I am also applying for I-601 waiver for the vaccines for religious objections .  I told the doctor at the medical and he noted it on my medical form.   I had my interview not that long ago.   The consulate already knew I was applying for a waiver.  I didn’t have to tell them.  The interview went well but I  was refused (denied) the immigrant visa at the consulate interview for  not completing the vaccines and deemed “inadmissible”.  I mailed my waiver this week.  I have heard of recent vaccine approvals a few months ago even for someone (AOS processing) who had vaccines not that long ago.  Hers was approved very quickly.  I am praying it will be approved and approved quickly as a matter of discretion based on my sincere beliefs.   If the waiver is denied,  what then?  does that mean you are banned entry as an immigrant and non-immigrant?

Can you please share how your process went?  My husband filed the waiver and was approved in 2020- pre rona jab.  I am looking for information on how this process is looking with this new injection added.  Thank you

Yes, the announcement was back in early November that they're extending the requirement until January 8 2023 for travel to US except for non-USC, LPRs and some other categories including immigrants.

Ahh yess. As they have been. I am pretty sure they just keep extending it as any tyrant would. It would be super nice if it went away in January maybe Colombia would follow so I could visit my husband’s family with the baby.

    Thank  you

Thanks everyone for your responses. I'm aware that currently entering the US is not even possible without the vax for foreign nationals. This however, will not remain in place forever. There are currently around 130 countries on the planet that don't have any restrictions anymore. A few months, that's it.

To the person who mentioned this could get political, I don't see how. This is about personal choices and beliefs.

Also "you are willing to risk your partner's arrival to the States"... better than risking anyone's personal beliefs or even their life. So yes, definitely. We have a lawyer in place that we would hire if needed. The question is just if we would even need him, if panel physicians are told the covid vax is not mandatory for K-Visa applicants.

We are definitely willing to move to an entirely different country over this, if needed. Really just trying to explore all our options first. Hence the question if anyone who was planning on filing an i-601 didn't end up needing it.

Have you found any answers? I filed the I-601 waiver of inadmissibility for my husband pre covid jab for the other injections required and it was approved. I am trying to help someone in a similar situation but it’s different now. Have you heard of anyone filing with success with this new added shot?

^^does this apply to green card holders?  I keep reading such mixed info. Thanks

  5. Is the covid jab required for residents to re-enter the country? My husband has his greencard and would like to visit home.  I read that it is not required for residents and citizens.  Can anyone confirm this?  Thank you!

  6. Hello everyone,  I am about to mail my AOS and have a bunch of concerns.

-My 90 days is up 9/4 and I am afraid I won't have it sent by then- I feel like this is okay?

-My husband who I love so much gave his only original of his birth certificate at the POE a the airport- I am hoping the photo he has of it will serve?

-Lastly what is form DS-3025 and why don't I have one?  We have a Vaccination Documentation Worksheet and a c.d. lol I don't understand what I have to send for the medical info considering he just had a exam before coming here

If any one could help me I would greatly appreciate it!!

Guides from the blue ribbon at the top of this page.

Following the guide, I began to fill out the Application for a social Security card.  I am a little confused though about the evidence of identity listed in the directions as he does not have any of those U.S documents.  I imagine his passport is enough? Even thought the directions for the application state that they prefer U.S. documents.

    Hello,

I have been trying to add my picture for the DS-160 yesterday and today. But it still write the same error "missing parameter".

Any ideas how to skip this step and bring them a picture directly?

    Thank you,

I wasted so much of my life trying to upload the picture.  It would not let me. I tried a week later and it accepted the exact photo that it told me was incorrectly sized
