I got my case number !!!!!!!
I was soooo sad today because USCIS told me they hadn't even sent my case yet.... Guess everyone who said they don't know anything was right because I called NVC and they had the number ready for me! What a roller coaster of emotions this process is.

@MaryDave1992 - re the time it takes to get your package received by the NVC. After waiting so long for the USCIS, this part of the process is painfully slow. In my case, it took 11 weeks from the time that the USCIS sent the NOA that the application was approved and being sent to the NVC to the time that the NVC received (and then processed) the application. It took 4 weeks just for the NVC to receive it, then almost 7 weeks for them to process it. After 11 weeks, I got the email with a case ID nd invoice number. Now there is a problem with the CEAC system that will not allow me to log in and pay my fees/upload documents. It is a frustrating, waiting game and no amount of calling seemed to make a difference for me. Hope that you have better luck, but I would expect a few more weeks of delay.
Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear yours is also taking longer than expected 11 weeks is brutal..... I suppose I'm already halfway there though....
Does anyone have experience with the scanning it into NVC option? It will be 6 weeks since NOA2 next week for me. I know at that point they ask that a scanned copy is sent. Has anyone done this/ know how long it takes to get processed from there?
Thanks

Its because they have no clue. your package gets sent from California, whereas the guy you talked to is in Texas. They are completely disconnected. They can't actually see what each other are doing unless someone in Cali specifically puts something into the computer. in order to get information from CSC they actually have to open a case requesting info from them. You're wasting your time calling USCIS. It's just one big jumbled mess dealing with them, because they truly don't know what's going on and the best you're going to get is guesses laid out as fact. Just call NVC everyday around 7pm eastern, you'll get an answer soon.
Thanks for the reply. I was also getting the idea that they didn't actually know anything. So frustrating waiting for an answer from them all day and getting nothing. So, basically, there's no way to know why my case hasn't been sent out after over 4 weeks? I really hope we hear soon... I feel like this has put us 4 weeks behind now 😩

So I was finally able to get through to someone today at USCIS (around 4:30 EST) and they told me my case hadn't been sent out yet. My NOA2 was January 24th and they confirmed that was my approval date. The guy on the phone was remarking at how strange it was that it wasn't sent and said they should all be sent out within 10 days of the approval. He said I would need to speak to a tier 2/ immigration officer but that none were around and to call back in two hours. So, I called back at 6:30, was on hold for an hour, and just spoke with another woman. I asked to be transferred to an immigration officer and she asked for my receipt number. I gave her all my information and she said she would connect me to an immigration officer. Then, I got an automated message saying that they were too busy and that someone would call me back in approximately 200 minutes (!!!!!).
Long and frustrating story short, my actual question is: when does this call center close? I'm guessing that there's no way I get a call back tonight, right? Should I expect a call tomorrow or do I need to call back and start again?
Update: I did get a call back. The person on the phone was extremely confusing and after a few attempts to try and clarify, we got disconnected. Feeling pretty disappointed right now...
He was confusing because he said that they are sent out in batches and could take up to 60 days to be received by NVC. So, I tried to clarify and said "but my case hasn't been sent yet, correct?" and he said well it can take up to 30 days for us to receive notice from the location where your case was processed? So, I asked a follow-up question because I didn't really understand what he was saying... Then we got disconnected after that....
Should I try calling again tomorrow? Was this guy just uninformed? Or can someone explain what he's talking about?
Thanks guys and sorry for the rambling... This is making me just a little crazy 😩

Can I ask you guys; when you got your NOA2 did it say you would hear within 6 weeks from NVC? Ours said 2-4 weeks, we're just over 4 weeks and still nothing 😕
Do you mean on the NOA2? I don't remember if it said on it 2-4 weeks (I can check later) but I know every time I call, NVC tells me "it could be up to 6 weeks"

It's been 4 weeks for me and still no case number from NVC It seems to be backed up at the moment. Hopefully you'll get yours soon! Do you know the number to call? Maybe you can ask them about the address change...?

Agree you should give USCIS and see if they shipped. It would give you a little peace of mind, at least to know maybe it's at NVC desk now waiting to get processed.
Do you know when they're open until? And do I have to ask for a tier 2?
Thank you!!

Ours took 23 days and you are technically still within the legit timeframe of 6 weeks. All you can do is be patient because unfortunately some cases take longer than others.
Thank you. Trying to be patient and not worry about anything because I know it's normal and happens to so many people but it's hard to see so many breeze through this step and not think "is something wrong?" Hopefully, we'll get it before that 6 week mark or I really will worry lol.

I know! I was just about to say that to you too! Call tomorrow towards the end of the day and Tuesday morning. This wait is the worst, praying for you but I'm sure they will get it soon! Also, don't know if this helps but I called the non-immigrant phone line ending in 0888. All other times my fiancé called the other line and they told him they didn't have it. Might just be a coincidence but worth a try!
Thanks! I have been calling that non-immigrant line as well. I'll try again tomorrow and maybe give USCIS a call as well. Good luck getting everything together from here! Let's keep in touch!

I would call USCIS and try to find out when they shipped it. It took us 28 days since NOA2 to get a case number. My guess is that you should know yours soon. But to make sure, do ask the date they shipped it to NVC. It takes about 7-8 days to get from USCIS to NVC.
Thank you! I'll try that next

FINALLY received our NVC case number.
NOA2 - Jan 22
NVC - Feb 21
She didn't give me a receipt date, but when we called on Friday they didn't have it so must have arrived earlier this week.
Hey, another Boston-UK relationship. And your dates are so similar to ours! I hope that means we get our case number soon too! Congratulations

I have a group of friends on FB who have the same NOA1 date of 9/14 and no word from USCIS yet for any of them. Idk what's going on with that day but I've seen very few get approved. I have a feeling there's still a stack of them somewhere that someone hasn't gotten to. Keep your chin up! By the time you realize it, it will come!
Are you in Facebook groups for this? I'd love to join some since this is basically all I can talk/ think about anymore 🙃

Thank you and the same to you! Depending when your case was sent to the NVC, you could give them a call tomorrow morning and hope for your case number. This would let you get your medical booked (and then be in with a fighting chance of March appointment)! 😄
Our NOA2 was Jan 24th and as of Monday, when I last called, no case number 😟 My plan is to try again tomorrow. Would love to have that medical in February if we can haha.

I can't see as it's booked now. But to be honest with you, all through January there were a lot of January dates.
Up until yesterday there were still like 20th, 21st & 22nd of Feb appointments available 🙂
Thank you! And good luck on your interview!!!

Hey, they might just ignore it but they did answer my first message that my case had been received and all I said was “No questions. Just would like to have this email added to my NVC file for when updates come in. Thank you!”
It does no harm to send another message and they might respond in a week. In the message box just ask for your case number if it has been assigned. If you want a response sooner I would just call them
Thank you! 😊
