Hello everyone! I wanted to check in and share our experience. We were meant to have our GC interview on December 5th. Unfortunately, the night before, we got a call that my mother-in-law was unexpectedly in the hospital and she might not make it. We decided we had to be there and flew out to England and put in a request to reschedule the interview that night. We were in England for one month and tragically, my husband's mother passed away . As you can all understand, it's been extremely hard for us. That said, has anyone else experienced this? Now, we are just waiting for a new appointment? We filed in May and our interview was scheduled for December. Do you think it will be another 7 months for an interview? We are located in Boston by the way if that helps. Right now, our case just reads that it is "reopened" as of December 6th (after originally appearing as rejected on the 5th when we didn't show up to the interview). If anyone has any insight on our situation, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello! We are also waiting for our interview. PD is May 15th but we didn't get the biometrics until October 3rd. Status changed to "Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview" on October 5th. Waiting since then.

Thanks! Actually, no I did not send them anything. I just did the request through EMMA and the request was for Severe financial loss.
Wow this is so interesting! I wonder if we should try that... I am also feeling so desperate

Bit of an anticlimax really!
I also had 2 letters, both notifications saying that my EAD and AP has been approved and it will be mailed to me shortly.
Still, at least it's moving along. Hope you get your combined card in hand today!!
It was the biometrics for the I-485! Still good news though. Seems like now we're where we should be anyway... Hopefully the wait won't be too long from here.

Update. Status changes to 'card mailed to me' yesterday and I can see I have a letter in the mail from the USCIS today. Checked once already, no post man yet!
What does the informed delivery look like? Just so I can be prepared 😂

YES!! It was our biometrics appointment! It's only for EAD but we're happy with some progress! The appointment is for Monday but he's going to try for a walk-in tomorrow. Hopefully things will keep moving from here on out!

Same here! The Tier 2 that I spoke to today basically just told me the same thing that was sent to my email last July telling me that a decision has not been made yet. When I asked for an explanation, he just hung up on me. So rude!!! It’s irritating!!! Why were you called a higher level officer if you are just going to repeat what USCIS agents can tell me?
What is the normal processing time?
Hate how rude they can be.... It's so frustrating and discouraging.
For EAD/AP it's 2.5-5 months so as soon as we're past 5 months, I am reaching back out so they can call.

Package sent: 5/20
NOA1: 5/23
NOA1 notices received: 5/30
Biometrics appointment: ???????????
1st request of action: 7/3 - no answer, even they have 30 days
2nd request of action: 8/2 still nothing
Anyone waiting 3 months for an biometric notice? (Cleveland, Ohio)
Our NOA1 is 5/13 and we're also still waiting for biometrics
Our local office is Boston, MA

We're now on day 81 of waiting without a biometrics appointment. Dave called again today and asked to be elevated to a Tier 2 Rep and after the typical few hours of waiting, he got a call. He said the woman seemed pretty annoyed that we've been calling and didn't give us any new information. She just told him he was well within processing times. He tried to say that we've been told several times the biometrics appointment should arrive within 30 days of the NOA1 but she just wasn't having it and refused to comment on why our case might be taking longer. Feeling so discouraged
