorce decree. This is really frustrating as we already got an RFE for this at the USCIS stage. Where does the decree go? With the civil documents? Or up top with AOS? or does it not matter?
9 minutes ago, KhushLuvsUV said:That's what we were thinking too. It was confusing at first since civil documents are supposed to be about the beneficiary or applicant
Looks like i already got my answer lol
