Got a letter from USCIS, was shaking while opening it not knowing what it would be about, until I read it and saw it was just a new NOA1 for the I-130 because I updated my address online 😂 Well at least now I know they have the right address!

Today is day 353 of waiting and day 172 since my 14 year old son left to go to get settled back in the US and register for High School. He is type 1 diabetic, diagnosed only a year and a half ago, so him being away from me is stressful and I worry about his health in addition to everything else. 
 
 My company is struggling with my delayed return and trying to fill the void. The previous employee already left and my delay is hurting them. I hear it almost daily. Last week, I heard they’re considering hiring someone else because this is taking so long and they’re losing a lot of money and that would leave me jobless. My heart has been feeling so sick for weeks, so I’m leaving my husband here for the next 3 weeks and go try to figure out how I can fix the situation with my job and see my son. 
 
We went yesterday to try to get the police clearance letter for Cambodia. It takes a month and they keep all your original documents while it’s in process so hopefully we will be approved and on our way to the NVC by the time it comes back. 
 
I’m trying so hard to hold all of this together and not let it fall apart while trying (and failing) to be patient. I know we are all stuck in this doorless waiting room together. Weekends feel so much harder because it’s guaranteed silence. Sigh. Another day passes. 
 

I completely understand.  Unfortunately, I actually don't really know too many other Swiss here.  I work full time, but if you wanted regular language exposure for your son, I'm sure we could arrange to meet regularly.  Let me PM my email and phone. 

You can change your address online only from a US to another US address. If you filed from overseas you cannot do it. I researched this on the forum and elsewhere online as we are also moving to the US soon and applied from France. I could not find a clear answer on how to change your address in that case. I think calling them might work but I am not even sure. Other people sent the paper form, writing a foreign postcode instead of the US one and adding the country but I do not know if that works either. If you find a way to do this, please let us know.

According to the website he is eligible now already, being a citizen of Switzerland.

No problem! While at USCIS it's just the online AR-1: https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do
But if you move again after you submit the I-864 then you have to paper file I-865, but otherwise right now the online AR-11 is all there is to it! Glad that they have it so easy to do, I was worried about changing my address so I was glad it was so easy 😂

Only if you've submitted an I-864 at NVC and then move do you have to paper file, but at USCIS stage you can just do it online

My one was updated with his account.  My old account still says case received.

An update regarding the interview.  It was very perfunctory, the CBP officers simply reviewed the application information (full name, birth date, place of birth, current address, work and travel history) and if there are any errors, they can be corrected.  One thing that was different is that on the electronic form, you cannot include Canada and Mexico in the travel history section, but the officer did include these (if it was applicable) on the form they were using.  Then the photo, finger prints and out the door.  They told us we would get the GE card in 10-14 days, but once it was fully approved, one's passport should already work.  The entire process took less than 10 minutes and they were nice at the Port Huron office as we arrived 45 minutes prior to our appointment time (I thought it was 12 noon), but they took care of us right away.

@HuberKimFamily it usually takes 7-10days to get conditionally approved. It took about a week for my wife to get conditionally approved. You might want to contact them. Good luck.

Our’s took about a week.  Going for the interview today.

Yeah I need to focus on other stuff , after 11 month ( today I am at 11 months 😫) I need to think about something else . We can not put our lives on hold forever .

I start to feel resigned . To think about September seems to be more realistic on my side ( but if it’s before I will be happy 🤪) 
. Don’t want to yell or anything else anymore . It’s just a loss of energy and they drained me lol 
If someone tell me that I will have to wait a year just for the 1 st step I don’t know if I will do it honestly .

Hey guys! I already updated my timeline but just wanted to let everyone here know too!
 
My PD was/is August 9, 2018, I got an e-mail on July 26, 2019 from myUSCIS that there was a status change. It said there that my case was approved on July 25! We waited  351 days, so all the ones waiting over 300something days too! Hang in there, you should hear something soon!  

On my side I don’t expect to hear nothing before September ..

I considered to file an inquiry, but i got the NOA2 today. notice date was 7/22. I can't expect anything of USCIS.. i am so sorry and hope you get the NOA2 ASAP!!!
