Shan2019 got a reaction from CJlove in Case Complete to Interview January 2019
That was a Temporary Problem And No NVC is not effected with Gov Shutdown. Don't worry. They are working. If they were shut down, they wouldn't pick up your phone (if you called NVC recently after shut down? I did)

So its Bombay. Yes its normal. Even if you submit AOS and then email other documents it will still say that until case close. It takes 10 to 14 days for case close. After Case close, You will receive email from NVC that it will work with Bombay Consulate to schedule interview and CEAC screen changes to this:

It depends what country case is that. For me I had to submit AOS online. However for other docs I had 2 options Email or mail. We chose email as its fastest. And now my case is close. But still NVC site doesn’t show anything submitted lol. I didn’t even had options to upload documents. So I can’t answer that question.
Its explained here when you scroll down: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-6-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html

They received mine on Oct 25 and I Got Case Number on Dec 3. They are on Oct 27-28 I guess from above posts. But again they are unpredictable. Some lucky people get their case numbers in less than a month, for some it takes 5 weeks.

USCIS Send/ NVC Recieved: Oct 17 2018/ Oct 25 2018
NVC Case Number Generated: Dec 3 2018
AOS/ IV fee paid: Dec 4 2018
Now waiting lol
