Got the "ready for interview" today.  So excited to enjoy the anxiety and anticipation that comes along with not knowing if my interview will be scheduled tomorrow, or 2 years from now  

Am I considered as August filer?😁  Filed last July 31st then received by R MERCADO August 1 and 3 NOA's notification thru text message and email August 5 and received the 3 NOA letter last August 9... good luck to all of us

Some people send those stuff but I personally believe it's really unnecessary especially because there's no mention of it in the list of requiered supporting documents but as you can imagine not everyone has that at the time of filing. I didn't send anything like that.
 
And applying for AP and EAD won't hurt cause you don't pay an extra fee. You never know what might happen. 

The AP is an easy form to fill out and doesn't require any fee when submitted with the I-485. There isn't really a reason not to include it in your package.  I included no evidence of relationship, only the documentation required.  You can use the cover page in the first post of this thread as a guide.

Agree with Lana&Ivy............you don't need relationship evidence at this point.   You will need it later so start collecting that info.   With regard to the bank account, you may want to include that on your affidavit of support if your income doesn't meet the guidelines.  My income met the requirements, but I'm retired and included a bank statement just to provide some cushion.
I would apply for the EAD and AP even if you don't plan to use them.   We are not planning to use the EAD, but what the heck............it's free.   Both forms are simple.   Obviously your call, but it's free to include them with the 485, and most people love free stuff.

Had my interview this morning and i passed 😍😍😍 it’s just a quick interview. we with my fiance arrived at the consulate around 6:45am and i was scheduled at 7:30am. there is already a line up outside the consulate and they started to accommodate us around 7:30am good thing not too cold outside😂

They get both USA and Canada holidays as far as I know 🙃

Thanks @Greenbaum and also i'll take into consideration the holidays during and after my interview week which i guess slowed the process 😉 hopefully tomorrow or in the following days might get the "issued" status

I believe "application received" is still the first notice you would get, which means your case hasn't been updated since interview. Likely the holiday has slowed last week's cases as they are closed today and were closed Friday.
 
Our case didn't change out of "received" until Friday after the interview so you will probably start seeing movement tomorrow or shortly after once the consulate is open again.

That's mainly why we booked for the whole week as well, after seeing the Bush shutdown. 
 
We really enjoyed exploring the Old Montreal area and the Mile End neighborhood. And check out Mont Royal, it's pretty much right up the road from where the consulate is. Schwartz deli is definitely not to be missed! Also this adorable little sweets shop called Le Petite Dep in old mtl. If you like craft beer check out Brewsky also in old mtl. I think we spent like 8 hours there
 
I didn't have any problem with anyone speaking French. We pretty much used basic French greetings and such and most people seemed to be able to tell we didn't speak French and would immediately switch to English. Everyone was very friendly. 
One downfall I did notice is that if you are looking to have a celebratory alcoholic beverage after your interview at 830 a.m. on a Weds.... they are not easy to find bahaha.

So I crossed the border with my fiancée yesterday, and it was a breeze! Took only about 20 mins, and it was basically all just waiting. We crossed at the Detroit border and will be flying to Seattle in about two hours! ☺️ It was honestly the fastest/easiest part of the whole process, and all the border guards were super nice. We just handed them the packet, they went through it and put another small document in my passport to say when the K1 expires, and that was it! So great! It was a crazy nine-month process, and it all worked out so perfectly!

Ahahaha, I couldn't believe when they said it'd cost $50 for delivery. I responded "never mind, keep it here" 😂 
My interview will be at 9am, so I'd still have time to get it that morning.

that's also the option that they said on me as they opened at 6:45am but my interview is at 7:30am so i'll pick it up a day before my interview. I also inquire about sending my results to my home address but it was $50 delivery fee and yes pick up is the best option😂

Hi guys. I had my interview this morning. I got approved. It was straightforwarded questions. I think it lasted like 5 minutes.  Thanks for all your help here. Hope it won't take too long for them to issue my visa since I'm permanent resident. Will update here soon. Goodluck to everyone.

There is a bus from airport to downtown.  Consulate is downtown.  Medisys is about a 10 minute walk from consulate.
