So happy to be here though

First, don't begin calling for 10 business days after you get your text message (NOA2). Second, you will need the Petitioner's and Beneficiaries full name and date of birth.
 
Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth. If they don't have the case, you will be told it can take 30 to 45 days for them to receive it and to wait however many days/weeks and call back. That's a pad answer so ignore it. You can call back the next day or as often as you want. NVC's hours are 7am to 12 am (midnight) eastern time. Monday through Friday except Federal Holidays. Calling early at 7 am on the dot will get you in the fastest or calling late the lines to be open most often.
 
When you have your case number, enter it here https://ceac.state.g...ker/status.aspx and it will tell you one of three things... At NVC, In Transit, or Ready.

I wasn’t going to post until we got the letter but fiancé rang today and they told him they mailed out the RFE on the 14th September! 😁

OMG WE GOT APPROVED LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks everyone for the lots of positive messages throughout the long wait and being helpful always! It's such a great community! *updating my timeline now*

We got our approval too!!! The mail got faster than the message and email... I am so so so happy. Celebrating our 5 year dating anniversary today makes this approval really special. It's the last day we will be celebrating it apart

01/25/2018 – NOA1 new website
08/24/2018 – submitted online inquiry, one day out of normal processing times, received request ID number, "expect reply by Sept. 15th"
08/27/2018 – called USCIS and spoke to Tier 2, "still not very far out of processing time", "wait until Sept. 15th, when inquiry is complete"
08/27/2018 – submitted online request to USCIS Ombudsman online – received e-mail acknowledgement "will contact me if able to help"
08/28/2018 – contacted my US senator using Greenbaum's links – filled out online form – printed form and mailed it to address provided
08/29/2018 – contacted my US representative using Greenbaum's links – was simple online form, which was submitted online, no receipt
09/04/2018 – called USCIS and spoke to Tier 1, "everything looks fine", "no negative decision or impact", "please wait for result of inquiry..."
09/04/2018 – received response from Ombudsman, "case is not yet outside of normal processing times". I will appeal this with explanation
09/07/2018 – received response to USCIS online case inquiry: "with officer", "under review", "will contact if more info needed", "please wait" :-)
 
09/14/2018 – called USCIS and spoke to Tier 2, "under adjudication", "is in final stage of process", "no issues", "please wait another 30-60 days"
 
 
Officer tried to help, indicated that there was nothing wrong, it was just taking time. Confirmed that in fact February has already started, we were taking longer than normal. Said that the case was "in adjudication" which meant that all background checks were done, but the officer had around 10 cases at a time to work on, and mine was likely being left to the last.
He did say, though, that in his experience we were in good shape and could expect to have a decision within 30-60 days.
 
So not totally encouraging, but at least there's nothing wrong, and at least were are in the later steps of the process and not just stuck some where....right? 😀

-appeal response from Ombudsman
-schedule infopass meeting with immigration officer

NOA1 on January 22nd and 25th and NOA2 on September 13.

Most people who have responded to an RFE can, however, expect further action by USCIS within about 60 days. If you don't receive a response or update within 94 days since USCIS originally sent you the RFE, it's a good idea to call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Yep, I was thinking that I read on here it was 60 days to respond. I pray none of you have to wait that long but if you do, just know you're not the only one!!

Alright guys it happened, we got APPROVED!

I called this morning and the agent seem reluctant to give me any information after I told her I was the beneficiary. She asked what I wanted and I very kindly said that we're reaching 8 months and the last thing we heard was that our case was received. She then said we were approved. I then asked if she was sure lol she said she was. Then I said its because we've been waiting so long that I wanted to make sure. She then proceeded to tell me that it was approved yesterday and went to to repeat my case number and repeat our names and birth-dates. Then she said I haven't heard anything online because they're having problems with their systems. I still could not believe it and neither could my fiancee so she called them too and they also informed her that it was approved. Im gonna trust the two agents lol So I believe its official guys!

No updates as of yet on any of the two sites btw. 

I know the journey is just beginning but I wanted to thank everyone for the support so far and thank everyone for the prayers and wishful thinking!

So i rang this morning, as i do every morning but today I was greeted with news that we were approved yesterday at Day 229. 
 
No update via text or email also no update to the old or new site but NOA2 is in the mail. I had opened an inquiry for outside of standard processing times on 8/20 and got a generic reply on 8/30 but this was the first proper update i have gotten..... and it was the approval!!
 
To anyone still waiting keep the faith as hopefully all January filers will be approved very soon. Also does anyone have the link for the Sept NVC thread and i hope to see you there very very soon.
 
 

Sent RFE today by priority mail.  They should have it tomorrow by 3pm ✨

I think all 3 of us have the same RFE day. Mine is expected to be delivered to California in the next hour or so. Fingers crossed! 
 

Finally! Rfe turn around was super quick. My rfe was for not checking off the no criminal offenses box. Date on new website was 01/29/2018

My case is not updated in old or new site for rfe. I check other ones and they are updated in old site. We are sending out rfe today by mail, 

We sent ours yesterday too! and I am hoping for the same thing I hope this wait is not as long as the first wait!

Hi guys! We sent our RFE yesterday. Now another round of waiting begins. I really hoped we get approved quickly.

Hi guys,
 
I  called USCIS today to ask about my case and she said that we are approved! The new site updated after an hour of the phone call. I am so exited and no RFE! Looks like there was another approval here today as well! She said I have to wait for the NO2 for further instructions. I was crying happy tears. Hang in there everyone! Praying for more approvals this week!
 
225 days!

OMG! I had to wait the entire holiday weekend to receive my mail because my neighbor parked in front of my mailbox. Was expecting a paper receipt of my inquiry of out of processing tome...it was NAO2 instead!!! Can’t believe it! Old site January 31, new site Feb 5. No updates to either website. 

APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!
 
NOA2 Sept 4th at 2pm via text. Only old website.
 
No RFE despite only 1 letter of intent to marry 😁😁😁
 
 
245 days!!!

We went back to do the same thing and, after 2 years of not signing in, our messages were gone 😔
 
We are just submitting the TOS with a letter explaining why it is not an IMB, by definition according to the IMBRA.  It should be fine.  
 
I emailed the site as well to see if our messages can be recovered, or if someone could at least respond with a statement proclaiming it is not an IMB.  
 
Will they get back to me anytime soon?  I’m not holding my breath....
