Big Congrats to you, . I sent mine on September 11, 2019. Do you have an idea when they may get to that date batch?

Frankly , I have not done a proper analysis. However, based on my perusal of visajourney forums, i would say that it will still take 6-7 months to reach you.Currently, i see people from oct 2019- march 2019 being approved in SRC.

However, i have had people 2 numbers behind and ahead of me getting approved in December . So, i think it is case by case basis and which officer ends up with your file.

Some people around my timeline have applied for N-400 and they have already got interviews lined up for that. So , if you are in a hurry, you can go with that option whenever your window opens.

    Good luck!

  2. Hello All

I checked my case status and got this

On March 24, 2020, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number SRC199017****, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I hope all of you see this soon as well. It has been exceptionally slow going for us.

I also wish I could thank the USCIS official working during Covid-19 .

It seems that form is used when you have income outside of the US in regards to tax treaties, is that the case with you? There is no place in the tax forms that asks whether you are a resident or a citizen, so I wouldn't worry about that if you're not claiming income somewhere else.

Thanks a lot for reply Tamaara. I was confused on reading another post where it seems that people filed this form first time after becoming resident.

I didn't earn income outside of US till last year. So i think it should be fine.

I will have to file the form this year.

I doubt they will mark you as a US Citizen when you have shown them your GC. I didn’t even know there is an option to choose that. Anyway you can ask a copy of entire documents sent to IRS for a fee. Can’t you ask HR block?

I got a set of documents from H and R at the time and I checked them. They don't include this particular form. I am not able to locate where is my resident/non citizen status mentioned on the docs.

Will call IRS next week to check.

Looks like I got an update that instead of saying “fingerprints was received” to “case was updated to show fingerprints were taken”

    anyone else got this?

Yes, most of of us have update like this today As of November xx, 2019, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number xxxxxxxx, have been applied to your case

In September, I received "Fingerprint review was completed." both online and paper notice, so I guess they use my previous bio file.

In early November, I receiver paper Biometrics appointment notice, online status didn't change. I couldn't get a hold of USCIS, so I still went to the bio appt on 11/12.

On 11/13, my online status changed to ""Fingerprint review was completed."  but with 11/12 date on it.

my case # stats with SRC.

    Anyone has same situation?

yes , a bunch of us from SRC have same experience as yours. The fingerprints expire after some time so they retook them for us.

    Hello,

I had my biometrics appointment today after 11 long months. However, the machine was having issues reading my fingerprint for just 3 individual fingers on my left hand and 1 one my right hand. Has anyone had this issue? The lady submitted them just like that but she made sure that they were clear enough.

    Best regards,

I had similar issue. Both my little finger fingerprints didn't match. Based on perusal of some threads online, this can go either way. It might be accepted or they might reschedule you for fingerprinting. Average time in prior years was 2 weeks to know if they are not acceptable. Now, i don't know.

I have received my card today! It took less than a week to receive my card from the day our case was approved. The new card has a different look than my old one, not sure if that's the standard 10-year GC look or USCIS has updated the look of GC in general. Anyway, we're very thankful for all the help we received from here. Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations!! Is your Service center SRC?

Called, after waiting 30 minutes, got someone on the phone.  Said no issues with case, but they having some system issues and that not all are showing status online.

I guess the long wait continues. Frustrating when I see so many other people are having movement in their cases. We have got nothing, after the initial extension letter from SRC.

SRC is definitely the slowest. It is quite frustrating.

  11. OP i am sorry you are having such a hard time. Hope you can take  a breather over the weekend.

I agree with the posts above especially @Hawksquill wrote excellent suggestions.

You can make a list of those and cross one by one as you collect evidence. Just to feel less overwhelmed.

Besides all the documentation mentioned earlier, you can also send transcripts of whatsapp messages or phone bill records. These don't replace bills and such, but is better than nothing.

If you are in a state where by default your spouse is the beneficiary in absence of will, you can mention that if you don't have will.

You can also write a letter explaining your financial situation and how it is getting better now, so you can get credit card etc.( I also had to get secured credit card at first, I think this is relatively common).

    good luck..
