I wouldn’t put anything on the photos themselves. When my USC fiancé and I did ours, we put a caption beneath each photo with the date and location it was taken, and who was pictured (i.e. xxx, left and xxx, right). Good luck!

Just to echo @Teacake, I tapped two photos per piece of construction paper so I could write beside them the date. I group my photos by 1st trip to Mozambique, 2nd trip to Mozambique, etc.

Welcome to this thread. Glad you're here. The other group you belong to is very helpful and I recommend that you continue to stay in touch with them as you can all share your experience which in the end helps everyone.

You say you are processing your case through South Africa but your profile shows Mozambique. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile, using the correct Embassy, that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

    Thanks

My timeline has been updated with the correct consulate so I'm not sure to what you are referring? My fiancé is from Mozambique and Mozambicans are required to file through Johannesburg, South Africa for K1 visas. The immigration info is updated as well.

Could use some prayer. I flew into Romania last night from Chicago on Turkish Air for a visit with my fiance Carmen. My luggage didn't make it and they have no idea where it is. I had packed all the paperwork in preparation for what we would need for the interview. Birth certificates, death certificates, tax information along with gifts, jewelry and everything else.

Will update if we receive any information.

    Thanks,

    John and Carmen

Sheesh. So sorry to hear that. Praying that it is returned to you quickly and all in one piece with nothing missing.

  4. I feel like there is a higher rate of RFEs lately. Anyone else feeling this way as well? Or maybe it's just that people with RFEs are more likely to seek out help? It's making me mentally double and triple check what all I sent in back in April every time I see that someone else has received one.

So sorry to all you that have received an RFE, but be encouraged that they have been working on your case and you are getting closer to approval.

    We were Approved!!

    I still can't believe what I'm seeing!!

    Old: April 13

    New: April 18

We were approved 10/05/2018. I was only using the old website and it was never updated. Just checked the new one and I could not believe what I saw. Approved 5 days ago! So happy!

Congrats! We have the same dates, so this gives me hope! Anxiously waiting to hear the same thing. I was hoping we would hear on the 5th to so it could be a great birthday present, but the birthday has past. So, maybe a birthday month present? We will see!

Hello everyone!!!! I hope good news soon for each one of us !!! Does anyone know what vaccines we need? Thank you for your answers!!!! 🎉 🎉 🎉

I was coming to ask the same question. I saw a list of vaccines that were listed, but it seems that are some are dependent on your age. So, there is a list, but not all are technically required if you are of a certain age? Maybe? I could be wrong, but I'm looking for the answer to that same question.

I have one questions regarding the new website - do I have to create a new account? I've been using a login details and a password for the old webite and the new one wants me to use an email address and a password. I don't want to screw up anything when it comes to K1 process so that's why I'm asking goofy questions. 😅

Thank you tons and greetings from Poland!

    Marta

I made a new account yesterday. My details wouldn't work from the old site to the new site. I just went in and input my information again. Hope this helps! 😊

I'm still going to be checking both!

Hi all. We just received NOA2 on Sep 22nd (NOA1 receipt date Mar 23rd). My fiancé works in the bush and is only in Jo’burg every 6 weeks. Thus, we are hoping to do medical appt the week of Nov 6th and get Nov 15th interview date.

He already has his original (unabridged) birth certificate and applied for police clearance earlier this month, received a message that his clearance certificate has been finalised on Sep 27th, so just waiting for a message that tells him its ready to collect. Also need to send I-134 form before the interview using DHL if it still requires wet signature, but I’ve seen conflicting information on these forums. Can you clarify please, @Greenbaum?

Now just waiting on NVC to issue case number now. @kemm360 when do you advise filling out the DS160? I know it’s saved on the website for 30 days so if he fills out now, once it shows as sent to US embassy in Jo’burg, we can book interview- is that correct?! Thanks in advance!!

Ps, @Vintage girl I haven’t seen my fiancé since last October 2017 so almost 1 year. We also have a 4 month old little boy he’s never met, so I completely understand your emotions- frustration, anxious, hopeful with anticipation, excited. Many congrats on your recent approval! 🎉

Congrats! This gives me hope that we will get our NOA2 soon! Our date is April 13th. How did you receive your NOA2 notification? Was it through email or mail?

  9. Hi everyone! Just wanted to join in on this thread and say hello. My I-29F was received April 13th, so am still in the waiting game to get my NAO2.

Do have a question. My husband is Mozambican and I am American. He speaks and understands English, but not strongly. Will this be a problem for the interview? We have no option but to go to South Africa as they don't process K1's in Mozambique.
