  1. You address the issues listed one by one .. fully and completely. Read and reread the instructions again as they tell you what to do. Read literally .. just what it says.
  2. I used the official govt list of questions and answers. Some questions have several correct answers.. choose one only.. write the question on one side of an index card, and the answer on the other side. Practice asking the questions and then giving the answer. Its helpful to say the question out loud and then the answer as this trains the memory.. when you are asked the question your memory will link the answer to that question The interviewing officer will ask the questions using the wording on the USCIS list .. And you will give the answer verbally. Practice the format and well as content of the test
  3. But that 6/12 validity of the medical would have also expired at the buds expiry date.
  4. Question to all my wise and very knowledgeable vj companions. .. do you think there is any value in OP presenting himself .. once in the US on this next trip.. to a Deferred Entry office with this puzzle ? If they can see the first entry on the online record after the visa was issued … Maybe????
  5. Not exactly a “small” mistake. You can request…But they are under no obligation to reissue. Very few requests are reissued
  6. You aren’t getting a visa .. You have .. oops.. had.. one.
  7. You have no green card coming at this point
  8. You were supposed to present this for inspection by CBP on entry into the US before the expiry date. It is a one time use visa. Presenting this triggers being processed as an LPR on entry. The visa page .. or right next to it .. is stamped at that time and annotated with class and date and serves for up to 12 months as documentation of your LPR status The physical green card which you have been asking about arrives usually in 90 days from this entry as a long as you have paid the fee.. and is then your permanent documentation Looks like you missed this boat. You can try explaining your mix up to MTL Consulate and request a reissue .. but I would be preparing to start all over again with the another I 130/ NVC process. 🫣
  9. Do not reschedule the interview. . Complete the medical and attend the interview. Final decision and processing of the visa will be on hold until the Consulate receives the medical report. This is a very common occurrence
  10. Please help us too give you good replies by filing in your timeline or at least giving is this information 1. what date was your visa interview in Montreal? 2 What was the expiry date on your visa that was placed in your passport 3. What was the date that you entered the US using the issued immigrant visa? Land or air entry ?
  11. Im confused. What was the first interview for? Filling out your timeline would help. Thx
  12. It should be but it is not always the case
  13. As already stated .. No one can tell you what the decision will be. Nothing stopping you from trying. Remember that, according to US , when you apply for the AOS it will be because you are have married since arriving on the K1 visa. Home country ceremonies will not be seen as priority because of this. But you can try
  14. Overthinking. All they will ask on your entry is what address the GC should be sent to. Cannot be a PO Box and should not be a temporary address so figure out what address will work .. could be a workplace or family or friend …. as long as their mail delivery is secure and they aren’t moving within 12 months
  15. The answer is simple. Yes. If you do not know exact dates etc for the i 130 submitted for parents that is not a problem. But given the information in your post , clearly your wife HAS petitioned for other aliens in the past.
  16. What visa category did she use to enter the US.. On what basis did she adjust status ? Was there ever an 1 130 filed on her behalf when she was resident in her home country ? it looks like a glitch .. but let just be sure ..
  17. Unless the applicants circumstances have changed, it will be the same outcome.
  18. Hotel receipts/ATM receipts/Credit /debit card statements for each of you showing in country expenses on the dates matching your itineraries , boarding passes etc
  19. The form should be clear what you need to include. From memory, what you have listed is required. Photos are not needed
  20. All clear. The relationship is not a requirement when applying under the 5 yr rule
  21. It couldn't be done online 2 years ago Thx for the update
