Reached out to Senator Warren yesterday and I just got a call from someone in her office.  She said if we sign a release form, Elizabeth Warren will reach out to USCIS on our behalf and ask about the biometrics. Hoping this means we're actually getting closer to some real answers!

Yup... and after 30 days, still nothing.

So today we called USCIS again and they told us that they sent us a letter yesterday basically just saying that my husband's biometrics appointment has not been scheduled yet. 😞

Dave said they were really nice on the phone but didn't have much information.... Just that it will take more time.  They also told him that it doesn't necessarily mean our green card or EAD/AP are delayed, just that the biometrics cannot be scheduled yet. Very frustrating....

So my husband just called USCIS and as usual, we have a super confusing answer.  He said that they told him they could see that we called on June 11th and for some reason that restarts our 30 days???  So they said now we should call on July 11th if we haven't heard anything by then........???  I really do not understand this.... I am going to try and call back tonight when we are together and question them more because they told us before to call back on June 26th so this July 11th date seems out of nowhere.  They also mentioned that the service request that was put in on June 11th has not been touched.... Feeling that all too familiar helpless feeling of dealing with USCIS 😭

Fwiw we were processed from Lawrence MA, not the Boston office. I have heard that USCIS has moved some cases around to improve processing times so hopefully yours can get moved to Lawrence for a faster processing! 

I think there was someone else on here who was out of the Lawrence office and they hadn't heard anything in 5 months which made me so nervous. Not sure why theirs has taken that long and mine was so fast 😳

Oooh good to know!! We live in Somerville so I think we'd be out of the Boston office..... Either way I really hope it's a quick turnaround... Thanks for sharing your experience

Wow this is so encouraging!!!  We also are filing in the Boston office and I really hope we get lucky as well.... Our NOA1s are dated May 13th but we still don't have the biometrics date yet..... Hopefully this won't slow us down too much.  Congratulations though!!!  This really made me hopeful

Yes, a week or so ago.  They said to call back on June 26th if we haven't received it yet...

Same here.  We called tonight and they said it hasn't been sent out but they did give us a reference number and said to call back if we haven't received the letter by June 26th.  My guess is that they haven't sent it out yet but now that we called, they'll send it.  🙄

ahh, thank you! I just figured it out as well! except it let me stay on hold to speak with someone when I entered in the case number! I hate automated systems!!

I'm getting a little worried because we haven't gotten our biometrics appointment yet..... Our NOA1s are dated for May 13 (AP/EAD) and May 15 (AOS).  Should I be worried?  Anyone else in the same boat?  Thanks!

We received our paper copies of the NOA1s last night  

Finally!  We received all three text notifications last night! 😄  And money taken out of my account!! Who knew that would be so exciting! Haha

Our case was delivered to the PO Box this morning!  Reeeaaaally hoping for good news this time 😬

Timeline:

Married: April 24, 2019

AOS Sent via FedEx: April 28, 2019

Delivered and Signed for: May 1, 2019

Sent back to us Rejected due to "Wrong Edition": May 6, 2019

Received Rejection by Mail: May 8, 2019

Re-Sent Package via USPS: May 9, 2019

Delivered: May 13, 2019

Make sure you place the yellow page at the top that they sent you with the rejection. I did include a cover letter explaining the situation and that we were asked to resubmit as is after speaking with an agent over the phone. I’m wondering if this is happening a lot...

Thank you SO much for responses!!  Ok, that is exactly what we will do then.... Wow this is so frustrating.... But I'm really happy to hear that it all worked out for you in the end!  Do you remember if they kept your same case number?  I'm hoping I'll be able to check online to see when they accept it.

I know this is an old post but.... same thing just happened to us!! We spoke to USCIS and they told us to just send everything back as is.... Did this work for others?  Also, did your case # stay the same?  Or did you get assigned a new one?  My plan is to send everything bag, pretty much as is.  In the same order we received it all except with the green piece of paper saying what happened on top.  I also was going to include another copy of the I-485, resigned, and a letter explaining what happened and my call to USCIS.  Did this work for everyone?  Thanks. @Iamsaguitarios, @TNgirl, @shawndee, @Jessica&Shawn

So I called them last night and after being on hold for over an hour they basically confirmed that it must have been their mistake and now we just have to send it all back to them..... 😞  So, we're going to do that today... Our plan is to attach a letter explaining what happened and send back everything exactly as they sent it back to us and include another copy of the I-485 just in case with a new signature and everything... My check was also returned so I think I'm just going to send that same one back to them.... Feeling so sad about this.

Hey guys,  so our petition was refused because they said we submitted an out of date I-485.  I'm so disappointed because this sets us way back now   But I'm also confused.  It looks like what we submitted and what I see on the website are the same.... Can someone send me the link to the file they sent?  The one I sent out says "Expires 06/30/2019" and on the bottom left of every page says "Form I-485 12/13/17 N".  Thanks guys 😞
