    @mmsamor

At the medical appointment, they will do blood work that tests for antibodies.  That will determine what vaccines are needed.  The only down side is that some vaccines require multiple visits.

We went a different route...My fiancée is in Panama and she was able to pay $22 to get all of the vaccines that she needed.

Thank you- do you think it will be okay that the blood work is scheduled only a day before the examination?

  4. Hola a todas!

    gracias

  5. @Greenbaum You are the best thank you so much.  Another question-  Should we go ahead and fill out the DS-160? I imagine I should wait for the embassy to receive our info and send the package before paying the fee and making thew interview? Because I saw that some did it before?  I have tried to find these answers but I am technologically challenged- the limits of my expertise are backpacking and teaching children art.

  6. I am trying not to get too upset with myself.  As I said before, I put my fiance's bday incorrectly in our i129 como una gran tonta.  I followed  @Greenbaum 's guidance and sent a letter with an image of my fiance's birthday though my package has already been received by the NVC 😭.  I called the NVC again to ask what I should do just do be safe, who told me to send the an image of my fiance's passport as an inquiry.  They also told me that if they do not process my inquiry before my petition gets sent to the embassy in Colombia that they will have to fix it there.  If that happens, my question is, how would I go about it? Calling the embassy I assume? bahhh whyyyy.  I have not idea how I put in his bday as the 12 instead of the 7th like I know his bday I have celebrated it for the past 3 years.

Send a letter to USCIS and include your full name, birthdate, receipt number from your NOA1 and a "picture" of your passport bio page. Explain the discrepancy and sign the letter. Send the letter with tracking information.

Thank you for your quick help, you truly deserve a life time of fruit baskets. I understand there are multiple USCIS locations.  Which do you recommend I send this information to?

Birthdate question: Did they not send you a letter requesting the passport with instructions as to what to do?

No, when I called and she asked for the beneficiary's bday and name to confirm- it did not match what she had on file.  I double checked what I had put in the petition and indeed I wrote it wrong.  She said to said a copy of his passport in an invoice.  So I guess that answers my question.  Would a good picture rather than scan suffice do you think?

  9. I received that email above as well.  I haven't been calling NVC either because I am so drained from this  whole process.  Does it make a difference if I call?  I am good with just knowing when it gets to the embassy if that is an option.  Does calling make it quicker? Also @FaithProfessoR congratulations with your baby on the way, you have seemed like such a positive person- wishing both of you the best!

Yeah agreed. What happens after we receive noa2?

After we receive noa2 we wait until the embassy in our beneficiary's country to receive the petition and then wait again for the them to send packets 3 and/then 4 to the beneficiary.  You can get a jump start by going to your country's page here on vj and viewing the consulate information.  There, you can find the packets in which they will be sending the beneficiary and can get a jump start on the requirements listed to bring to the interview.  Each country has different requirements but generally most need: a bunch (6)of passport type pictures of the beneficiary, beneficiary's birth cert.,  police records of beneficiary in all countries in which they has resided, w2's/bank staements/proof of employment/income of petitioner (there are other ways to prove petitioner can support beneficiary as well) You can get started on form i-134..... and get the beneficiary's medical history ready.

Just check your consulate info for more accurate info! Best of luck

Just seen the 2nd Nov NOA2 appear in the time line so looks like they may be slowly moving to us....

So whats everyone doing to start preparing so far... I just applied for all my medical records as it can take up to 4 weeks and started to get everything ready for the police cert and have my fiancee gathering his financial info.
